I wonder why in the trailer Rampage is in red colour (fighting with bumble bee), yet toy and concept art is in yellow....

It's because they are 2 different characters.

Rampage appears to have retained some of this designs elements while Sideways looks to have had a complete overhaul.

Concept art actually makes Rampage look rather excellent. Nothing yet, frankly, has made Sideways look good. He looks too much, IMO, like Barricade who, as an evil police officer, is just cooler. Also, am I the only one foreseeing problems with Sideswipe and Sideways getting mixed up when parents are shopping for their kids?

What the hell is with the snake bots in this movie? Thanks for ruining Barricade Bay. He use to be one of the only decent looking TFs in these movies now he looks like a pile of scrap. Only thing he has going for him now is he's shiny and spiky.

Don't you think parants can read what the package says? Sideswipe or Sideways?
Kids know what they want so they will spell it out right.

You clearly haven't seen any parents shopping for kids recemtly.
They're both silver cars with "Side-" as the start of their name.
Most parents have trouble remembering anything beyond "He wanted the Yellow one, right? I think that's Bumblebee..." and then they grab Universe Sunstreaker.
You give too much credit to both Kids and Parents in the equation.

Dang, that's one huge jackhammer, must have some really big potholes on Cybertron! Are we sure Sideways isn't Barricade just re-formatted? Cool concept art.

is it just me or is anyone else a little bothered or confused as to why we're getting news of several bots, in particular the constructacons, all seemingly having doubles of themselves running around in the movie. I feared this apparently was the case and was confirmed via the mini-review someone did about the japan premiere. Why the writers and bay would do this is beyond me, makes no sense, seems like some kind of cheep cop-out or money shaving scheme to just repaint characters as apposed to introducing seperate ones. But the problem this creates is it gives the c-cons apparent insignificant matter in the story and little if no individuality as seperate characters on their own. Now they'll simply become 'clones' as apposed to 'longhaul' rampage' mixmaster' etc. To me it's no different than if they had multiples of ironhide, ratchet and bumblebee just with different paint jobs all in the movie, sorta lame if you ask me, major bummer. Heres an idea, if they needed fill ins for the last battle scene how about have starscreams band of huligans come down to battle it out, hell theyre hinted at and talked about along the lines of the story anyways. And gosh, as much as they hyped the intro of soundwave into this one, it would also be a major dissapointment if the rumors were true of him never coming down from his satelite state.

All I've got to say is Rampage is freakin badass! something about a HUGE construction vehicle that transforms into a robot! too me thats best of both worlds and hopefully that all of us get to see the contructicons transform one by one from alt mode to robot.

Sideways is kool, but not like Rampage....for those who dont know, but the image above is his Jackhammer mode

Rampage does look a lot like a bee. So lets get this straight, we've got a yellow guy named after a bee and another yellow guy who looks like a bee. Then we have 2 silver guys who's names start with Side. I think Hasbro is trying to confuse people.

Interesting--I guess the jackhammer mode is not just a "bonus mode" for the toy...

At points, I wouldn't be surprised.

They should have made Rampage look more like this, instead of giving him 4 totally useless legs that don't seem to cooperate with the whole mold. I'll take a snake chimeral looking thing over a quadrupedal failure any day.
