We've had another couple of quiet months publicly for Auto Assembly, but as ever, we've been working frantically to make 2011 our biggest ever convention and we're ready to unveil our latest serious of announcements...
We've got loads of things to announce and update all of you with on Europe's largest Transformers convention including an announcement on two more guests making an appearance this year, an update on a great panel that we'll be organising and another update and surprise about Auto Assembly 2012...
Rather than tell you all here, you can see all of them announced here in our latest new video on our Youtube Channel here:-
And that's not all... we're having a bit of a video frenzy on Youtube this week! We've uploaded more footage from last year's convention and for those of you who weren't there, or if you want to see some of Saturday night's programme, you can now see our Cosplay Competition in it's entirety right here:-
We're going to be uploading some more exclusive footage shortly including Garry Chalk's concert and the latest of our superb script reading sessions featuring Garry Chalk, Scott McNeil and comic artist Nick Roche!
We're doing a lot more work on the convention at the moment as well and our Committee Head Simon is making inroads into catching up on all the paperwork following all of the personal issues he has had to deal with over the last 8 months and as well as working on some great stuff for Auto Assembly 2011 that we'll be announcing soon, we have some fantastic plans ahead for Auto Assembly 2012 and beyond and you can expect to hear more from us on these shortly...
You will have noticed that our website hasn't been updated for some time and this has been a direct result of Simon's personal circumstances, but the site has just undergone a major content update as well and you'll find all the latest news and updates on the convention there, including our new promo poster / flyer which you can download.
Finally, if you have booked for Auto Assembly 2011 and still waiting for your confirmation emails, we are processing the final batch of these and they should be issued shortly. Please check your spam box as well as your inbox as we are aware that some mail addresses (most notably hotmail and yahoo) do have some problems receiving email from us.
We are also trying to finalise the despatching of the AA2010 Non-Attendee Packages. The delay of these has been frustrating for us this time around and has been out of our control. We are looking to see if we can include extra items for everyone who has placed orders for them, but it is our intention to ship these in the next 3-4 weeks at the latest.
Anyway, for those of you who want to attend Auto Assembly 2011, tickets are available now from our website. Ticket prices are £50 for adults and £38 for children, students and senior citizens, with under 5s admitted free. One day tickets are available for the Saturday or Sunday (although these will NOT get you into the Friday or Saturday evening programmes) and these cost £30 for adults, £21 for children, students or senior citizens and under 5's as always are free. Family tickets will be available shortly.
The convention is taking place over the weekend of 12th - 14th August 2011 at the Holiday Inn Birmingham City Centre, Birmingham, England.
Tickets for Auto Assembly 2012 will go on sale later this year.
For more details on the convention, to see a full list of all the guests and activities taking place over the weekend, or to book your tickets, visit the website at http://www.autoassembly.org.uk

The Transformers community is now fully entrenched into its annual convention season and now that everyone has had time to recover from Botcon, it's time for us here at Auto Assembly to shift gears as we head into the final stretch for this year's convention...
We have already announced our first nine guests but we are now proud to announce that legendary Marvel UK, Dreamwave and IDW artist Andrew Wildman will be joining us for his seventh Auto Assembly appearance. Andrew will be around all weekend meeting fans and signing autographs and will take to the stage on Saturday alongside all of our other comic guests as part of a stunning comic panel.
Andrew has a superb pedigree in the Transformers world, having worked on the original Transformers series for Marvel UK, the Generation 2 series for Marvel US, Dreamwave, Panini, Titan, and IDW. As well as this, he has worked on countless other titles and in the video game industry as well as his own forthcoming project, Horizon which can be found at http://www.indiegogo.com/horizon
Andrew is joining our extensive guest line-up which already includes David Kaye, Gregg Berger, Simon Furman, Nick Roche, Simon Williams, Liam Shalloo, Kris Carter, Jason Cardy and Kat Nicholson. But that's not all... in the next few days we will be announcing our THIRD guest of honour and we have two more guests to announce after that, but who are they?
We're now about to enter our "rush" period for ticket sales for the convention, where most of our ticket sales take place so if you haven't already registered for Auto Assembly 2011 then NOW is the time to do it!! Tickets are available from our website and are £50 for adults and £38 for children, students and senior citizens, with under 5s admitted free. One day tickets are available for the Saturday or Sunday (although these will NOT get you into the Friday or Saturday evening programmes) and these cost £30 for adults, £21 for children, students or senior citizens and under 5's as always are free. Family tickets are also available.
The convention is taking place over the weekend of 12th - 14th August 2011 at the Holiday Inn Birmingham City Centre, Birmingham, England.

