During the registration process, you may notice that all six Boxset figures are pictured. This confirms that Metal Hawk is made from Generations Thunderwing with a new head and Evil Ultra Magnus from RTS Optimus Prime. BotCon tweeted that we will get to see clearer pictures of Metal Hawk later tonight. Below is pictures of all figures in alt mode and robot mode.
As you can see, the rumors that were posted here continue to be accurate. Stay tuned to Seibertron.com for all your BotCon 2012 news.

I'm with you. I already bought a RTS Tracks at Ross for $7 to start turning into Road Rage. I wonder why they didn't just call the Botcon figure by that name rather than "Evil Tracks"

I'll be spending hard earned $$$ on the junkions too I suspect.

Why do you even bother buying one set if you don't like it. I'm sure there are plenty of people who would love to have one but can't.rpetras wrote:Only one I'm even remotely interested in is Tracks, so I'll just ebay the one for boku bucks later in the year.

Because they don't have the copyright on "Tracks", so they have to throw an indentifier in front of it so they can get away with it.

I guessed that the Botcon 2012 SG ultra magnus would use the powered convoy diaclone colors. obviously we all knew from the first pic this was using the RTS Deluxe optimus toy mold.
I guessed that Botcon 2012 metalhawk would be using the thunderwing toy mold. I was wrong about the inner golden robot being used. I Didn't think they'd color the thunderwing toy in the pretender shell colors for metalhawk.
I'm gonna guess that the most desired botcon 2012 figures from this set are the top 3: Metalhawk, evil tracks & SG Ultra magnus.
IMHO,I don't think that theirs gonna be much demand for Gigatron, treadshot & Soundwave.
IMHO,I think some are fed up with all these vechicle modes for soundwave. IMHO,I don't think some like the music label white colors on this toy.
IMHO,I don't think some like Botcon 2012 Gigatron. Because it's only a tank/bot & has no black stealth jet. I think animated blitzwing with a new head would have been the better choice as it has a tank & jet mode.
IMHO,botcon 2012 treadshot is such a extreme-extreme obsolete-obsolete character. plus the colors look too much like armada sideways or 1988 headmaster sired. they could have reversed the colors or done G-2 decals.

Did anybody pay $340 or did all you guys wind up paying $415 like I did ?
If I missed something to chose member price, where was it ?
I sent an e-mail to the "contact us" will they fix this ? The system wont let me go through the process again or even log out.
Thanks. I will call them. I got that conformation e-mail like 20 mins after I registered. It did say this:
PLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL AS IT IS UNMONITORED
But the site did list a "contact us" e-mail that I used. They fool you on the login page where there is a spot that says "new members join here for discounts". I logged in. I assumed that was the members account, didnt think I had to be logged in to my TFCC account too.

I would wait until after Monday. Monday morning the crew will come in and start processing orders. You will get a confirmation email (normally sent to the email address associated with your TFCC membership account) with a receipt and a confirmation printout. When that comes in, check and see. Once you receive that email, you can straight hit reply and send your Club info, and most likely get it reduced.

Hopefully getting a reserved seat at panels, getting to pick up my exclusives early and such will help make the trip a more relaxing time for me instead of it being four days of insanity while providing content and coverage for Seibertron.com.
I couldn't swing it. I understand there are only 75 of the Golden Primus packages available, you are now the second person I know who scored one. With my wife going, a Golden Primus, a Golden minicon, and the add ons would be put a little over $1000.00 before airfare, food, accommodations and let's not forget, Toy money! I had to pass. You will have some backup this year though, I know El-Duque and myself are bringing laptops. You might even get to relax a little on your vacation!

Hey Brian fixed my problem overnight. He is one cool dude, working overtime.
On the golden Primus Package:
The no limit to exclusives deal concerns me. Likley half of these 75 people are going to be online dealers, not real fans. I dont see a problem with people buying one extra figure to scalp, but I think Funpub should not encourage dealers to buy out half the stock before the rest of us get in line. If each one of these guys buys 5 extras of each exclusive, thats half the stock right there. You do the math. Botcon should offer vouchers to any regular Primus package holders who dont get at least one of each exclusive. This voucher could be redeemed online for a pre-oredered restock specifically for these people.

Unless I misread it, there is a limit to how many can be purchased.

According to the official Botcon website F.A.Q., Gold Primus packages include the option to buy triple the Primue limits. Basically, 3. 3 of each add-on, 3 extra loose sets. That's it. Even if all 75 Gold Primus packages are purchased by scalpers (no offense Ryan and Michael) and they all buy the max limit, that is only 225 of everything. Certainly Funpub has enough of each set to allow for this. In 2010, there were some sets still available Sunday, except for the Sharkitcons. However, I'm confident all Primus package holders will get atleast one of each add on if they desire. Atleast they better, or I'm bringing the wrath! Just kidding. Or am I?

When I saw this option, I liked the perks but felt the price was way too high for what you actually got. Just out of curiosity, I texted a few other board members asking if they got the Gold Package to which every response was "no", generally preceded by a non-family friendly adjective.

I would encourage Botcon to change it so that the Golden Ticket ISN'T an add on, but actually a Separate Package all together. There are Attendee Rates and Dealer Rates, make the Golden Ticket the "Press Rate".

Fender Bender wrote:I look at the Golden Ticket like a "Press Pass". It's targeted towards a small demographic of the fandom, that are either really well off or they work for/own one of the fan sites. Makes sense for those on the various website staffs to try and get up front to convey the Botcon experience to those not attending. Makes it much easier to document/record things said or done when you are close to the front. I will say though, that when the slide shows start for the Hasbro Panel, that that would really start to hurt the neck to look up sitting that close.

I think Ryan should take that idea and present it to pete at the con..It's a great idea, The Golden ticket was waaaay out of my reach but it is a good idea.
MmmMMM cheese.....or boxset?...dammit...LoL

All of these things, along with the ability to make sure you have a slight edge in getting some of the toys are nice things to have, but for 95% of us who have already been there and done that at BotCons, it's nowhere near worth the cost. For someone like Ryan though whose entire weekend is already super jampacked, I do understand the convenience factor.

Truer words have never been spoken, my friend.
With the exception of last year (just wasn't interested in the set enough to justify the price) I've managed to make it ever year since '07. While I'm still excited about this year's set, the dealer room and all that jazz, to be perfectly honest all that toy related stuff only comes up to about 10% of my interest, and thus justification for going. 5% goes to finding out what Hasbro has planned for the next year, and 85% is seeing my buddies, geeking out all day and drinking all night with people I otherwise never get to see.
Can't wait to see you guys there :3

2011 actually had a pretty low turnout Seibertron.com-wise. However, having spoken to a lot of people thus far it seems like almost everyone I've met through BotCon since 07 (my first year, also) is going this year. Fun times ahead, to be sure!

But then we found out the location being down in Texas. I could have dealt with that, being a Dallas Cowboys fan, I would have killed 2 birds with one stone.
Then I found out the date and was crushed.
IF, and this is a BIG IF, given what happened this year. IF Botcon avoids the west and southeast coasts AND doesn't coincide with Dairycon or Slagacon, I WILL BE THERE.
