Seibertron.com member Kung Fu Man has shared a few in-hand and comparison images of the Transformers Dark of the Moon Voyager Shockwave repaint featuring translucent MechTech cannon and hose that surfaced a couple of weeks ago. Besides the obvious color changes and inclusion of translucent plastics, the Decepticon symbol has been moved from the cannon to the front portion/face cover of the tank. Still no word on the availability of this repaint.

If it is a ...

- US launch Repaint - I think they should have just taken the original and recolored all the colored parts purple. Just a translucent tip on his cannon would have been a nice touch along with a black hose from the cannon.

-Takara Version - same as above but with added shininess in various places.

man thats horrible, the clear parts on the original shockwave look ok but that repaint is bad.

Meh.....i'll stick to my G1. Although i do like the translucent plastic. I just still haven't seen a shockwave that beats the original and has tempted me to buy it. Even though the DOTM version is growing on me it just doesn't have a place in my collection whatsoever.

I think I'd like it more if the re-paints head was purple too.

Take AAALLLL The repaints and partswap them to shit until you get an all purple shocky. Cheers!

The tanslucent weapons looks great on shockwave but i'd keep the translucent tube on the original one as well.

I had the same notion!! Got both variants yesterday in the mail, some of the parts are the same colour as each other, unfortunately (so I can leave my 'normal' Shockwave as is), but, so far, I have managed to swap the chest - now I gotta figure out how to drift the pins out of their hinges to swap the feet, but now I have a more G1-ish Shockwave AND Shackwave:
