Instead of "Steal of a Deal" your headline should read "Go ahead and gamble your hard earned money".

Anyways, I'd like to point out something I've noticed. I started this thread because it seemed almost every 2-3 weeks one of the online big boys was having a sale, or at least a special of some sort. I missed put on a lot of stuff, so I made this and kept a watchful eye (which others participated in - thanks by the way ).
But over the past year or so, these sales and specials have been much more scarce and lacklustre. So, whats the deal? Is it the economy? Cause the stores have things sitting around that you'd think would be on sale....

This thread still has a fun purpose although different from first envisioned. I helped out Kanrabat by finding the cheapest transformers Go! figures still available since I feel we missed out on some of those sales. And this is where people knew of those giant Zarack toys. But yeah, its too bad there isnt as much in sales as there used to be.
BBTS currently has a spring clearing sale, is there anything good?

I've noticed that sales have been somewhat lackluster, too. Black Friday 2013 was the best ever. The promotions were nuts. I got a free MMC mini-cyclops AND FP Armored Battalion for spending a certain amount. Black Friday 2014 - not very good.
I think the retailers, either by collusion or happenstance, have realized that being loose with inventory is not the best way to go. And so here we are.
Still, this thread has clued me into several awesome deals, and I'm sure that will continue to be the case. So job well done, sir. Well done.

I was more or less commenting on how the big boys (BBTS, Source) don't have any worthwhile sales anymore.
And I browsed BBTS's Spring Cleaning Sale, and there's nothing really of note. Most of it is the stuff that was on sale the last three times.

The BBTS sale is nothing to write home about. I did notice a few items there that are still in sale/clearance but higher than they were earlier in the year.

Sorta? No huge discounts that I can see. Most of the stuff on sale I already have, just depends on what you're looking for. I'm thinking about Gen Wazzpinator. I skipped him at retail.
Usually with BBTS, I will hem and haw over an item then it will be sold out.

Woot, save dat $4!
Posted by -Kanrabat- on May 17th, 2015 @ 6:05pm CDT
Even with shipping, many articles ammount to the same price -if not cheaper- than what you would pay at retail. Be careful because Amiami is pretty srious about their pre-order and dosent allow any cancelations under any circumstances. Oh yeah, the site IS in English and they take Paypal. They sell in JPY but you can figure out how much you spend with any currency converter.
So, what are you waiting for? Clickity the link above!

Yeah, this has been in montreal all along, its the only exclusive canada ever got. And no one has wanted this from day one. Although if I didnt buy Strafe (almost A YEAR AGO!) I would totally buy this, it's great value.

Except in the Laval store that never ever got it, it seem. Never saw the smash-change grimlock and Oprimus 2 pack either. But, heh, who gives a fok about this place?
Posted by no-one on May 23rd, 2015 @ 8:08am CDT
We had this pack down in the bayou as well.
Speaking of down in the bayou WMs. I've spotted various, but not consistant markdowns on various TF lines. I just posted yesterday on our local sightings page; CW wave 1 Voyagers a for $15. But like I said, it was only at that one location. I've also seen the AoE 1 steps on clearance as well. Happy hunting and YMMV.

I know. I'm using Device Label Broadblast as my C/G Blaster, so I don't need him in that regard. Though I do have a FOC/WFC collection as well... so I'll eventually need him. Dat Blaster is tempting. I've never ordered from tfsource, how's their shipping. I'm guessing like $20 for a single item.
I'm just too lazy to go though the cart process on mah phone.

No way Carythebro. I haven't ordered from them, but I bet their shipping rates are pretty standard for the continental US. They're in Minnesota somewhere. St. Paul-ish. I'd guess 8 bucks.

Nothing too note worthy though. Mostly AoE stuff, they do have Gen Jetfire for $35.

I really need to pay attention to Reprolabels updates. It's tempting, but I don't actually have anything on the go with BBTS right now. But being in Canada, it won't end up being such a "steal" for me

I thought myself as well when I first ran across it.
Talked myself out because its an expense I don't need now.
However if it happens for you, more flicks would be sweet.

It looks like a little rubber ball and a plastic key. Does it do anything cool? Or is it just a collectors item?

Just a collectors item, It is the key to vector sigma from the G1 episode of the similar name. It<s what gave the Aerialbots life.
Posted by shajaki on June 3rd, 2015 @ 8:40pm CDT
Its actually really cool. As WJ explained, its the Key to Vector Sigma (and Vector Sigma itself) featured in the G1 cartoon, and also in Beast Machines.carytheone wrote:What's the deal with this here?

The sphere is plastic and has a notch for the key, and the key is solid diecast (and quite satisfying I might add!). The base unfortunately is just cardboard, but I just tossed it aside
apologies for dusty display

Well... Have a 250mb hard drive from 1979. Just imagine how much the thing cost at the time!
More than a Ferrari in fact.
But, let's get back to the deals before we get Burn'd.

Anyone ever tried buying anything from Mandrake? Each times I see a great deal, it's from a vendor who either wont sell outside of Japan, or I have a error message.
