Not personally interested in this guy, but if concept art characters from the movies culminates in characters like ROTF Springer getting Studio Series figures, that’d be cool!
I would prefer getting our on-screen cast finished first though. Give us Que, Hatchet, Frenzy, Devcon, and the huge roster of missing characters from AOE/TLK!

Number 1 might go to the transmetal and number 2 might go to the Universe/Nightslash BM version. For an amazing and well loved character, he hasn't gotten many great toys.
I thought the mainline deluxe from ROTB was fantastic.

I bought that Cheetor at full price and I regretted not waiting for a sale.
That ROTB Cheetor is BELOW average because for some effing reasons, he's a BRICK in beast mode. How the F such a thing could happen?

IMO, he's barely different than the Kingdom and the fact that the cheetah is wearing trousers make him look stupid... At least, worth owning for that alone!

It definitely feels like this brand team doesn't like Bayverse all that much, with how much Studio Series has been diluted with other stuff over the last couple of years. 1986 was fair enough, but since then we've had video games thrown in there and now they're dipping into concept designs for characters who aren't in the films, it's like they're jumping on any possible reason to not make Bayverse characters. It's a shame too, because there are so many good Bay designs that are long overdue new toys, like Que, Onslaught and Frenzy.
Personally I have no interest in the Beewun designs so this Megatron is a very easy pass for me, but I know it will most likely be a massively popular toy once it's out.

You’ve gotten over 80 bayverse figures in studio series and most of the exclusives have been bay stuff. It’s literally up to 109 figures and that’s not including SS86 And WFC. This line is becoming one of the longer running ones that’s happened. What you call diluted others would say expanded. It’s always a fun day when a studio series figure gets revealed or leaked and it’s “it’s not a bayverse figure. They just don’t care about those fans” with walls of them behind them or at home

Still sad we are now getting a concept Megatron before a 2nd Leader Dinobot. And still no Que. And still no Frenzy. And still now TLK crew.

Indeed, at the very least we're getting Mohawk and a new Drift next year. I'm still holding out hope that the characters you mentioned will happen eventually, but with every set of leaks I get more worried that the Bayverse stuff will stop before we do get them.
Even if new Bayverse toys aren't being planned, some more re-issues of older Studio Series toys in Buzzworthy Bumblebee or elsewhere would be enough to whet my appetite at least for a while. I'm still praying for an Ironhide with his DOTM weapons.

That would be a great way to get Ironhide back on shelves, and i am surprised they have not done that yet

I have to admit I'm generally not a huge fan of G1 colors on movie bots, but I wanted to try adapting the G1 color pallette in a way that suits the movie design a bit more. It was a fun one to work on!

That looks better than some official color schemes. Love the little "fake" lifeline detail in the inner calves.

I would really love to have a printer that is specialised in making high quality stickers for models with the paper and ink to match. And the machine would be able to cut them too. As in, making your own Reprolabels at home. Man, this would make customising so much easier!

Looks pretty good. Did you use NEST Ratchet as a base?

Megatron wasn't in the Bee movie at all. He was only in an early draft on Cybertron, before not showing up at all. He only appeared in a Bee movie pack in comic frozen ala the 2007 movie.

Although, once again, I am annoyed we are getting concept characters before Que or a 2nd Dinobot.

I like Galaxy Shuttle.
And don't know if this is too far back, but I feel Snap Dragon was well executed.
Doesn't really matter much here though, the alt modes for this Megatron are made up, it will probably be the same base vehicle but it having two modes (like land and air mode).

The updated hands make this figure so much better, I was hoping the recent Decepticon 4-pack Blackout would include them. Kind of along that same vein, if we were to get a newly released figure using an old mold, what updates would you like to see? For example, if we get a Desert Brawl from DOTM, I hope they can do something about the tank turret hanging out in SS Brawl's robot mode. I'd be ok if it was detachable!

