Inspired by the wanton writings of Bret Easton Ellis, in 2009 a new indie-electro dance party called "Disappear Here" formed in the sultry depths of Angels & Kings. Featuring the latest underground music by fresh, talented producers and DJs with the occasional celebrity thrown in for sacrifice, "Disappear Here" was known for it's young riotous energy.
On Thursday, June 30th - DISAPPEAR HERE returns on the premier of the new TRANSFORMERS movie, right on the street where it was filmed at Angels & Kings Chicago inside the Hard Rock Hotel. And as such, we are bringing out an 8 foot tall, 600lb dancing robot to tear apart the dance floor.
The Chaotic Good, formed by Jake Carpenter out of Lexington, KY in early 2010 is rapidly becoming a household name in the world of electronic music. TCG have produced over a dozen remixes and have consistently been at the top of the Hype Machine charts. TCG have won multiple remix competitions, including the Dim Mak/Heineken remix challenge and the Chad Vicious/Revv Shop Records remix contest. TCG has played with acts such as DJ Jazzy Jeff, The Cool Kids, Le Castle Vania, Skrillex, The Twelves, Ladytron, and D.I.M.
TCG are currently playing shows across the country with monthly showcases in Chicago, Lexington, Louisville, and St. Louis. Touring with an 8 foot tall, 600 pound robotic statue, it’s obvious to the audience when TCG are
in the building. The Chaotic Good was featured on MySpace Music, Heineken, Oh! My God It’s Techno Music, and Revv Shop Records websites and was featured in Computer Music Magazine in January 2011.
Resident DJ, Heaven Malone is also using this night to throw his very own birthday party with all his robotic friends.
Hosted by Kenzi (Transformers 3, Art Department) & Joe Vortech (Steampunk Chicago)