David Wise To Attend Auto Assembly 2011!
With just two months to go before Europe's largest Transformers convention, Auto Assembly, you may be lulled into thinking that all of the preparations are coming to a close and that we have made all of our major announcements. Well think again!
We are now proud to announce that we are being joined at the convention by our third guest of honour, none other than G1 script writer David Wise! David was responsible for writing more episodes of the original television series than any other writer and wrote episodes including War Dawn, The Rebirth, Kremzeek, The Girl Who Loved Powerglide and many others. In addition, he has also worked on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Star Trek and countless other shows. David will be with us for the whole weekend signing autographs and will take to the stage on Sunday afternoon to answer your questions. He will also be involved in some other events during the weekend which we will be announcing shortly.
For more information on David's appearance, and to hear a message from the man himself, check out our official announcement video on youtube here:-
David's appearance has been made possible thanks to an incredibly generous sponsorship package from UK dealer Toyz And Gamez. They have worked with us previously on our 2010 exclusive variant cover of IDW's Transformers Issue 9 (copies of which are still available through their website at http://www.toyzandgamez.co.uk) and we can't thank them enough for making David's Auto Assembly debut possible.
David joins our growing line-up of eleven guests which includes eight comic guests including Simon Furman, Nick Roche and Andrew Wildman and our other guests of honour - Gregg Berger and David Kaye who recorded this special message for us the other day about their appearance at the event:-
The convention is taking place over the weekend of 12th - 14th August 2011 at the Holiday Inn Birmingham City Centre, Birmingham, England and tickets are available from the website now. For more details on the convention, to see a full list of all the guests and activities taking place over the weekend, or to book your tickets, visit the website at http://www.autoassembly.org.uk

At Auto Assembly 2010, we were joined by Nick Roche and James Roberts who took to the stage for a special Q&A Panel dedicated to The Last Stand Of The Wreckers and their future work on Transformers. Now, to celebrate our announcement over the weekend of the return of James Roberts to Auto Assembly, we are proud to present this Panel IN FULL on our Youtube channel for all of you to enjoy...
For those of you planning on attending the convention this year, or for those of you who are still undecided, this is a great way to get a teaser of what you can expect this year from some of our guests, especially with the upcoming work from both Nick and James on some of IDW's titles and James' work leading into the Chaos storyline in August.
Anyway, you can watch the full panel on our Youtube channel here:- http://youtu.be/4yOhCSMh6R8
But that's not all...
A surprise hit at Auto Assembly 2010, we are proud to announce that we are bringing the Fan Sales Table back to Auto Assembly 2011 but better than ever. If you have any unwanted Transformers that you want to sell but are tired of spending hours listing them on ebay, then this is for you...
Once again, we'll have this sales table set up for all attendees to bring their unwanted toys, comics and other TF and non-TF items to be sold on their behalf all weekend. Just drop them off, name your selling price, and let us do the rest! All we ask for is a small 10% commission which goes towards the convention funds and that's it! There's no minimum or maximum limit to the number of items you can bring to sell and you can collect your money or unsold items at any time during the convention.
Last year we had an incredible range of items - G1, Animated, Cybertron, BinalTech, Beast Wars, and loads more and plenty of DVDs, comics, books, video games... something for everyone. We already have some items confirmed for the table with more being added daily and you can get your items pre-listed now by visiting the Auto Assembly website and downloading the list and information pack. More items are being added daily and we expect to have several hundred items in stock over the weekend.
The convention is taking place over the weekend of 12th - 14th August 2011 at the Holiday Inn Birmingham City Centre, Birmingham, England and tickets are available from the website now. Auto Assembly 2011 is just 32 days away and as the excitement grows many of you are making last minute preparations for your trip to Birmingham for the convention...
However, as always, a large number of you still haven't bought tickets for the event yet. As seems to be the trend with Auto Assembly over the last few years, 25%-30% of the tickets sold for the convention are done in the last 4-6 weeks and this year is no exception!
Many people have emailed us asking what the closing date is for bookings this year. As many of you know, we are not sending out passes this year. Instead, we are running a pass pick-up system at the convention itself for all attendees, staggered to ensure that everyone gets their passes and goodie bags quickly and effectively and can get into the convention when it opens properly as fast as possible. All you will need to do is bring a printout of your booking confirmation email with you to the convention - it's that simple!
Because of this, we can accept bookings later than ever this year. We will have our full PC suite and pass production equipment with us at the convention and while we are departing for the hotel a few days before the event, we will still have full internet access so we will able to accept and process bookings right up until the evening of Wednesday 10th August 2011!! Bookings MUST be received by no later than 10:00 pm GMT and be paid for by PayPal using your credit/debit card or PayPal balance. For bookings made this late, we can not accept payments made by echeques.
As soon as we receive your booking, you will receive a confirmation email with your ticket number and you will need to bring this along to the convention with you so you can collect your pass and goodie bag. Details of pass pick up times will be made available online shortly, as will our convention information pack.
This year, we are being joined by no less than 13 guests from the world of Transformers including three guests of honour - David Kaye, Gregg Berger and David Wise, and some of the top British comic talent out there - Simon Furman, Nick Roche, James Roberts, Andrew Wildman, Geoff Senior and many more!
We have all the usual dealers tables, guest talks, free autograph sessions, rare toy displays, a massive video games area, free workshops, a fan sales table where you can sell your unwanted toys and merchandise, and much more, with a few more surprises to be announced soon...
The convention is taking place over the weekend of 12th - 14th August 2011 at the Holiday Inn Birmingham City Centre, Birmingham, England and tickets are available from the website now. For more details on the convention, to see a full list of all the guests and activities taking place over the weekend, or to book your tickets, visit the website at www.autoassembly.org.uk