Gypped…wow. We’re not being “gypped” with the current leaders. And by current I mean the last 5 years because that’s how long it’s been. The leader class since WFC literally weighs the same as the visibly hallowed out leaders of the prime wars. Ya know, the figures that we’re lucky if they had stuff like wrist and waist swivels and hallowed out in the back. They are still using the same amount of mold sheets on leaders but they are focused on scale with others and on an engineering level. Instead of getting a figure thats tall and core class level articulation you’re getting a solid figure with a bunch of articulation and accessories you apparently don’t care for which that’s on you that’s not on the figures. Sorry they’re not asking you what you personally want but to be real, hasbro should never listen to fans that have your mentality because you really don’t deserve 5 seconds of their time.
However considering it’s 2023 and you’re complaining about this I imagine many people have explained this many times and you just don’t care or wanna listen.

Man, that SS102 Prime toy might probably be the most hubub made for such a mid toy. Maybe it's time to revise my most overrated Transformers list. That alt mode is rough and I don't see any advantage to having the legs get that transformation when it would have looked better if they remained the same in alt mode (like other more basic optimus toys). Plus they have the alt mode kibble on his shoulders to represent the guards but it turns out to be fake kibble that doesn't end up in alt mode, leaving that mode even more innacurate. The decisions on this toy are baffling.
Also, with hasbro so enamored with their new way of having Optimus' gas tanks flip out in alt mode and then receed back into his things in robot mode, they should really add a locking mechanic to it.

As bad as the truck mode was, at least both modes look accurate enough like they were seen in the movie.
I'm going Yolopark's AMK all the way for ROTB. It was a mistake to start design of the SS figures BEFORE the movie's out. The movie's "due to Covid" etc. delay is no excuse. Hasbro can come up with various mainline/gimmick figures to coincide with the movie's premiere, and leave the SS's 2022-2023 releases for the many, many Bay/Knight bots that fans are still waiting for. Hasbro was just painting themselves into a corner to have the ROTB mainline & SS figures "one year apart" and have many of the SS figures looking NOTHING like they were seen in the movie.

Drift, Mohawk, and maybe 1986 Springer are the only Studio Series toys I plan on buying next year, unless of course Hasbro pulls a blinder and reveals something amazing that hasn't been leaked yet.

This is a fan-run movement campaigning for the release of Studio Series figures for the remainder of characters from Michael Bay's Transformers films!
Why are we doing this?
In 2018, the Transformers Studio Series toyline kicked off, delivering unbelievably accurate representations of both fan-favorite and lesser known characters from the live-action films. With incredible figures such as Bumblebee, Blackout, Jetfire, Ironhide and even Devastator, it was hard to argue against Studio Series being the ultimate line for fans of the live action Transformers movies.
After its first three years, Studio Series began to expand beyond the live action films and into other media, including the 1986 animated movie and War for Cybertron video games. While it has been great to see characters from these series receive the same screen-accurate treatment, it has also come with a significant reduction in the presence of characters from the Michael Bay films in the line, bringing a halt to the incredible progress made across Studio Series’ first three years.
Since Studio Series’ mission statement has always been to build the ultimate cast of Transformers characters, and there still remains a significant roster of both fan-favorite and lesser known characters from the Michael Bay films, we the fans are kicking off the #BacktoBaysics campaign to respectfully ask that the Studio Series line give renewed attention to the movies that started it all, and more steadily deliver the remaining cast of characters, including Que, Hound, the Dinobots, TLK Barricade, and more.
#BackToBaysics will share content across numerous platforms to recognize the many heavily-anticipated Bayverse characters yet to join the Studio Series lineup. By shedding light on these characters of all shapes and sizes that all have their fans, we hope to demonstrate the strong demand that exists for their addition to Studio Series.
We have a team running the central operation, but this won't work without you!
How can you help?
Discuss what Bay characters you most want to see in Studio Series' future, what scenes you'd like to complete, and how you'd like those figures to appear! This campaign stretches beyond TFW, so be sure to share your thoughts anywhere you post with #BacktoBaysics!
IMPORTANT CLARIFICATION:
It is not the goal of this campaign to diminish any of the existing films/continuities or sublines currently in Studio Series. Our focus is instead on balancing the number of existing continuities already in Studio Series to see more of our remaining Bayverse cast each year.
With that out of the way, here's our list of remaining Bayverse characters that can be covered in Studio Series! We tried to focus on characters that appeared on screen and what we felt would be realistic for Studio Series to cover. If you're interested in characters that aren't mentioned here but were in the Bay movies, we'd love to hear about them!
