If anyone wondered how similar Hasbro's recent Titans Return Shuffler was to the original, there are now some comparison images. The G1 figure was an elephant that turned into a head while the Titans Return version is an elephant that turns into a vehicle and weapon and is paired with a smaller robot who turns into a head. You can see how similar the designs for their headmaster component are and how they look paired to the same headmasters of their respective eras.

Talking about the thrill of the hunt... I was able to get Slugslinger on Amazon yesterday. I had to redeem gift cards first. By the time I did, the $19.99 ones were gone. I kept checking through the afternoon and finally saw it come out for $19.99 again. Was able to get it finally get it. And at $13.19 after gift cards. It was actually pretty thrilling to snag it.

Let's hope that Arcee will be at my local TrU in high enough quantities. Because I'm sure that, like the Masterpieces, she'll be a cocktease on the site, showing herself but impossible to order. #-o

Bargain hunting online can be tough with all the competition/options, but with coupons and luck, it can be just as fun as hunting TFs down at a local discount store or secondhand shop.

With TR wave5+, I just want them at MSRP at any B&M ;)

So Arcee is coming to TRU? Cool, that might make her a little cheaper when the only place I can find her is eBay. I won't be near a TRU until November for an anime convention, I doubt there'll be any left then.

Or rather, impatient folk who have to have a certain figure first(!) for whatever reason I can't fathom. That sentiment is especially common with YouTube Reviewers >:oP

Early Access... meh.

I can get that feeling myself sometimes, honestly, so I can see where it comes from. There's an indefinable novelty to being one of the first people to experience something new (even if that something is as small as a toy). Plus if you're in early then you have new things to say, that people will listen to 'cause you're one of the few people saying them. It's always fun to have people listen to you :D

But then the other side of the coin is that the earlier you get a toy, the less information people have about it, and so you end up with things like Trypticon's hips... :(

It is great to see how quickly some of the Arcee sets shipped from HasbroToyShop.

Is anyone else stuck in the complete opposite? I had to be one of the first few to order and I still haven't even received a ship notification. :HEADHURTS:

If I recall, the same thing happened with skater prime, but not with this much of a delay. I emailed their customer service, so hopfully I'll hear back today.

On a completely separate note, I was able to get Slugslinger from Amazon Saturday when he was briefly available from Amazon as the retailer at $19.99. I have prime which should have put him as arriving today, but my order status says he'll be coming Thursday.

I'm guessing this means they sold some stock before it actually arrived. If you are hoping to get one from Amazon, tomorrow might be a good day to keep checking assuming their stock would get in tomorrow for the 2 day shipping to arrive on Thursday for me.

I also was early to order Arcee, haven't gotten any notice yet and just emailed their customer service.
I also got Slugslinger off of Amazon when he was 19.99(had $8 in gift cards, so after tax he was 13.19) and he should be here Wednesday.

Me too! (Same story!) I have yet to receive ship notice from HTS, though I ordered within minutes of her going live on the site. I also ordered Slugslinger from Amazon. My recollection was it was basically a pre-order with an availability of 9/25 or 9/26 to arrive to me by 9/27.

(I hope I don't have to wait until October to get my Arcee...)

[Edit] Also, quick comment on being the "first" to get a figure. For me, that wasn't the motivation. It is the uncertainty. Will Arcee come out only at an online retailer I do not frequent? Will it be Wallgreens where I shop only sparingly even though there are five hundred within a mile of me? Or will it be at a big box retailer who may or may not actually stock here near me? (Walmart or Toys R Us come to mind. I had a devil of a time getting the Seige on Cybertron set...) So, with the certainty I can get her from HTS, my life is a bit less stressful.

Agreed, it has happened that the first time I saw a figure was also the last time I ever saw it, like with the wave 4 deluxes.

I'm gonna wait out Slugslinger for a little bit. We still have 3 full months left in the year, and wave 5 did make its way to my stores, which seem to be selling TR pretty well, as I've actually seen all the leaders (about 2 weeks after I got them online mind you but still). I'm worried about Ramhorn since my stores stopped carrying the Titan masters and the nearest stores that still do are over an hour away. I think I'll see Overlord eventually, but he may be an online purchase too. Also gonna wait till closer to the holidays to get Trypticon. I don't have the money for him right now, nor the room till I get a job and can move.

To clarify for everyone, that's Legends Arcee, which uses the running change with the hands and thus can't fully hold her own guns. With that, huh, how about that.

Looks like the Arcee/Ultra Magnus set won't be too rare.

We still haven't seen a proper release for the Walgreen's exclusive Cloudraker and Wingspan in the US but supposedly that's still coming.

