The Angry Birds Transformer Toys were found at Canadian retail, at the Target in downtown Montreal (Alexis Nihon), Quebec. Each toy is 12.99 cdn $. These toys are based on the upcoming mobile game announced earlier this year, which merges both franchises. The trailer can be found here.

If anyone is curious to find them, they were located in the board game section due to their association with Jenga.

Well that's the Times Square Toys R Us, of course it's going to look good. There are always tons of tourists going through the place. I doubt you want the prices of the toys in that Toys R Us though. Year of the Horse Optimus Prime was $160 and the deluxes are $20 something. So yeah, really jacked up...

Have you ever been there? It LOOKS great on the surface, but it actually has a worse selection than your average TRU. Unless you're looking for shelfwarmers, which they have in spades. They carry a small (and crappy) selection, but they put 20 of every figure on the shelf so it looks nice.

I tire of hearing Americans complain about jacked up prices move to anywhere else in the world and no matter what your dollar value is to ours we pay much more you have nothing to complain about you have the cheapest price for transformers even with 'jacked up' prices

The telepods thing is a good idea IMO.Just put a figure on the telepod and (you know this by now)
the character on the telepod will appear in your game.

My seven year old loved Bot Shots, Transformers and Angry Birds so this is a great meeting of the brands.I find it odd that TRU is the only one to pick it up.I guess all the over saturation of Angry Birds GO and Angry Birds Star Wars killed the brand.Oh well at least I know I can find them in one place.

Great! I'm tired of people who don't live in America telling Americans on how to behave. Mind your own business unless you'd like to tell me your country of origin (probably one without manners) so I can make snarky remarks about you.

The Angry Bird toys found earlier in this thread are also found at Target so the line as a whole is not exclusive, just some products.

The ones that actually transform seem to be the exclusives.

My apologies I realise now I generalised it to much as not all Americans complain about the price of Transformers but of the collectors who do complain the majority tend to be American based (which has more to do with the high ratio of American collectors to other countries) but a fact is a fact and not a snarky remark the forums here are full of people complaining about prices which are actually very cheap for example here in Australia (feel free to make snarky remarks about me now you know my country) $20.00 legends, $30.00 deluxe, $50.00 voyager and $100.00 leader prices vary with sales and such but this is the general amount and I have no problem paying this I understand prices change and If I have a problem with the price I won't buy it. I understand complaints about the figures themselves as the quality has dropped. Complaints on prices I find tiresome especially when it is complaining of a price which even after conversion (+ postage for those who import) still much less then the same item in other countries. I was not intending to be snarky and was not telling you how to behave merely expressing an opinion.

We're spoiled here in the US, it's true.

Anyway, I'm so on the fence with these toys. Not because they don't look fun, but because I know myself and worry that if I buy one and enjoy it then there's gonna be a whole shelf full of 'em, just like what happened with Bot Shots

Anyone know where I can find the Energon Racers set, the Bumblebee race set with Grimlock, and the Jenga sets at? Wow ... I came in late to the game on Angry Birds. I didn't realize that they were exclusive to Toys R Us (even though it says it right there in the Hasbro press release we received directly from Hasbro). I just figured they'd be available everywhere like the Star Wars Angry Birds were. Oops ... especially since I broke the news on the 5 pack being at Toys R Us in Times Square but passed on them because I thought $25 was an absurd price for a 5 pack of variants. These sets are all going for crazy money on the aftermarket already. It looks like they showed up in bulk overseas in some parts of Europe.

Did the Bumblebee/Grimlock race set ever show up at retail? I never saw it at a store ... but I wasn't really looking for it either. I saw all of the Angry Birds Transformers on sale for BOGO 40% off a week or so in early December and that was the last time I looked. I figured they'd be blowing them out at a greater discount later if they weren't selling. Boy was I wrong!

Does anyone know the retail price of the Jenga sets? They're available on Amazon but I don't know how much the markup is on those sets there.

Good evening fellow Seibertronians, I hope you're ready for some obscure new toy sightings. The Angry Birds Transformers Jenga single packs have been found at US retail, at an Ollie's Bargain Outlet in Raleigh, NC. Each set was marked at $4.99, and the assortment consists of Angry Birds versions of Galvatron, Lockdown, Soundwave, and Heatwave. Each set also includes some Jenga blocks to build up, run your bird into, or even destroy in a rampage.

Image

Some of you may be wondering, "So what?" Well, while we previously reported how these had been sighted in Canada several months ago, no US sighting was ever reported, and the awfully high aftermarket prices had many assuming these were completely canceled for the US market. Alas, at least for those of us with an Ollie's nearby, "Market Six" has come through like an old reliable watchdog once again, saving us from the putrid husk of overpriced Amazon listings.

Remember, if you see a sighting out there that you think is way cool, there are several things you should do!

  • If your sighting is news, or in other words, you think no one on Seibertron.com has posted a news story about anyone in your region (US, Canada, UK, Europe, Asia, wherever!) finding this toy or mechandise at retail, let us know at sightings@seibertron.com or news@seibertron.com. Be sure to let us know your username on the site, where you found it, how much it was, and include a picture if at all possible. Emailing the news staff is the only way to get magical "News Credit" points for your sightings!
  • News or not, let your other local collectors know by posting about it in your State or Region's Sightings and Meet-Ups thread.
  • Be sure to also click it through in our awesome Sightings Database, and be sure to let us know if it isn't listed there. I'm about to do that with these right now :D

Keep on impulsively refreshing our homepage (because who needs to go outdoors when all the cool toys are indoors) for the latest and sometimes weirdest Transformers news here on Seibertron.com.

Me too. They sell out all the time at my TRU. Prety much anyone who plays the games would be up for buying these, if you are asking about a viable market.

Previously, in Angry Birds Transformers news... we reported on the sighting of single pack Jenga items. Site owner Seibertron has also pointed us towards Walmart.com, which seems to have re-stocked on a number of these, and has now listed as available the Galvatron and Heatwave packs specifically. Hoo boy, has it been a while, well fellow Seibertronians, time to dust off this thread with a necro-post of the gallery kind. Remember the transforming Angry Bird figures that showed up in stores and sold out in weeks? Well, with the Angry Birds movie coming out in theaters tomorrow, now seems like the opportune time to soak in the cheesy, crazy goodness that is the Wave 1 Angry Birds Transformers Telepods. Wave 1 includes Autobirds Optimus Prime Bird, Bumblebee Bird, and Heatwave The Fire-Bot Bird as well as Deceptihogs Galvatron Pig, Soundwave Pig, and Lockdown Pig, so check them out and let us know what you think of them in the comments below.

If you're interested in checking out the Angry Birds Transformers mobile app, you can still find it available on Google Play and on Apple's App Store.
