I've heard of a bat outta hell, but this is just ridiculous

Also, who is that green repaint of Groove?

Redeco of the RID Warrior class Windblade mold.RiddlerJ wrote:Was Windblade remolded or just redecoed?
Rust Dust, Victorion's Legends class component.RiddlerJ wrote:Also, who is that green repaint of Groove?

That is a repaint of the RiD Windblade. and the green Groove is Rust Dust, the chest piece to Victorion

ZeroWolf wrote:Okay, now I'm curious. Is that supposed to be sentinels own fraction symbol on the sdcc exclusive or is there more we haven't been told.

That's the symbol for the Autobot Security Services operating under Sentinel Prime. It's origin? Why, the IDW comics of course, Megatron Origins to be exact. It is missing the central chevron however:

The Orange car is wheelie and wind blade is just a deluxe, she's redeco'ed from her new RiD mold

I'd be tempted to get that set just because of Sentinel's faction symbol but since he seems translucent I think I won't. Reprolabels'll always come around anyway :p
It's funny he has his own faction symbol now. I was just thinking the other week about how Sentinel Prime, at least this one, is being marketed as a heroic autobot leader to kids and they'll be getting him thinking "woah, an Optimus Prime that's orange and turns into a spaceship!" sort of deal. When we know the horrible, horrible things he's done. Oh IDW~

At the Hasbro panel, they said the deco for Windblade in the SDCC set is meant to be Fort Max colors.

Here's the same figure from Toy Fair:
Thanks for the eagle eye, Emerje! Good lookin' out.
A great touch - shame it can't save hasbro's 'deco'
That's a key point. Through minor use of paint apps, Takara manages to make their figures not look like cheap crap. The exact opposite of Hasbro's apparent strategy.

Well, that's... interesting. I wonder why on earth they're doing that

She was initially linked with Metroplex, right? In this take on the character she could be linked with Fort Max instead and thus would have different colours showing her new "colours".

True, but as of right now IDW Fort Max isn't a Titan, just a bigger than average guy.

Since all the Platinum sets are supposed to be recreating prominent scenes - or in the case of Autobot Heroes, bundling together characters that were in a team together - I am starting to think this is a hint at an upcoming IDW Titans Return crossover. And so far this has all the makings of 'what the fuck', what with Sentinel back, Windblade linking up with Fort Max and then joining with Brainstorm from the Lost Light. I don't know how to feel about it. Just as long as Hasbro doesn't mess IDW's story up as bad as Combiner Wars...

Except that this isn't a Platinum set, it's the SDCC exclusive set.Kurona wrote:william-james88 wrote:Kurona wrote:DigitalBrave3 wrote:Kurona wrote:Didn't take long for them to use the new Windblade mold lol.
