Commemorative Perceptor and Insecticons in stock at Toysrus.com

Oh how i would love both of these but a little pricey(for me) But i am confused with the 34.99 "Deluxe Cement Mixer" transformer Toysrus.com is selling. There is so many things wrong with it: Mixmaster is not a Deluxe, The description doesn't have his name in it unlike all the others, and the price is the price for a double pack. So does this mean its the "Back Road Brawl" double pack? Has anyone else noticed this?

Too cool, for me these are some of the best G1 toys I remember from way back then. Can't wait until I see them!

I believe you are correct on it being the 2-Pack.

Lastest update Insecticons sold out and 15 Perceptors left as of 11am CDT. This is why i got my insecticons or should i say "insections" lst night

The way that all of the previous TRU exclusives all the way back to the 2007 movie ones are pretty much shelf warmers here, I hope the same thing will happen to these.

I'm still trying to decide if I want to trade in some old 360 games to get Darkwind and Wingblade.

Just tried to order the insecticons again and it went though confirmation and everything. maybe there are more.

I agree, I don't understand the price point for Perceptor. He's comparable to a voyager, right? But then again, they did charge $70 for G1 Prime...

I got that same answer on Saturday at three different TRU's in the area. I probably could have gotten a more intelligent answer from the TF's on my desk than from those clowns.

GAH!!!! Why oh why couldn't i have bothered to log on here yesterday??? I've been stopping @ my local TRU for the past month or so now,....and no sight of them yet,....now they are available on the website,...but out of stock???!!!???

ARGH I know the feeling I have cut down my Transformer Expenditures but would have picked both of these up.

These are a pass for me. Already have the original G1 and the TFC versions, don't see any reason to get these.

They're starting to show up in stores now too. My local TRU had two of each. I'm not really sure that I want Perceptor any more. I remember him being larger but that could just be my mind playing tricks on me. Also, they come in some damn fine packageing.

They used to be on the first page of Transformers, but they have removed them now.

Is it true that Perceptor's microscope doesn't work? I don't care about the missing spring/missile gimmick...but for what reason would they eliminate the microscope function? That makes me want to hunt down an original rather than get this so-called commemorative release.

I can live without the firing missile, but with two features eliminated, it may as well be a knock-off.

It never worked, well in a sense: the magnification was 1x on the original toy. Not much of a scope now, is it?

I'm asking if the commemorative edition Perceptor has the same microscope feature as the original toy (however minimal it may have been), or if that feature has been dropped, just as the spring-loaded weapons were?

I picked it up yesterday,..and yes it does still have the same scope as 1985. The spring is gone from the handgun though, oh well.

The listing seems to have disappeared. That's disappointing. I was holding out on placing my order.

I never even saw the add for them at Toys R us.

Kinda like the SDCC Soundwave that was gonna be stocked at Hasbro Toy Store and then it went away.

U can rule out Tinley Park/Orland Park, Matteson and Merrillville Toys' R Us'.

First two were sold out and I picked up a pair of each at Merrillville, IN store.

Got to find batteries for the digi camera and I will take pics of product and receipt.

Now, do the extra's go on ebay or am I nice and sell them at cost + a little gas and shipping here?

I'm confused, never gotten anything like first day or two it was out before

You put them on eBay after all you had to work to get these and time and gas are money. I put one on ebay and kept one.

I finally got mine this past Sunday. It only took a month of looking for them. It seems central Pa is about month behind the rest of the country. The staff at TRU was great. There was one Perceptor buried (hidden) behind some Animated stuff. No Insecticons.

I asked one of the employees if they had them yet and the lady looked on the computer. When she couldn't find them there she enlisted the help of 3 other employees to look on the sales floor, then in carts of stuff to be put on shelves, and in the back. About 15 minutes later one of the employees came out with 4 packages of Insecticons. Sometimes you pay a little more money at TRU, but the customer service is great.

Both sets are worth the $35. The packaging looks great, apparently these guys are tough to find, and it is awesome to get figures like these that have not been beaten to death after years of abuse.

I just realized the insections are #16 and perceptor is #19. Who is #17 and #18?

I found both sets today at my local TRU. I only bought the Insecticons, though. I might go back for Perceptor; they had a bunch of them.

I just opened up my Commemorative Soundwave from TRU, and the sticker sheet (which I never even removed from the box until now) has a big 17 on it, so I assume that set was #17.

last week i found one perceptor and 1 insecticon set at my local TRU. Picked up the insecticons. Question -I'll have to show the picture later, but on each side of the package (narrow side) I have small white dot stickers. What do they mean? Anyone else have them on their package? On perceptor's too??

So it's been a week of bad luck. I called all the stores in my district last Wed. They all said they didn't have them and there were none in the warehouse. That day I went to a store because another store out of state told me they could do a transfer only to find that they only transfer within the same district. Low and behold the asst mgr told me there were 1500 in the warehouse set to be delivered, this right after all the stores had told me none were in the warehouse. I called back the next day when the truck arrived and someone in recieving said they would be here in 7 to 10 days. Just by chance I called again today (3 days later Sunday) and they said they had them. After sitting on the phone for 10 mins waiting for someone to look on the shelf I decided to just drive there myself. They had perceptor but no insecticons which is what I wanted. Called ever other in the district and got the same answer "Oh Yes we have 4, 6, 8" in stock, but when I asked them to check the shelf low and behold none can be found. WHAT THE HELL?! How can your system say they are there and they aren't. I have a feeling they are either hidden in the store or staff members are taking them to sell on ebay. GOD I HATE EBAY.

It was probably already scanned in, but haven't been shelved yet and are probably still in the box in the back. If the TRUs aren't far far away, I would go drive there if you really want it.

I'll keep checking my TRU, but I really hope the website gets these back in stock. I have the Takara reissues, but I really want a set of these for my daughter, who is a fan of both insects and Transformers (she's 6).

Yes found them last weekend at my local TRU.

They're not original Hasbro molds. I guess the original toys had little driver dudes that went in there...

I picked up mine tonight. They wer e in the virtual bay for 3 days but i kept calling about it and they were there. There are one of each left as of 7 30 tonight at toys r us in pineville , nc. It is on carolina place blvd.it is not listed in the siting stores and the store on independence closed years ago so that might want to be updated. I tried to fill out the form but i missed something and the whole thing reset on me and i didn't feel like putting the info in again
