A fan-comic group called "Transformers Animated Spotlight" has dropped us a notification that they are releasing a new 22-page online comic called "Rodimus Minor". This online comic set to be released on the 23rd June 2010.

Shaun Flaherty, the writer of the "Transformers Animated Spotlight" has shared with us the first 4-page preview of "Rodimus Minor".

Looks pretty good though I couldn't get the gist of what was going on from those few pages. Looking forward to seeing the rest.

Think it wins the "Lets see how many bots we can throw in on the first few pages" award.

Badass. I would buy this comic. This small preview gave me a nice taste and left me wanting to read more. The art looks very nice. Hope there is actually more than just these 4 pages.

From the cover and the little we got, I'd say Rodimus is going to hire Lockdown and then go all Liam Neeson on Team Chaar. A little dark for Rodimus, but an interesting concept. And more Animated universe stories aren't bad at all!

Very cool!

The only thing I'd like to see different? First Aid's face isn't very Animated-y.

Very nice. A seamless tie to the series is always appreciated and I really like the art. It's a bit darker than usual TFA fair, but it has a dark grittiness that follows how Rodimus is feeling.

I kinda like the reinventing of the animated universe to a "darkest" or less childish art, the shadows and claroscuro really fit on the tone at least the appetizer we get to see here. Pretty good job, looking forward to see it concluded... pretty nice this is art fiction too.

Very, very nice!

Love Animated Rodimus.

Only think I don't like is the inclusion of Lockdown. Don't like stereotypical bounty hunters and I hate TF's that don't have the traditional helmet look like Lockdown and Armada Scavenger. But then I also hate TF's with facial hair.

But anywho, great preview!

Awesome, but maybe I just have trouble following a comic I have to click through instead of physical paper. The last page just lost me. At the risk of asking someone to post a potential spoiler, what was the orange thing supposed to be/mean?

Still, I'd love to see more from these guys. Or maybe this will get Hasbro/IDW to greenlight some official TFA continuations?
