Darn you Hasbro! Encore this puppy! Think of the sales it'll get you!

I do hope that they Encore Devastator, because these parts are gonna go on my G2 Devy that I own. Maybe I'll just put him with my G2 Botcon guys.

That's exactly what I did. Now I just need a Hook and a G1 Devy head.
Note: The cheap KO's head doesn't work too well with the G1 Constructicons and Crazy Devy's upgrades. I'd be more upset that it broke a little if it wasn't a cheap knockoff with bad moulding issues to begin with.

Yeah, me mentions how the forearm parts fit with their CD fist. He also showed how loose the original fist were with the new forearms. So I can only assume that the drill bits will be loose if you plug them into the forearm port. Is that even what you are asking?

Yes and no. I just needed to know if the CD fists and forearms fit together tighter than CD fists and the G1 forearms. So yeah, you kinda told me what I needed lol.

Optibotimus says his Devastator is the KO one (in this current review) so it looks like all is ok.
I ordered a non knockoff set but have a G2 set. I hope all is still the same, if not, it's G1 Devy at botcon for me.

For those prices, I can't figure out how CrazyDevy is still in business. Reminds me of the old Anime single DVDs. They would release each DVD separately (with only 3 eps) for a high price. Eventually, though, the entire season DVD set would be available at an affordable price. Unless CrazyDevy does the same (packages them all together), they are a doomed 3rd party.

No, you are definitely correct. I think the prices are insane as well. Buut this comes down to the have and have nots unfortunately. I have the disposable income, the G2 set (which I got for FREE!), and I don't collect any other lines except Clsscs stuff. Since there has been a huuuuuuge lull for me, I have the money for this. Not only that, but I kept on watching the price on the set go higher and higher. I figure that I might as well bite on it now before it gets more expensive. Would I have liked to have this sold in 1 complete set? Yeup. But this is a new company and I don't know if that is going to happen or not. I don't know if it's gonna actually get cheaper. If it does, awesome. But this is one of the times where I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt at first.
FansProject I will always blindly buy now until I feel I've really gotten shafted. (Which I highly doubt) And Perfect Effect stuff? Well, I'm not gonna tell anyone to go out and buy any of their figs. No stamp of approval from me, but I will buy so for my sake of a neo G1. Again, I've got the income.
So I watched the first few video reviews, and actually liked what I saw. I wasn't going to get them originally, but the review for once really sold me on the add ons. I'm not holding my breath for a Fans Project Devastator. From what I read (don't ask where, I can't remember), Fans Project won't be doing a Devastator because CrazyDevy is doing this. I think it's kind of a mutual respect thing. So this will be the closest I can get to a neo G1/G2 Devastator.

Who makes your computer and what model is it? I can most likely find the drivers for you. If you have high speed, downloading them should be no problem.
It really is an easy fix.

joeformer wrote:I think its awesome all of these other companies are making add ons for the transformers brand. But now that we have a lot of them why cant anyone make classics scale mini figures with some articulation of spike and daniel the way they were in transformers the movie. Why not make some of the human characters that were also in generation one. Why not make the soldiers from the transformers movie. Im not talking about human alliance or screen battles. Im talking about in scale figures with classics and transformers movie delux figures. Human figures with arm and leg movements. They can be around 1 and half inches. Ive seen others companies do it(matchbox). They keep talking about how humans are a part of the story but they never make any. It kind of makes the hwole transformers line incomplete. Well for me and some others I have spoken too. So if anyone from the third party companies or hasbro is reading this then come and make some humans. please.
BBTS has spike and daniel on pre-order, and they got other human figures too

It's not a problem. We're wiping this PC and I'm getting new speakers for it anyway. Thanks though.

To the gentleman (sorry i don't remember your name) talking about the prices and such. Yes they are expensive. I've contacted crazydevy and asked them about this. Their stance is since they are essentially new at this, they have higher production costs. Because of that, they limit how much they make and sadly, that makes the sets more expensive for us. They hope to be able to bring prices down in the future. You're right, i did spend a lot of money on a KO Devastator. First, my reasoning for having a KO Devastator as opposed to an original G1. I like mint type status. The KO i have came highly recommended by a friend i trust greatly. I could have spent around the same price and got a complete G1 Devastator, but it wouldn't be remotely in the same level of condition as the KO. The KO is something i look as, as an encore. Why buy an encore when you could get the same G1 version for roughly the same cost? The new nature of the item is what drove me to get the KO version. It's not a waste of money to me. How i choose to spend my money is, with all due respect, my business. I have the money to do so and not have to worry about how any other bills are going to be paid. It's a luxury that i have and i don't mind buying things. If it's not your cup of tea, i respect that. But i would hope you'd respect my decision as i respect yours for not wanting to spend the same money as i do. It's all about personal preference. I hope that clears that up and we can just get back to loving what we love...great transformers
To address someone else that asked, no they aren't shipping yet. My copies are supplied to be via crazydevy themselves as review samples. They should be shipping soon though.
And one other question i remember seeing, yes i do touch on the fact that the original fists will not fit into the new forearms. They fall straight out. You can modify this to make it work by using the good ole super glue trick to thicken the plastic on the connector bit on the original hands.
Finally, all upgrade parts are compatible with the G1 and KO versions of Devastator. Everything from the head to the waist parts. The only thing that's different is the forearm set. The G1 pegs that are on each arm, that attach to the vintage forearm set have a different diameter then the KO pegs. Which is why crazydevy offers both sets. I think it's something like G1 has a 4mm peg while the KO has a 5mm one. Something like that.

I'm sorry if my post sounded rather critical of your spending. That wasn't my intention. I apologize if it came across like that. I reallllllly am thankful that you decided to share this review with the community.
I can appreciate wanting a nice Devastator but not wanting to pay primo bucks for an original, mint Devy. I can also appreciate wanting a nice Devastator for these add-ons. My problem is this: when I hear the word, knock-off, I picture cheap plastic and substandard quality. That's why I was so critical of your decision to adorn a KO with those add-on kits. I'm glad to hear your KO is of high quality.

No need to apologize whatsoever I didn't take offense. I just wanted to help clarify things. I have a fortunate, disposable income...but it doesn't extend, sadly enough, to getting a mint G1 Devastator haha. As i said, a friend whom i trust recommended a particular place to get this KO and that it's quality rivals that of a G1 Devy. To that, i couldn't agree more with him. The version i have is just about G1 quality. To my knowledge, no one even noticed it. I wouldn't have mentioned it either but the upgrade part i got, the package denotes that it's the KO version. So i wanted to mention it and make it clear to people. Since it wasn't mention in my previous review of their products. I'm very happy with the version i have. Finally, i believe i mention that these are expensive pieces...and if i didn't get a KO for such a cheap price, i'd have a harder time recommending these upgrade pieces, personally. I still think that if you do have a G1 version and really want him to shine, and are fortunate enough to have the disposable money, these are great sets to fully complete the look of Devastator
