Currently Fans Project indicates the progress is in 40% completion.

I honestly won't be able to sleep tonight now, it's that badass.
I have to correct the story just a *tincy bit. It's well over 40% done as that same illustration board was used back in may at TFCon (and lovingly photographed by MKall and I)
Now I'm going bat shit crazy wanting to see the bot mode!

Car mode's a little odd, but I'm loving the helicopter mode. Hopefully this costs less than City Commander, but even if it does, I don't want to miss out.

I'm particularly stoked as I don't have a Springer in my collection.
I wonder what the scale will be? Probably a bit complex for Deluxe, so Voyager? Bigger? I guess smaller than Protector and City Commander would be ideal, but in the end it doesn't really matter because it looks excellent anyway.
YAY!

With all the money I'm saving by not buying the ROTF line I shouldn't have any problem getting this guy

It's funny; Although they haven't made a stand alone toy yet, I kind of consider FanProject the measure against MMC's Knight Morpher and Impossible's Arcee.

How much will this cost if the Aerial Team Appendage kit is $45 and the City Commander is $90? Will FP go over the $100 mark and possibly draw even more attention from Hasbro who has said the $100+ full figure area of 3rd party products is definitely on their list of concerns? I think this'll be an interesting project to keep an eye on.

Diddo. It'll probably be cheaper to get an original or a K/O Springer.

Probably, but the dollar value per ounce of coolness is vastly better.
