Thanks to Seibertronian Mindmaster for pointing us to the Twitter account of @morgan_dfx, who recently posted pictures of a possible Bumblebee Movie Thrust. This time, he's posted an in-box picture of the upcoming Kingdom Deluxe Class Red Alert!
From this picture, we can see that Red Alert will be based on the upcoming Amazon exclusive earth-mode Sideswipe. Like his regular mold mate, Red Alert will also be a store exclusive, to the Walgreens drugstore chain, at least in the U.S., like Siege Ratchet and Earthrise Bluestreak. It remains to be seen how his distribution outside the U.S. will he handled.
What do you think of this reveal? Excited to add another LamBro to your collection? Let us know your thoughts, and stay tuned to Seibertron for all the latest Transformers news!

I don't know why I like Universe RA less than his mold mates. I have a replacement head for him so it's not that. Hopefully this is easy to get.

And as a side note, pretty much all of the walgreens exclusives have shown up here in the far north, the only one that hasn't isnt even a TF but a Silver Surfer Marvel Legends figure from a year or so ago

I think Hasbro and Takara must have used the original MP-14 release of Red Alert, not the “anime colors” MP-14+ version, as their color guide for the Kingdom figure.

On another note, i never got SEIGE Red Alert, or Netflix Red Alert, so I'm gonna try and pick up this guy, even if I passed up on Inferno (already had Grapple). I was perfectly fine with the SEIGE Lambo mold, which is why I have both Sideswipe and Deep Cover, but I'll bite on this one if it becomes available here in Canada. Earth-mode is a decent enough slight retool to not make me think its HasTak laziness, so Red Alert will look fine with my other two Lambros.

Yes he is, based on the 2 that were on the shelf when I found my Galvatron Thursday. That shelf was empty for a month.

Mine has been empty for 3 months or more. But tonight I stopped in after work and lo and behold there were 3 Magni and 2 Galvatrons, with the bad shoulders (pins in the back?). I'm still not sold on Galvatron, but he looked better in hand than in photos. The crap on the chest still bothers me.TF-fan kev777 wrote:o.supreme wrote:Wolfman Jake wrote:Is Galvatron’s wave mate Ultra Magnus?

And I noticed the Commander Class slot on the shelf, so I asked the guy to scan it for me for a possible arrival date of the product. He said that the CC is being discontinued in the store, but I can get it online. I'm not sure if this is just regional or company-wide. My Wal-Mart did away with the CC slot after Jetfire, but I got Sky-Lynx at Target. Looks like Rodimus will be an online purchase, if I can get a deal for him.

So every last bit of that premium engineering, all those features... All wasted because he's too short. He needed to be on par with Galvatron height-wise. No ifs, ands, or buts. The climactic throwdown scene makes that an absolute necessity, and they blew it. Even with as good as every last other aspect about him is, the height was make-or-break.
And it turns out, the answer was break.
I was so looking forward to him... I hadn't been that hyped for a Transformer in ages... But now because they screwed up that one single but oh-so-important thing....
I'm rather frustrated and bummed.... HasTak are unlikely to correct their obscene design failure at this point, and given how halfassed so many 3P upgrade kits are I don't dare hope for any worthwhile help from that quarter either.
He was going to be so good... But this one thing...
I just don't know what to do now.

Screw WFC Optimus and the Equinoid he rode in on. Worthless undersized overengineered junk that caused another figure to be underheight.
1. Wrong timestamp, since 27:00 is just a comparison with SS86 Hot Rod.-Kanrabat- wrote:ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:He was going to be so good... But this one thing...

2. The relevant comparison just reaffirms the failure: Roddy's head only comes up to the base of Galvatron's neck. Which is no good...
It's very frustrating, because everything else about him is so good.
But all of that's completely undermined by him coming up short next to Galvatron. The scene of Rodimus picking up Galvatron and chucking him into space shows they should be pretty much the same, as do subsequent encounters... So getting this right was an absolute necessity.
It's probably too late for HasTak to fix this colossal failure... And I doubt the 3P dunderheads will turn out a height fix that actually integrates transformably...
Posted by Rodimus Prime on June 19th, 2021 @ 7:10am CDT
27:00 is where the comparisons start. It gets to Galvatron like 15 seconds after. And it saves you from having to look through the whole review.ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:-Kanrabat- wrote:ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:He was going to be so good... But this one thing...

