Walmart Canada now has the entirety of the first wave of Transformers Studio Series available in their stores, including the leader class toys Grimlock and Blackout. The voyagers and deluxes are also present and those two classes can also be purchased on their website. The prices are the new MSRP based on the price jump from the Pemier Edition Transformers: The Last Knight toys, where deluxes are $29.97, voyagers are $39.97 and leaders are $69.97.

These toys are trickling across North America right now, at various retail outlets (Target in the US now has the leaders for instance) and opinions have been mixed but generally more positive than negative. Many wonder if this line will continue and Hasbro already did confirm more toys coming, such as the toys for characters from the upcoming Bumblebee movie that have been pushed to a later release in an attempt to be on shelves closer to the film's release.

Incredible Deal on Transformers Titans Return Trypticon Found at Ollie's

Titans Return Trypticon has just been found at Ollie's for $12.99. While this may sound unbelievable, the person who found it has given photo evidence, along with the product number and receipt in case you want to check out if your local Ollie's has one. For those unaware, this retail chain, named Ollie's Bargain Outlet, sells surplus from other places and is a dumping ground for bankruptcy sales and closeout of other retailers and manufacturers (this might be a dumping ground for Toysrus). Trypticon was found at a store in Florida by Animal Mother, a toy colelctor who posted the finding on the TFW2005 boards. The digits above the bar code are 316 D8 and he item number is 157342. This is by far the lowest a titan class figure has been acquired at retail, beating out that Fort Max at Ross deal from last year.

I found one there last night and can confirm at that price. I'm usually only interested in MP's, but even I couldn't pass it up.

The red Ollie's price tag is there on the upper right hand corner of the box. Don't know how they do it, but they're able to get awesome closeout deals and pass along the savings. A lot of people (myself included) have been getting dirt cheap DC Comics books on closeout from them for the past few months. Good luck to all on the hunt!

For what it's worth, the cashier said she hadn't seen them before and figured they had just got them in. This was at the Callaway, FL Ollie's btw. Perhaps the price/tag was intended for another Transformer, but it does show up as one on the receipt.

It has been months since we had anything new to share related to the Transformers Cyberverse toyline. Well, now we have some new stock images showing the toys in packaging. We get a good idea at the finished decos here. We have images of ultimate class Optimus Prime and Megatron. Some assembly is required on Optimus. These are leader sized toys made simpler (articulation and transformation wise) and at the lower price point of $29.99.

We also have images of ultra class Bumblebee, Starscream, and Grimlock which are voyager sized but priced lower, at $19.99. All these toys are gimmick heavy and made for younger audiences, similarly to the previous Robots in Disguise 3-step toys, but with seemingly better articulation.

A number of Seibertron.com community members - such as westjames/notirish - have been sending us a notification of what appears to be a rumoured new figure in the Transformers Studio Series line - or at least, a new backdrop appearing on the TFCN fan group, and leading to speculation of either a new Megatron or Sentinel Prime figures appearing later in the line, once the current waves are dealt with.

The backdrop appears to depict the Chicago Bridge scene from Dark of the Moon, which features both of the characters, alongside Optimus Prime. As many fans have been asking for a bigger truck Megatron this might be a good outlet, but so far there have been no repeats, so Sentinel may equally be feasible - what do you think? Let us know in the discussion!

A new background for a mystery #StudioSeries figure. This takes place on the Chicago Bridge where Optimus and Sentinel fought, and also looks like the shot where Megatron said “who would you be without me?” Swipe to see each shot. Do you think this will be for Megatron or Sentinel? If they did make Megatron, my guess would be that he would have the desert as his background, but I would love a DOTM Megatron update. Updating our stories about the latest wave of Transformers: The Last Knight Tiny Turbo Changers, which had yet to be seen anywhere at retail or in photography, we have a whole slew of in-hand images of the wee critters below!

