Barricade Returns in Transformers 5: The Last Knight

There's a nagging part of me that worries he'll go the same way of Sideways and Demolishor - hi and bye in the first 10 minutes.

Woo hoo! One of my favorite characters from the Movie Universe returns! Just need Blackout or Grindor to miraculously come back, Brawl and Bonecrusher!

Wasn't it assumed that Barricade was killed at the end of TF3 along with Soundwave?

My memory serves me correct, and tfwiki also confirms what I remembered

Barricade had managed to escape the carnage and meet up with Shockwave, ripping the protoforms a new one (figuratively, but knowing Barricade it was about to get literal), apparently blaming them for the death of Soundwave and the Autobots' escape. Barricade finally met his end during the NEST attack on Shockwave's group. While yelling at a protoform he was blinded by sniper shots to his eyes. He stumbled around in pain for a moment before being crippled by a Boomstick placed on his leg. Barricade collapsed to the ground, dropping his gun as he did. He then tried to crawl to safety before finally being killed by several shots to his head by gunfire from the human troops. Dark of the Moon

Sweet! Also my fav "movie" bot. I think they even made this car look like the TFCC SS 2.0 Barricade alt mode after sitting here looking at the figure. Also one of my fav figures.

rricade next there will be news new military truck with Red Cross and crossed deceptions symbols will be named hound on front page news section it shouldn't be that hard figure out who that truck is but is voicing him in movie

So shall we start coming up with theories as to how barricade is back in action? The one I'm currently thinking thinking is that it involves him being a test subject at ksi when they started work with the drones and at the start of the film he's laying dormant allowing the humans to have control till galvatron/megs appears and barricade is back to being evil.


Also a thought on galvatron being megs again, this isn't the first time in fiction that it's happened, as the Japanese first did in the story line where Star Convoy appeared and Dark Nova resurrected galvatron as super megatron. A long shot could be that it's being referenced some how by the writing room.

I promised myself I wouldnt get excited for TF films after AOE sucked so hard. But fuck it, I'm excited.

My theory is that he'll show up with little or no explanation, do a few things and then get brutalized by the Autobots.

Most notably, the military vehicles with the Stargate-esque triangle/arrow/A symbol, the VW rusty van, and some South Dakota State Trooper SUVs - along with more Camaro Bumblebee, of course - though not all are necessarily Cybertronian in origin. As soon as I saw that military truck in the middle picture, the word 'onslaught' immediately went through my mind.

I love that updated Barricade car mode.

That is a different camaro than the one they have been using as Bee. The front end is totally different. 2 different camaro modes for Bee again?

What if this is a shattered glass universe? Primes face with purple eyes and if you look at bumblebees headlights they seem to be glowing red

Just saying, based on this, I think the movie versions of Bonecrusher and Ironhide were better for the characters. It made Ironhide look like the badass in vehicle mode he should be and it made Bonecrusher actually look like a bonecrusher

That, and this franchise can't even keep track of its characters. They appear and disappear randomly and without explanation, so I doubt we'll even get an explanation for how a character who died on-screen is still running around.

Yeah, considering that a LOT of people like Bumblebee and he sells a lot of toys (not complaining at all), I really doubt they'd kill him off. If they did, I wouldn't be able to forgive whoever wrote the script.

He'll be a Lieutenant Colonel in TLK. I'm guessing Will used "Captain" since he was one in the first movie and that's the rank most people probably remember him best as.

Probably they are going to set it up with Barricade being the lead villain (running some sort of human/Cybertronian arms ring, IDK), they kinda implied they were nemeses in the first movie.

I only mean it was implied in the cheap movie way, with certain characters always being paired up as enemies (Vs. two-packs, promotional material showing them fighting, etc.).

They'd kinda work as rivals. Both cars, both debuted in the first movie, they're both characters made prominent and recognisable by the movies; and regardless of reasons why it happened their fight was one of the first and most prominent.
There's nothing personal implied on-screen - yet, at least - but it could work.

I think the movie makers have referred to them as nemesis' before.

Some are speculating that this could possibly be a Junkion(Wreck-Gar maybe ) but it probably just is a generic vehicle in the movie

But it'll probably turn out to be just another generic military helicopter

You know I find it a pity that we pick up on all this stuff, the killmarks, the star seeker symbol, and the Jetfire parts. But you know in the movie that all those little wonderful details are never seen or shown outside of moving shots and fan pictures.

I'm more wondering why stu is reposting content from last page instead of just posting the new stuff

As for who the con is, maybe it's a new take on an old character like Breakdown. Could be why we don't recognise him as he may not of had that same alt mold in franchise history.

Alternatively, it may be a complete new character, always nice to have fresh blood.

A fun idea, it's galvatron, before he gets reformatted into Megatron again.

That would also work well if they made prime go evil and turned him into nemesis prime, I could imagine them covering his trailer in his kill counts and he would rush into battle to kill more. Though I wonder if they had the guts to do a story where prime is turned evil.
