YouTube reporter Atamaii has uploaded a video from the Tokyo Toy Fair that gives us a good look at Takara Tomy TG-23 Metroplex. Among other things confirms that the figure will come with two guns, rather than just the one like the Hasbro version, a chrome face and slightly different paint apps. The video also claims that this version is the same as the exclusive Comic Con one. Is this also the SDCC version?
Take a look at the embedded video, and discuss it below!
The Generations line has seen it's fair share of molds that are used and reused and given several different options for release. Generations Bruticus (and it's five components) are no different. We've seen Onslaught and co. in different color schemes throughout TF history, with their debut in 1986. With the newest incarnation of the Generations line, we see the Combaticons redesigned from top to bottom. No longer WWII vehicles and a space shuttle, now they're Cybertronian vehicles, the likes of which we hadn't seen before. First it was a redesign, then it was a redeco and it's been redecoed several times since. First, a retrospective of sorts...
Since mid 2012, the Generations Bruticus mold has seen various releases and designs:
And now you can be one step closer to owning Ruination with the four limb robots now available for sale at Hasbro Toy Shop! (Unfortunately, the fifth and final robot, Impactor (based on the Onslaught mold) is currently not available. Please keep checking back on the HTS site so you can order him once he becomes available.)
(NOTE: You can click on any of the images below to be taken to that product's ordering page.)
All figures come with new weapons, new paint decos and newly designed heads. All are priced @ $14.99 and they're available to ship right now @ HTS.com
Can't wait to get the figures, gonna be buying? Check out the pics, links and our Bruticus galleries! Feel free to join the discussion and give us your thoughts and comments.

Continuing in their tradition of releasing Transformers inspired redecos of G.I.Joe vehicles as SDCC exclusives Hasbro has announced this year's set, a G.I. Joe V.A.M.P. as Hound and G.I. Joe Skystriker as Jetfire with booster pack! The also includes a mini Blaster with cassettes, Baroness with Ravage, Bludgeon inspired Samurai, and Snake Eyes sporting an outfit complete with Autobot symbol. The set comes packaged in a box meant to resemble a vintage comic cover. These and more Hasbro SDCC exclusives can be found over at USA Today by clicking here.
The packaging of the 'G.I Joe/Transformers' mash-up exclusive is even a throwback —it pays homage to a 1980s comic-book miniseries.
An old-school G.I. Joe V.A.M.P. vehicle is retooled in the deco of Autobot cult fave Hound, originally an Army Jeep in the cartoon.
The set stars a G.I. Joe Skystriker with a paint job inspired by the Autobot, Jetfire.
No G.I. Joe set is complete without the resident ninja commando Snake Eyes — this time sporting an Autobot logo on his outfit.
If you're so inclined, you can have the Cobra femme fatale Baroness take Decepticon Ravage out for a walk
The Decepticon character Bludgeon inspired this action figure of a robotic samurai warrior with a skeleton head.
The Autobot Blaster — and his tapes — shows up in the set in his boom-box form. (Kids, ask your parents what a boom box is.)

Transformers Generations Titan Class Metroplex SDCC exclusive? Site sponsor Robotkingdom has updated their pre-order page for the ACG-CON HK Exclusive version with a description that states it's expected to have the SDCC color scheme. This actually coincides with insider info that we were given prior to Metroplex's big reveal at Toy Fair 2013. As we know from past SDCC's Hasbro isn't afraid to bring out the big guns for their exclusives. Last year Transformers fans got the Fall of Cybertron Bruticus box set and they released the massive Avengers S.H.I.E.L.D. Super Helicarrier. No hints as to what the new the deco will be, but the G1 mold did have one repaint as Metrotitan.