Auto Assembly 2011 is doing something brand new this year and giving fans the chance to be the stars of online videos seen all over the world just by talking about your interest in Transformers and science fiction / fantasy...
The filmmakers behind new British comedy film "Pulp" are offering you the chance to get involved in this great new series of online videos at Auto Assembly 2011 all weekend. "Pulp" is the story of struggling comic book writer Tony Leary, who becomes embroiled in a dastardly plot by nefarious geordie criminals and an alien bear. Aided by his geek dream team; Rick and Keith, Tony must embark upon a journey which takes him to the very edge of reality... And Birmingham.
As part of the publicity drive for the film; the filmmakers are holding a series of interviews with Sci-Fi and film fans. Like Descartes, Plato, Hume, Mulder from ‘The X Files’ and Dr Mark Sloan from "Diagnosis Murder" – Pulp is constantly searching for answers to the most fundamental mysteries of the Universe. Questions such as "Who would win in a fight, Batman or Superman?", "Who is the better captain, Kirk or Picard" and "Is Inception any good?".
Pulp cannot hope to get to the heart of these pressing issues alone, so we have recruit the finest minds on Earth to share their views with us... Some people take it more seriously than others...

The interviews will be broadcast online across over 20,000 websites through AOL's channel. So if you fancy some pulping, come along!

