We also have images of the box of Blitzwing further proving that the shots you have seen of the tank are not mistransformed (at least not where it mattered to people). Ad there are images of Shaterred Glass Blaster as well, but the bot mode is really darkened. These images come from the Koreannet website.

I was out on this one but I wish the nimrod that decided this can get a nice slap to the back of their gourd. Like people are NOT going to reach in now and fiddle and touch these figures with no doubt unclean fingers...I call BS 'nuff said!
This is going to be the new standard. I don't have the same concern, but you may want to start ordering online or regularly disinfecting toys with light cleaning. If it's any consolation, handling toys is a relatively low-risk illness vector compared to food or airborne viruses.
And it's not like it's totally new; Cyberverse has been doing that for the larger toys, and Rescue Bots are also out in the open air. They do say exposure helps with building immunity and prevent allergies
Yeah well its a lame ass standard....I'm looking at you/
.
It's just that great feeling that you bought something new....MISP knowing that you and only you had first touch besides those at the factory. Then the Eggheads go and pull this new standard with other peoples finger prints all over the exposed figure damnation!!!![]()
So just buy leaders and commanders then, show your dislike by not buying the others.
Nah I will buy them of course but I don't have to like this!

Seriously, though, I think Skids came out quite well, despite some of the flaws, whether objective or subjective, associated with the figure. Given how much of the car shell is transparent plastic, there is a ton of paint lavished on the figure. The transformation is pretty simple, but has some nice surprises, like compacting the hips to get him into car mode. Getting the front wheels and robot arms in place for car mode can be a little fiddly, but once you get everything situated correctly, the arms make a nice satisfying "click" into place that you wouldn't have guessed it would. It's nice to have a Generations style G1 Skids at last. The Thrilling 30 figure was great for its time, but the "Classics" era of modernized updates has come and gone.
It's interesting how we got two different, yet very much media-blended versions of Skids in the past year. The Masterpiece version was very accurate to the real-world Honda City in vehicle mode, but blended some toy details into a mostly cartoon-accurate color layout. Now we have a G1 Generations styled Skids in Legacy that has a more cartoon accurate car mode, but with a robot mode that prefers different toy specific deco choices and details blended with an otherwise very faithful recreation of the cartoon character model.

I'm gonna guess that Motormaster will be just like Rodimus was, a voyager robot plus the trailer add up to the commander figure, except the trailer will be actually worth the extra money this time around. Can't wait to see if they also got Menasor right, or at least right-enough.
And I wonder if Hasbro truly homages the G1 figure and this base mode of the trailer can be hooked up to Titan Trypticon much like the G1 figures did. And if so, does that mean we will be getting a new Onslaught/Bruticus down the line? We should.

I agree with you on both points. It shouldn't be too difficult to get the cab to transform so his robot mode looks like his cartoon counterpart. And as I've said before, a show-accurate Bruticus would be nice.

DeathReviews wrote:I would want these Legacy Stunticons, simply to replace the CW versions. CW Menasor was a mess of disproportionate floppy-ness. I'm reasonably confident that the Legacy Menasor will turn out much better. I think it will be mostly the truck trailer turning into the Menasor skeleton with the other figures plugging into it, but that's fine with me. After all - that is how it looked in the G1 cartoon. And anything would be an improvement over that silly CW Menasor pelvis with it's flimsy codpiece...
Testify dude...I too had to pass up on the CW Stunticons cuz in the end they were just hot garbage...'nuff said!

To be fair, while it may not be consistent with the other Commanders from the past lines, it is in line with most of Legacy so far, since every Legacy box we've seen except the Leaders has had only the alt mode on the front of the box and then the bot mode on the left side of the box.Emerje wrote:Interesting choice to only put truck mode on the front of the box, no sign or bot mode or even anything indicating it combines. I couldn't possibly disagree with you any more. Dragstrip looks incredible in vehicle mode, and I'm very much welcoming the return to cartoon accurate Stunticons. If they follow it up with the Aerialbots next, I would be beyond ecstatic. I remember getting the G1 Aerialbots giftset as a kid, and I always wished it looked more like the cartoon. I skipped buying the CW Stunticons (though I did get the Aerialbots), and I'm so glad I did. Legacy Dragstrip is nearly perfect, and Motormaster's truck mode is amazing looking as well!

