This past weekend we first reported about the first images of a red Chevy Aveo named Swerve being released. At that time not much about the figure was known. Since that time we have learned the figure was released as part of a promotion in China. Now it appears, that we have a new mystery reguarding the Chevy Aveo Transfromer. Ebay seller no_cd has posted an auction for a Yellow Aveo Transformer. Not much is known about the figure at this time. Stay tunned to the Seibertron.com Toy Section for the latest news about this figure. Here are the mirrored images:

I'd take the fact that the yellow car is parked over an instruction booklet with SWERVE on it as a clue that it's just a repaint, tho a damn good looking one.

tom brokaw wrote:sweet, looks awesome! however, hasbro should seriously quit it with the exclusives and release stuff for everyone to have.... at least have the molds available for everyone and repaints made as exclusives.
Given that Swerve was released as an exclusive in China, is it Hasbro's doing or TakaraTomy?

whoever is in charge, quit releasing products at a certain part of the world and letting it be an exclusive to them only. rather let it be available to everyone else in the world. does anyone see a hint of racism here? letting a certain group have a certain product and yet, not releasing it to others.

Okay that's just ridiculous.
Did you ever stop to consider that the car company forked out a LOT of money for this figure to be produced solely for this promotion?
Or are you happy to sit there and believe that the lack of TF figures that haven't made it to the UK in the last few years is also racist?

Thankfully no one ever told me "hey, you're a Pole! No Skywarp for you!" That would suck.

If you look at the auction for the red one, there is a bagged photo and it says 2007 Hasbo, Pawtucket Rhode Island.

With this being a limited run they may have just made them all and then split 50/50 on red and yellow

You know, that whole G2 Euro line thing with the Predators and Turbomasters and friends, wasn't really European only, they were released in Australia.
Over released at that. Anyone want a Stalker? I think every bloody koala is swinging from a tree with one.

Dont know about anyone else, but I'm a tad over bright yellow car transformers at the moment... Bumblebee overkill.
Still it's not a bad looking colour on that mold.

Just wanna second this, making exclusives readily availible makes them no longer exclusive.
I'm going through all my GM contacts to try and score one of these with no luck, and if it stayes that way, no big deal. And trust me, I work for US car dealers, if you showed up and test drove a car just for a figure, they'd rather burn it than give it to you!
That is of course assuming they didn't just toss out the box, keep them for their kids, or give them to me(I got so much GM Dealership swag this summer)
Still, it's a random transforming character, if it came from a line like RoadBots, I don't think anyone would care.
It is a unique mold, but it's still just a figure with no backround or anything like that. I could see the distain over the Seekers at BotCon(nope, not gonna let it die), Those where widely hoped for and anticipated by alot of people.
But this is just a transforming car used in an overseas PR promotion.
