The
BotCon website has been updated to reveal that Scott McNeil will be coming to BotCon 2010! He is perhaps best known to Transformers fans as Dinobot, Rattrap, Waspinator, and Silverbolt in Beast Wars. His other work includes lending his voice to Duo Maxwell in Gundam Wing, Koga, in Inuyasha, Piccolo and many other characters in Dragon Ball Z, Wolverine in X-Men: Evolution, and Hohenheim in Full Metal Alchemist.

When I heard this news earlier today via a phone call, I almost crashed into the truck in front of me! Best news I have heard all day!
Pardon me, I will now go have a fangirl-squee moment!

And Jesus. How could you forget Jesus?

I knew McNeil has done a lot of voice work, but I was kinda surprised to read his work history and see several other shows I am familiar with. A friend of mine is obsessed with GundamWing and Inuyasha, so I've seen both of those, and I do enjoy GundamWing, but Inuyasha bores me after a while. And seeing that he voiced Hoenheim from Full Metal Alchemist is just really cool. I love that show.

From TF Wiki:
In the 2003 animated version of Ben Hur, he was the voice of Jesus. When Scott gets arrested, Robert Foxworth denies him three times.
I really wish I could go to Botcon now. I watch Care Bears: Adventures in Care A Lot just for his Grumpy Bear. Love it.

Scott's a good guy, just easily distracted during panels and signings.
Not that that's a bad thing.

Scott's awesome. Ran into him a few times over the last couple years at Anime Evolution in Vancouver (Garry Chalk told me Scott shows up every year whether he's a guest or not). Last time I saw him some girls had dressed him up like a pirate and he was on his way to get a sword. Very cool guy.

Some conventions have back-up plans for emergencies. AE has back-up plans for when Scott and/or other local voice actors just show up.
That said both Scott and Gary will be in England at Auto Assembly during this year convention week-end instead. Their gain is our loss, unless that pesky Icelandic volcano stirs things up again.