We've also re-included the package codes for each figure if you're only after select characters, and Seibertron notes the following for those interested:

Bumblebee is the same as previous releases, based off his Age of Extinction appearance. The red figures are all the exact shade of red. The blue figures are all different shades. Barricade is his Transformers (2007) version and is my personal favorite from this wave, though Ironhide is a really, really close 2nd. Speaking of which, Ironhide shares transformation with Grimlock. Drift is AOE blue versus previous red The Last Knight version. Silver Knight Optimus Prime is obviously recolor of previous version. Ratchet is an obnoxious yellowish neon green color, very different from digital product images. Phantom Strike Lockdown is the same, just translucent. Sky Rage Starscream is a red recolor of previous Starscream figures. Dino is a red recolor of Series 2 Hot Rod.

While the Transformers Studio Series has been hotly anticipated, the initial reactions have been mixed. There are some stellar pieces while also some odd engineering and manufacturing decisions. The biggest ones being the car roof for Bumblebee missing a pin and Blackout's bizarre hand orientation.

So, two in our community came up with fixes which they sent us and we in turn share them with you.

This Bumblebee fix comes from Carnivius_Prime:

I modded them so they are now vertical instead of horizontal, i.e. in a more natural position. They still pivot up and down, but the hand is now vertical. It's not easy to get that wrist pin out, and the end result is not as pretty as I would like (the hands are now visible in alt mode, almost exactly like the Voyager mold), but it works. Once the wrist pin gets pulled, you drill a hole perpendicular to the original hole so it intersects it. It should be near the middle of the cylindrical section, just about in line with the base of the thumb.

You'll need a small screw to secure the hand through the inner pin bracket and the new hole, so the hand pivots on the inside of the space where the hand was originally. This leaves some empty space, which you can fill in by gluing on some little bits of kibble from some other robot or whatnot (I haven't done this yet). There is some minor trimming involved to get the hands to fit nicely in alt mode. You end up with the hands visible, much like the Voyager mold, but they look like helicopter equipment to me.

Interestingly, once you have the hand off, there is another way to mount it so it pivots side to side, instead of up and down. Just drill a hole for a screw in the rear edge of the flat body part of the arm, near the Air Force emblem. Then screw into the hole for the original pin, rather than the new hole (if you've already drilled it).

In the previous article we showed you some images of what the packaging for this series looks like. We now have some better, up close product images of all of the Transformers characters that are included in this third series of Tiny Turbo Changers. (Colors may appear brighter on the actual figures.) This way you will know which figures are available in this blind bag set. Have a look at some shots of what their robot modes will look like. If you see a specific character that you want from these blind bags please refer to this article for the embossed letter code to tell who is in which pack.

Transformers Tiny Turbo Changers Series 3 has been revealed. We have some images of the packaging that they come in which has pictures of what the figures will look like. (Talk about your picture in picture!) Some of the colors may appear different than they do on the actual figure. From what we have heard Ratchet is a brighter neon green. We are still in the process of getting images of the loose figures so please stay tuned for that.

So far we know that the following characters will be included:

If you want a specific character make a note of the letter. Each pack will have a letter embossed somewhere on the back. The letter indicates which figure is inside the pack. For example if you want Bumblebee, look for an E on the back of the pack. Like in previous sets there may also be a small clear window to double check but that may not always work in poor lighting or where figures have similar colors. Happy Hunting!

New POTP Packaging Images with Bio and Giza Reveal for Nemesis Prime and Art for Wreck-Gar

We know there are several Transformers Power of the Primes exclusives coming our way and we now have new images featuring packaging elements for two of them: Deluxe Wreck-Gar and Leader Nemesis Prime. These images come from the TF-Factory Weibo account.

For Nemesis Prime, we get a look at his partner, Giza, whi is a bird that transforms into his sword. This is another reference to yet another Nemesis Prime, in this case the one from the Prime line which had a transforming sword partner with the same name (although it was a shark, and not a bird).

We also get the (slightly obscured) bio which tells us that this Nemesis Prime is simply an evil clone of Optimus Prime. For Wreck-Gar, we get the character art that will appear on his packaging.
