It's been a little while since we've heard anything new about the Transformers Selects Series, but Hasbro has not disappointed with their presence at ToyFair in New York this weekend! Hasbro had on display their repaint of Transformers War for Cybertron Trilogy SIEGE Voyager Class Megatron, based on an unreleased Combat Hero Megatron repaint from Transformers: Generation 2, featuring an "arctic camouflage" paint scheme. Our intrepid Seibetron himself and other esteemed members of Seibertron.com were on hand to bring us some pictures of this upcoming imminent exclusive. We've got a good idea of how the robot mode and tank mode will look in person, and we know this special edition of Megatron will come with the same accessories as the SIEGE version. No no, the point is they were supposed to write Megatron instead, so that means there is a voyager redwing out there somewhere somehow

I like the new headsculpt. It would go perfect with Siege Megatron and those Reprolabels that turn him into his miner body

It's a really cool deco, and hasbro pulse has him in stock already it seems; too bad it's wasted on such a terrible figure, I hope for everyone that likes him that he at least has a tight neck platform, I just can't stand how many strange design choices were made for him

Once again, I'm in the extreme minority, as I think that Megatron is f**king ugly.

So far, the only Selects figure I want is Swoop. I was hoping for a Combiner Sideswipe as well, but the Siege figure pretty much killed that.

It's no real different to the original/previous entries, though.

It's ironic, for me, because the clashing, gaudy G2 repaint features better paint than the G1, Seige version. Basically, even clashing tiger stripes trump poorly-applied "battle damage", IMO.

That was fast! No sooner has Transformers Generations Selects Combat Hero Megatron shown off his dazzling self at the NY Toy Fair, (and thanks to Seibertron.com member TfanPage101 for bringing this news to our attention) - he then appears up for review on Youtube by reviewer Kevin Liu. The review itself is in Chinese, but features a healthy display of the box and comparison shots between the two decos of the figure. Easy pass. This is an ugly deco. The bright green and purple of other G2 Meg figures is garish but fun. This one's just.. blech.

i hope they ditch the angry miner origin.

anyway... i hope that when this gets re-moulded as Armada Megatron it is a heavy retool. I like the body swivel tank turret from the origin it keeps him unique and not your standard arm cannon Megatron.

So we got the purple version of G2 Megatron from Takara Tomy in Legends, and now we're getting the tiger stripe version from Selects, but when are they finally going to give us the version we actually want?

Megatron is villain so i wouldn't want to use the word revolution (that and he wasn't 100% successful in overthrowing the Autobots). Coup/insurgency/uprising are better suited for bad guys.

My apologies in advance if these seems redundant, however, in trying to process and go over everything that transpired at ToyFair over the weekend I was wondering if Hasbro mentioned any specifics in their panel as to the future of the Selects series? Will there be more entries? Also I'm a little disappointed they didn't retroactively go back and add the upcoming Riccochet and Red Swoop to the new Pulse site. i was actually thinking they would have made great *site launch* purchases, and a nice surprise as well, since they are supposed to be released in February, and the month is already more than half over.

IN any event, i hope they keep going with selects. Exclusives at fairly affordable prices is a good thing.
