Gah! You beat me to it!
Either way, sounds awesome, I'd love to see some lesser known characters, such as:

Transformers Prime Beast Hunters toys, based in the Beast Wars: Uprising TFCC universe.

Also, I'd like to see a set consisting of a team of characters, much like the Stunticons from 2011, regardless of which molds they use. Considering the theme, this would be a great representation of the Combaticons.

Between their description and you mentioning Han and Chewie, I now have the Star Wars novel "Scoundrels" stuck in my mind. That having been said, the bar is now raised pretty darn high. They are going to be hard pressed to impress me with whatever selection they have in store for us but I have to say that I'm still liking the general theme. I'm just not too keen on everyone getting all excited over using this, that & the other Prime figures for their selection. I think there are still plenty of Classics/Generations/Movie figures that could be repurposed and even some Cybertron series figures that could see another go. I'm not at all a fan of the Prime or TFA figure lines so even if I'm liking the basic idea, I'll totally pass on getting the sets if they are mostly TFA/TFP figures.

Aah! I didn't see that text at the bottom! That confirms it! TransTech world story! Absolutely ANYTHING GOES for this set (within the limits of what molds the Club can use, that is).JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Figures the setting would be Nexus 208.0 epsilon... Which basically means the gloves are officially off: Axiom Nexus is the New York City of the multiverse, a real melting pot.
I can see it now. A set containing a G1 crook, a Beast Era crook, a Unicron Trilogy crook, a Movieverse crook (from a mold the Club can use), and an Animated crook.
I'd say so, but probably also after the "Invasion: Epilogue" or even after "Timeless".JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Are we to assume this picks up after Invasion from 2012?

Not yet, we'd have to wait a year. And Packrat out of Rattrap... Too obvious

... Damnit Sabrblade. Now you have me wanting them to do the ultimate boxset. a 5 character team all made of the same character from different universes.

Brawl- the muscle
Swindle- the thief
Blastoff- the bounty hunter
Vortex- the loose cannon
but pretty sure they are not doing it that way

I know you weren't, it's just really really amazingly dumb, you're probably right, the club's trying to make Guardians of the Galaxy with transformers; and that doesn't sit right. It's not like I think the movie's bad mind you, just over-saturated; and just the idea of the club doing that is almost face palm inducing in how creatively bankrupt it is. That of course provided that it is in fact what the club is doing with botcon 2015's story. Though it probably is.

Yeah, that would just be a waste since we just got Combaticon toys not long ago, a Combaticon TCC story in 2010-2011, and with Axiom Nexus, character possibilities are near-limitless.Ultra Markus wrote:they almost sound like they could be combaticons: Onlsaught- the boss

It doesn't necessarily have to be a character who was previously a bounty hunter.Railbomb wrote:Bounty hunter... there's only 2 I can think of off the top of my head and that's Lockdown and Death's Head. I don't think they can do Death's Head but he would definitely be interesting.
The movie lines do have some good characters (although terribly mistreated) as well as good toys that can be redecoed.

I really want Gamora to be the new or animated Arcee in Paradron Medic colors as the theif. I love the ideas of Grimlock as groot for the Muscle and Packrat as Rocket for the bounty hunter. I feel like Star Lord kinda has to be Hot Rod as the boss. That leaves Drax, the loose canon, and I'm thinking Prime Bulkhead would be a nice fit.
I suppose we'll need a Ronan and Thanos, too. I'll say Straxus/Darkmount for Ronan and Thanos could be either Prime or Fall of Cybertron Megatron.

True. I just know that Packrat's inclusion would only increase the GotG comparisons, since he'd be the set's Rocket.Emerje wrote:Sabrblade wrote:I think we might be taking the GotG references/comparisons/jokes a bit too far.

I'd love Repugnus to be the loose cannon. I loved his MTMTE profile. I'd like either the Energon Landmine mold or movie Dirt Boss.

When was Doubledealer a bounty hunter? Most other times he's a mercenary.Windsweeper wrote:Axer and Banzai-tron were both bounty hunters as was Doubledealer. I'd love Energon Dive bomb as Banzai-tron.