The only question mark is Titan Master Scorponok, correct? Assuming Fengul is Laser Prime's Titan Master and Refractor is Orian Pax's Titan Master.

I'm really surprised the clone set was available online yet no stores have gotten it yet. I really need that pair so I can have my complete set of clones!

I now undrstand why lot of visuals were showing the box split open. That's a very interesting box, I may keep it.

The box has a display window right? Mine is taped down so can't even open it. I'm still undecided if I want to keep this.

The box is elaborate but not really useful for storing her in. I don't know what to do with it.

Agamemnon wrote:[Edit] Also, quick comment on being the "first" to get a figure.

This was motivation as well. I always understood that the Arcee set would see "wider" distribution after Hascon but we had no information on what retailer(s) would get it and when it would be available.

I need that set as well. I don't really shop at Walgreens on a regular basis, so I hope someone will post pics online when they finally hit shelves so that I know when to start looking for it.

Technically those online retailers are getting them from overseas though, right? I'm assuming they're just importing them in from someone other than Hasbro directly.

Yes, hence the higher price tag offsetting their extra cost. The only retailer in the US getting these directly from Hasbro is Wallgreens. But the point still stands, we know these have been made and are ready for distribution. Just like Walmart's deluxe Hot Rod. So where are they?

I think the TLK Blu-ray will come out before Hot Rod.

TRU in Oregon finally came up with a TR Trypticon!

Or one that I got to hold in my hands, if only for a moment....as much as I want him, I left him for another fan who might have $150 to freely spend.

I'll continue the hunt for Misfire, Twintwist and Nitro....

No, I'm pretty sure Refractor is also a wild card and Orion Pax doesn't have a named titan master. Pax was not Titans Return release, rather a tribute toyline one. Every other TM has been released under the Titan's Return name including Skater Prime and Arcee.

This. I'm pretty sure Tribute Orion Pax doesn't technically have a Titan Master partner in terms of fiction (despite having actually one of the better-painted Hasbro TMs) - this isn't based on anything more than just a feeling that he's not meant to be part of TR at all, and the fact that Refractor's name doesn't seem to match up with Orion in any meaningful way.

My money's still on another Deluxe/extra TM two-pack like Arcee and Magnus, with either Reflector or Magnificus being the Deluxe. (I'm personally still leaning towards Reflector out of the two, in line with the actually fairly significant retooling on Arcee. Though maybe instead of matching in budget they're meant to balance, and Magnificus is a way of getting a new Deluxe out with literally nothing but a new face. Could go either way honestly.)

Skater Prime was not released under Titans Return. That name is nowhere to be found on any of its material as far as I know.

Correct. I checked the box and the instructions and the only logos to be found are ones for "Transformers: Primitive Skateboarding" and the general "Generations" line logo.

However, if the Titans Return logo is to be found on the Trypticon cereal box art from SDCC (I have not checked to see if it is or not), then that would give Shreddicus Maximus an in for the TR line since his name was included in that art.

Were Parsec (for Nautica), Professor Go (for Metalhawk), Fengul (for Laser Optimus Prime), Dynamus (for Quickswitch), Fathom (for Tidal Wave), and Ginrai (for Magnus Prime) ever officially confirmed?

Not officially to my memory, but I'd say they're all pretty safe bets. At the very least we got confirmation from John Warden that "Magnus Prime is Ginrai in all but name" (and is therefore Armada Optimus #-o , but that's beside the point) so I think that's about as close to confirmation as we can expect.

I guess for me, my rationale is:

Assuming the cereal box has all planned Titans Masters for the Titans Return line: I don't think there's a new Deluxe or higher figure that would go with a solo Scorponok like Arcee with Leinad and a solo Ultra Magnus. Because Scorponok has an "Ultimate" tag like Ultra Magnus, Rodimus Prime, and Thundering, I'm assuming Scorponok was and is meant to be solo.

We can reasonably assume that we have names for the currently unnamed Titan Masters from the box sets. Having Refractor show up on the list as an Autobot makes him fit with Orion Pax as his unnamed Titan Master just for completeness, IMO.

Correct me if im wrong but there were a few errors in faction listings on the cereal box I think- so refractor as an autobot might not be a deal-breaker
Also, does anyone know the reasoning for Fengul as laser prime's TM? The best I can come up with is an anagram of Engulf, and laser prime (I think) being the one showing optimus and a fire on the side of the truck or something... :?

Not sure what the name connection really is, if any (does Laser Prime have anything to do with iron? 'Fengul' makes the think Fe->iron a little bit). The thing that really gives it away is his ability, "Optic Scorch". Now if that's not a little in-joke about G2 colorschemes - which Laser Prime doesn't really possess himself, but he is from that era - I don't know what else to call it.
