Maybe it's a weird license thing?

It's possible it's to emphasize they're not the same characters as their "parents", plus how many times have we gotten direct Microchange references, including names, like that?

Perhaps Megatron X a la Cyberverse?
They're getting a surprising amount of mileage out of that Megatron mold. Regular, toy, and black decos if I'm remembering right. So I wonder what they'll choose for Prime's next deco? Nemesis Prime? Ultra Magnus white? Powered Convoy blue? SG Purple? I suppose there's no shortage of choices that I'm sure they'll exploit.

I am really looking forward to getting these in hand all at once; the ActionMaster feels on these are pretty crazy.
Neo retro, of sorts.
As much as i enjoy them doing the cast they have so far, to do some AMaster only characters in this line would tie it all together nicely.

The ReAction line are Super7s way of homaging the action figure lines of the 80s with their lines logo looking like the old Kenner toys logo and the cards the figures coming in drawing the mind back to Kenners first Star Wars toy lines
Do you collect these figures? Let us know in the Energon Pub and stay tuned to Seibertron for all the latest news and reviews!

I actually like the look of Galvatron.

But wait, there's more!
We also have a Facebook post form Super7 themselves unveiling their new Christmas themed Optimus Prime! this toy is due out in November. All these toys are around the 18$ mark. You can preorder this Christmas Prime at BBTS: https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/ ... ils/181059

But I really like that candy cane blaster. If it was 5mm, I might even buy Santa Prime just for it.

I agree, as I wrote in the article, I feel the collectors of this line are not also transformers collectors. Which is interesting. While this line stars some of our hobby's main characters, it seems to exist outside of the hobby. Not sure if the Funko Pops line is similar.

I buy them, which usually counts for nothing at all, but I don't collect licensed TF products carte blanche. I keep them on the card and will have them take up a wall someday, which is what I already do with the old HoCs. They're stunning on the card. I wasn't into them until I bought Grimlock just because it was Grimlock, but I fell in love.william-james88 wrote:TF-fan kev777 wrote:Okay so these are absolutely pointless and dumb to me.

Now some of their other stuff like the Cyborgs? Full pass, not for me.

I had a feeling you bought them. What about Funko pops, are yiu going for a complete collection of those too?

I am in exactly the same boat as Scotty.
Keeping these MOSC for future display on a wall.
I think they look amazing and the ActionMaster feels are pretty strong for me, tbh.
Cyborgs and the like, not as interesting to me, which keeps my wallet in line.
Funko, only have the 1 Convention exclusive Grimlock, and that was because it was crazy cheap @ Gamestop; $7, i believe.
Not really of interest to me otherwise but do appreciate the efforts on Funko part to get them out there.
The only other one i may get is ShockWave and that is mainly to display next to the Mighty Muggs version i got years ago for cheap as an interesting, to me at least, comparison in aesthetics.

Having him in hand, this is still something I like the idea of owning, but do not recommend at all. This thing was $19.32 after tax, with the $4 BBTS shipping, so like $23ish for the whole thing. It is maybe worth $8 if that, this thing is on par with Cyberverse scouts. It is just not good. I am glad they made a Santa Prime, but this will be the only ReAction figure I get, no doubt.

Yet for that reason, she might end up being the second ReActon TF I buy after Deadimus Prime. Still on the fence about really collecting this line. That Reflector might be my tipping point though. I can see ignoring him or army-building, there's no in between. Even allowing that there should be twice as many without the tummy-lens, a second one could be "Warrior" from Divide and Conquer. "No! Please! Not me! No!"

Ew... Goddamn ugly, limited articulations, and almost 20$US each. All of my nope.
Still, the artwork on the cards are amazing. If by some bizarre circumstance I buy one of these, the toy would remain sealed and I'd hang the card on the wall.

I mean, who/what is he going to shoot with that thing? Tornadron? (If it's an energy-draining de-kineto blaster) Eternity? The Living Planet? Those assume TF Marvel Continuity never totally splintered off from the Marvel Universe...
...Oh right, continuity splinters! After his third attack on Cybertron in Aspects of Evil Part 5, he came back in an even smaller body to go on a shooting spree right after Peace, reuniting the warring Autobots against a common enemy, then realized Peace was just the future of Earth Force continuity and fled to Japan, where he hid inside that Beast Wars Neo toy, trapped temporarily when it was cancelled...
...but only until an all new TF comic universe came into existence for him to devour, so he came back in an even smaller form...
...Pat Lee. And this absurd ReAction figure tells the whole story, better than any "Ultimate". Well done, Super 7.
Not that I'm knocking the gun, per se. It makes more sense than that one Frieza toy that came with a machine gun.
Am I the only one who always thought The Revenge looked like it had previously doubled as Unicron's handgun, even before the combining rail gun gimmick with Kingdom Galvatron?
Okay, I'll get off this...
Dang, each new ReAction wave has even more figures I'm going to have to make exceptions for. And if I end up going back to complete earlier waves on the secondary market, ugh...

Especially interesting considering the rest are based on animation models, but I guess they wanted to put the old concept out since there's already an official Unicron figure with a 'toon accurate look!

Indeed. Still hold out the faintest hope, this Unicron will see a "release" in the G1 Reissue line, some day.

Big Unicron out and about! Great Super7 (not my fav company) is doing this, hope it does well and Hasbro takes a hint.
Just Haslab the original Unicron and I think plenty of us old folk will support and buy it. This G1 Unicron, is he Titan size or smaller? If they can get big boy to be under 200 euro's it's a no brainer for me.
I will get this, it needs to happen!

Was referring to this guy:
Not the Super7 figure.
As far as we're aware of his intended size:
TFWiki wrote:Though the prototype had the tallest robot mode at the time of its planned release, it was ultimately shorter than Fortress Maximus.
Personally, I don't think there is a need for HasLab-Greed.
Remaking this mold wouldn't exactly cost the Earth today. As mentioned earlier, he could easily be sold under the reissue banner in G1 packaging. For potentially the price of a Devastator boxset. As he should have been all those years ago.

Titan class is too small for unicron
and he already got the haslab, so the next unicron will probably take a while to come out officially if at all.
