I'm guessing it's true. I don't think that Galvatron is not an important character in the movie since he's being controlled by humans (and he doesn't look evil at all). Either Galvatron will get a mind of his own or 5 and 6 will have different villains. Right now, Lockdown is getting the most attention.

I'm thinking Galvatron won't gain control over his body until the end of AOE. And for the majority of the movie, Lockdown will be the main villain, saving Galvatron for TF5.

yeah.. that's definitely the new camaro.
also.. it just doesn't make sense to me that their designs would be so much different.. if the fall of cybertron characters came to earth, i'd think they'd look more G1 like rather than obtaining more complicated designs..
i REALLY hope this doesn't ruin the chance of getting a follow up to FOC where they crash on earth or something.
i mean.. they could do the next one with them crashing to earth and what not.. then the last game could follow the '86 movie story line and you'd have to destroy unicron at the end.

Why would you want them to skip the thousands of years of space exploration that take place after the ending of FOC but before the TFs' arrival on Earth?TimothyR wrote:i REALLY hope this doesn't ruin the chance of getting a follow up to FOC where they crash on earth or something.

I know that the vehicle modes aren't the same. Like I said before the concept Camaro looks a lot different than the 2010 Camaro. I just don't understand why Bumblebee's stealth mode looks similar to the DOTM Bumblebee. If Transformers: Age of Extinction is supposed to be fresh and new, why not new stealth modes?

It seems to me like they're trying to do this cheaply in time for the movie. Of course they're going to try to design as little as they have to and reuse as many assets as possible in order to put out this product. I just hope that they don't change the mechanics between this and foc. God forbid we have to deal with a cover system

Thats what I dont get. Why are the films using random characters that were made up last year. Lockdown? Really? From TF Animated?
Why dont they use from the bible of iconic characters that have been written in stone and time already.
Theres a whole slew of G1 comics and cartoon characters to use and that must be used first.
Thats what irks me about when ever we get a new Superman or Batman movie they all pretty much stick to the main-roster of characters and they pretty much stay within their iconic looks and appearances. When we get a TF movie we get a mix mash of new made up characters while the while other main characters hold little to no resemblance of their iconic look.
Sorry if this is off topic but Im sorry when I think of the next Transformers movie I dont think of the Lockdown character.
budmaloney wrote:I'm confused. Is this the sequel to FOC? I may have missed the news bit, but why isn't High Moon involved?
Good question. Who knows.
My feeling is that maybe they wanted to go a different route in terms of mechanics.
WFC mechanics were very tight and clean but then of course there were the infamous glitches that took place and I think High Moon decided to switch up their style of mechanics. So then we got to FOC and the mechanics were very loose and all over the place. At least the Destroyer role was and the Dinobot forms were very slippery.
Not to mention their MP menus and matchmaking system were not the best. You spend half your time starring at loading screens and not knowing if anyone is actually online playing or not. Then you get put into a empty lobby that you never asked to be in or a match thats nearly over and then everyone quits and leaves.
Story aside though (stories have been spectacular), there just hasn't been a decent consistency with the gameplay mechanics and functions and with the glitch debacle maybe Hasbro decided to try to go with manufacturer.
But just my theory.

This has nothing to do with Sabrblade's question.

Lockdown is one of them.

Not only that but we can probably expect to see the Generations product line littered with lazy repaints and half-assed retools of shelf warmers with one or two obligatory new molds. Basically pick up any peg warming DotM/Prime/Generations figures now and start mixing and matching parts and you'll be ahead of the "new" RotDS product releases and likely get better versions than Hasbro comes out with. That's IF they decide to put any figures out for the game.
Personally, after FoC I have no desire whatsoever to see the games or the product lines tainted with any kind of "movie" crossover. The Bayverse should be it's own separate entity and NEVER touch the rest of the TF continuity as far as I'm concerned. These idiots trying to align it into the regular continuity should have their asses kicked. It's like trying to promote an incestuous relationship with that creepy relative everyone tries to avoid at family gatherings.

Wasn't the Aligned universe meant to be separate from all the other Transformers multiversal streams? I thought they weren't meant to interact with the larger collection of continuities, so Hasbro could come up with a new mythology and not deal with multiversal singularities or Rarified Energon or any of the other McGuffins floating around that allow for these crossovers in the first place.

Though the Aligned continuity remains outside of the mutliverse, travel between the two is still possible (but perhaps a lot harder to do).
Not to mention that the guys who came up with the Aligned continuity's rules that set outside of the mutliverse are no longer with Hasbro, so the new team is free to do what they wish with the previous team's works.
Still, though, with Alpha Trion and Optimus Prime being among the original Thirteen in the Aligned continuity, there's no way on Earth that the Aligned continuity can be a part of the multiverse, so that still keeps it separate.
And, depending on how this game plays out, it's possible that the WFC/FOC parts of the game might not be the actual, main Aligned universe that we've been seeing in the main games, cartoons, comics, and novels, as it could possibly be an alternate universe only based on WFC/FOC, like how "Tales of the Beast Hunters" and Transformers Go! are separate from the main Aligned timeline.