With just FOUR WEEKS until Auto Assembly 2011 things are stepping up a gear again! We said we still had some big announcements to make and some surprises up our sleeves for all of you regarding the convention, and here's the first...
We are pleased to announce that Titan Books, publishers of the UK Transformers comic, has come on board as an official sponsor of this year's convention. Titan have very generously supplied us with an astonishing 650 copies of their UK comic for us to give away to attendees this year as part of the goodie bag! That's not all though... in conjunction with their sister company, Forbidden Planet, Titan have also been a great help by giving us the bags themselves for all the bundles of gifts that you will all receive.
But that's not all! They have also donated TEN copies of the Dark Of The Moon movie adaptation novel written by Peter David. To be in with a chance of winning one of these, all you need to do is pre-register for the convention! Ten lucky winners will be chosen at random and when you collect your passes and convention packs on the day, ten of you will find a winning ticket hidden in your packs. Just take these along to our Control Desk and exchange them for your prize so remember to check your packs carefully! Please note that ALL prizes mush be claimed by the end of the Sunday afternoon!
We can't thank Titan enough for their support and generosity with this fantastic package which is worth almost £1,700! If you want a goodie bag with one of these comics in, you need to be amongst the first 650 people to attend the convention, and you MUST pre-register if you want to be in with a chance of winning the novel... and there will be MORE pre-registrant draws announced soon!!
Auto Assembly 2011 is taking place over the weekend of 12th - 14th August 2011 at the Holiday Inn Birmingham City Centre, Birmingham, England and tickets are available from the website now. We're in the last couple of weeks before Auto Assembly 2011 and currently putting this year's edition of The Cybertronian Times to bed. It's shaping up to be another cracking edition, in a similar vein to last year's sell-out edition and we can't wait to let you see it on the day, although we aren't going to be stopping with that and sitting back and relaxing, oh no! There are times when a year's gap between Auto Assembly and new editions of The Cybertronian Times is a bit too long. With that in mind we are putting together a new ongoing fanzine to help tide you over in those months where AA seems just too far away, so later this year we will be launching CT Alpha, an ongoing companion to The Cybertronian Times...
So why tell us now you ask? The answer is fairly straightforward... Instead of just churning something out, we'd like to offer you the chance to help shape the look and feel of the magazine. So at 11:30 am on Sunday 14th August 2011 we will be holding an open forum for you to come along and do just that at Auto Assembly 2011! We'll be discussing the fanzine, and getting your feedback and some of your ideas and if anyone is interested in contributing then they can let us know. Now we know there is lots already taking place at the convention, and and we have a fairly packed event so if you can't make it and still want to pass on your ideas to us, we'll have contact information available on the day for you.
Now there will be all sorts of questions going through your heads right now, mostly about how often it will come out, how many pages and how much is this going to cost me? We are going to have to be coy about some of these details for the time being and more will be revealed at the discussion itself. However, what we can tell you just now, aside from a promise that each issue will have more than 16 pages in it is that the first issue of CT Alpha will be released on 19th September 2011 and will be absolutely free. That's right - FREE!
We are looking forward to seeing you there at the discussion forum at Auto Assembly 2011, and sharing some great ideas with you.

f you haven't already pre-registered, it's time to hurry up! Pre-registration for Auto Assembly 2011 closes in just THREE WEEKS at 10:00 pm GMT on Wednesday 10th August 2011!
The convention is fast approaching and if you want to get a personalised name badge and have some of the better, more limited free gifts in your goodie bag, as well as earlier admission to the convention, then you need to book your tickets online as soon as possible. We will have tickets available on the day for one day and full weekend passes, but as you will need to complete registration forms when you arrive, these will take longer for you to get into the convention.
Passes won't be sent out in advance of the convention this year. Instead we will be making them available for all of you to pick up at the convention in a series of designated pick up times starting from noon on Friday and continuing on Saturday and Sunday allowing for those of you who can only make in on those days and for single day attendees so even if you can't book until a few days before, you will still have a pass waiting for you to collect along with your bag of free gifts!

Only 19 days to go before Europe's biggest Transformers convention takes place once again, but we're still hitting hard and fast with even more great news and announcements about Auto Assembly 2011. We're now pleased to announce that our guest line-up has grown to mammoth proportions...
We are now being joined by comic colourist John Paul Bove who will be making his Auto Assembly debut this year and making a staggering 15 guests! John Paul has worked for IDW and Marvel and has worked on the New York Comic Con variant cover of Transformers Issue 12 alongside Casey Coller, copies of which will be on sale at Auto Assembly 2011 on the 3 Darth's Comic table, who have generously sponsored his appearance at the convention.
John Paul will be on the 3 Darths table to sign autographs and colour sketches for fans throughout the weekend, and will join our other comic guests on stage for the Q&A session on Saturday.

Every year Auto Assembly has a charity auction and raffle to raise money for a number of good causes and Auto Assembly 2011 is no exception. This time, it is raising money for three different charities and hopes to beat last year's record-breaking £2,200 and we are convinced that our great charity auction will help us to do just that...
We will be holding two charity auctions over the course of the weekend, each one hosted by our guest auctioneers - David Kaye and Gregg Berger - and feature some fantastic items. These include signed photos of Peter Cullen, Frank Welker, Shia La Boeuf, Rosie Huntington Whitely, Corey Burton and original Comic artwork from artists such as Casey Coller and IDW artist-of-the-moment, Andrew Griffith!
You can download a full list from the convention website right now!
We have also just uploaded our latest video to youtube which has an update on some of this year's competitions, our workshops, and a recap on some of the guests attending the convention this year as well as two rather special prize draws for those of you who have pre-booked for the convention...
You can find this latest video on our youtube channel here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jV2_TMEtKaM
Don't forget that bookings for the convention close in just 14 days and after then you'll have to come along and pay on the door!

Auto Assembly 2011 hasn't even happened yet but with a move to a new, bigger venue next year there is already an excitement about our NEXT convention for 2012.