Or give Roddie Astrotrains boots or a fossilizer/weaponizer?
Or I guess wait for a new roddie or go 3P, it shouldn't be that much longer before a new one comes out though

I just did a size comparison: Galvatron is only slightly shorter than Magnus. Remember, both their roles were as City Commander in the original toyline.
Posted by M. Spector on June 19th, 2021 @ 12:07pm CDT
And I do hope that as more .. thoughtful reviews, pictorial or video, come out y'all will warm up to him, hate to see excited fans miss out on a good figure. Personally, on the merits of the toy itself will still be trying to pick it up, but probably not for 70/80 dollars. Got Jetfire on sale so my hopes are high
Posted by -Kanrabat- on June 19th, 2021 @ 12:22pm CDT
If the only reason to not get a toy is a tiny random insignificant detail like it's half an inch "too short", it mean that you want it deep down. So you'll skip, then some months later come to regret it, then see that the only ones available are on the secondary market at double or triple the price.
It happened too many times for me already. So I learned that if I have just one gripe about a toy that I think it's pretty fine and nice overall, I'd better get it.
DOTM Guzzle, Throne of the Primes, and so many other.................

While I do agree with this sentiment for a good chunk of figures, I think there are other issues with Rodimus (cost, size, sculpt details, and accessories being the most common), plus, at $70-80, if you're hoping for a figure to have one thing (ability to rival Galvatron in height), I think regardless of the other details, if the one thing you wanted most was his height to be equal to his rival, and Rodimus doesn't have that, it's not worth the $70-80.
It's all up to consumers. Personally, I'll probably pick up Rodimus, but I also really like the accessories he comes with, and don't really care whether or not he's in perfect scale. If you were wanting him for scale reasons, and the accessories were an extra that you were probably going to sell, then he's not worth it

A Leader with a smaller trailer would've worked just fine, even if it has only been three years since Power of the Primes Rodimus. As it is, Studio Series 1986 Hot Rod is good enough for me.
A leader class rodimus Prime would have literally been just ss86 hot rod with a hollow shell of a trailer. The tooling we see in Rodimus Prime here takes him well past the Voyager price point.
I don't mind him being smaller then Galvatron, just makes it more fitting that he comes out on top over Galvy.
Or better yet, just put Rodimus on his gun platform and point the guns at Galvatron and watch your height worries drop away as you imagine the Decepticon being given new ventilation holes.

Furthermore, with the way the arms become the tank treads, the fix doesn't even affect them.
I tried to do the fix and stopped, I don't want to risk stress marks or cracks (there is a youtube vid I was following). It is not an easy fix at all but a quicker fix if you want the arms looking correctly is just turn the shoulders around, only thing this does is when he is in bot mode you have nothing to lock the treads into behind the arms.
Besides that I am digging Galvatron.

My greater concern is about Rodimus. I have it pre-ordered, but I still like seeing as many toys as possible at retail. It would be a shame if Target gave up on CC ( which means they probably won't be selling the Titan Class either). I mean I saw Skylynx a few times, but it certainly was no shelf warmer,he and ER Scorponok were extremely limited, and sold out quickly, not like the Bayverse MP's they had to clearance to get rid of.

The main thing i'm starting to question-specifically with Target (San Jose/Cupertino) is if there's bots/scalpers that spam the website and "pick up in store" and thus inventory is getting cleaned out before it's even hitting the shelf. I managed to start seeing Core-Class Soundwave and Rhinox down here... but literally everything else has been a ghost town.

No, assortment-based products (pretty much all action figures and the like) are not available for in-store pick-up, or anything of that nature because the company has no way to track which stores have which figures specifically. Usually the site will just say "check your local store" and "inventory may vary", things like that

^^^^This.
But I would clarify, occasionally when Walmart/Target do have an option to pick up in store it is likely at a future date and would be actually shipped to your store from the online warehouse and not come from your stores stock.

What does that have to do with WFC Voyagers and him being bigger than WFC Voyager Cyclonus? If he was the same size as as Rodimus (and Megatron and Optimus) he'd be properly shorter than Cyclonus.
This looks right.
This looks wrong.

However, if we can set the WFC figures in their own universe (à la Netflix) it work. Especially when the villain is supposed to be the ultimate hurdle to jump over for the hero.

No kidding it looks wrong. That Galvatron needs his shoulders fixed!
It is worth noting, though, that Galvatron is standing closer to the camera in that picture, so his height difference is being exaggerated. You can tell when you look at the feet that something is up with the angle of view.
Posted by Rodimus Prime on June 20th, 2021 @ 8:01am CDT
In my opinion leaders should be slightly taller and larger than subordinates, except in certain cases like Titans or combiners. So I think Galvatron bring bigger than Cyclonus is fine. It's Rodimus and Prime (and even Shockwave and Megatron) who are a bit too short.
Posted by TF-fan kev777 on June 20th, 2021 @ 9:16am CDT
Galvatron's height is wrong, and the shoulder mis-assembly is intentional because it then puts at least the shoulders at the correct scale with Rodimus prime and the rest of WFC.

But he's a Decepticon leader, so that would be very unlikely.
Also, 1 thing I saw in a Rodimus review that I think is a neat feature is that he can attach the cannon from his battle platform onto his back. Makes him hella top heavy, but it looks cool.