Right, but the window is why they can get away with that and why the Leaders feature the bot mode up front. I'm very curious what they put on the other sides of the box.

I thought the Aerialbots were good, the only thing subpar was Silverbolts's jet mode. Unlike Motormaster who suffered from the terrible torso, the Silverbolt mold actually served that purpose well. So if we do get new Aerialbots, I'd be hard-pressed to buy them, unless everything about them is top-notch. The CW Aerialbots turned out well and I own the set.daedalus25 wrote:blackeyedprime wrote:Well at least motormaster looks worth half retail sugested price unlike rodimus. That's...terrible. Just terrible.
Anyway, the livestream is supposed to be an hour, so there'll be more than just these two revealed (even if that ultimately means 'more figures we've already seen.')
Also, I tried the QR codes on these, and even though they do take you to Transformers.com, they've not yet added the pages.

Well technically the TF one starts at 11 EDT, the PR one starts at 12 EDT. I predict it will be closer to 40 minutes, because you know they have to "clear the room" to get ready for the next panel

I hope all of Legacy wave 2 is revealed and we DO get to see something not leaked by a press website before tomorrow morning, but we shall see. I wouldn't be shocked if all we got was maybe 3 or 4 toys, and the rest is about Mobile Games, other licensed merch etc... nobody cares about, but Hasbro got paid to advertise them, so they will.

Unfortunately the term has been convoluted recently in the minds of some fans. whether all components are physically touching each other, or combined via a frame. To me it makes no difference, but to some it does.
I have little doubt that this new Legacy Menasor will be a vast improvement over UW/CW, but I just have to resist out of principal. I am perfectly ok with the UW version I have, I do not need another.
Posted by Nemesis Primal on April 11th, 2022 @ 1:10pm CDT
The problem is that Lore Keeper (and I, and a number of others around here) want basically a new CW-style Menasor so the Stunticon cars actually form the limbs, just with better engineering, not Sunbow-accurate "Menasor" (read: Big Motormaster with cars superglued on his limbs), and all the evidence thus far points to this "combiner" being that second option.RotorstormNZ wrote:Lore Keeper wrote:I just want ones that actually combine.

The last few Wildrider toys from Hasbro were instead named "Brake-Neck".

Imo he looks better than Dragstrip (relatively speaking).
And yeah that's more of a backpack and kibble than I would've liked, but still overall this is a good sign for the rest of the group.
As I said with Blitzwing, this figure's proportions look great; I just looked at some CW and UW Wildrider images, and while those versions were fine, those lower legs were pretty stumpy.
I also really dig the retro-esque car mode better than the CW version's.
This figure alone is sparking a bit of encouragement for me in that this set may in fact be worth the wait and money.

I'm considering displaying my UW set as individuals with my other Decepticons...
The big potential dilemma will be if I end up liking all 5 Stunticons but not Menasor.

I think these guys will wind up being better than the older ones in every way.
But if they do Devestator they'll have my attention.

While many have called this generations line "mini mps", Hasbro designers are now using that term openly when presenting and we are seeing what that truly means. Remember, the MP line does not have a strict correlation between price and size, where MP Bumblebee and MP Skids are similarly priced while one is much smaller than the other (one being deluxe sized and the other being voyager sized) and two bots of the same size can have a price difference of over one hundred dollars. None of us question that, but bringing that same logic into a toyline with defined price points, like the generations line, means that toy that have the same height could (and do) end up at different price points. Plus you add the notion of a unified scale, like the MP line, and more focus on animation accuracy than any generations line in the past. Blitzwing is an emblem of this paradigm shift where he truly is a mini MP in that sense. We would not have questioned such slavish G1 accuracy to the point of detriment (according to some) on an MP figure and Hasbro is applying that same logic to this generations version.

Maybe it's because people grew up at different times with differnet toys. For anyone who's a fan of the G1 Devastator toy, or the smaller train combiners, frames are just as integral to the idea of a combiner toy. But for those who got into it with Combiner Wars, it might be different.
I'm a power rangers fan so I'm even fine with partsforming. I just like the idea of building a behemoth.
