I would guess then this would be the last wave before the change over to all DotM.
Hopefully Warpath won't be one of those impossible to find late wave kind of figures, cause he looks freakin sweet!

That's how it's always been. 8 figures per case, with the figures staying in 3 waves max, slowly phasing out. Thundercracker will go fast, since his past versions were all exclusives.

Warpath
I missed him by seconds he was in shopping cart and by the time I went thru the log in process he was gone!
Edit: never mind, he's back in stock for the moment, but be prepared for sticker shock! I went ahead and pre-ordered one, it will still be cheaper than me driving all over creation to find him.

Too Late!

I'm showing three left.
Either way, I've got him on pre-order with Wheeljack and Thundercracker for 44.99
That's 12.50 for Thundercracker and Wheeljack, and $20 for Warpath. Seems fair to me.

Because it's still a toyline for kids. Kids don't know kup, kup is one of the least released figures and may mostly picked up by collectors, who are the minority when it comes to buying toys.
Thundercracker is wanted by collectors and is one kids are familiar with. The characters colorings have been used often for the last few years. Saw him in animated, the WFC game.
If it was 2 kup and 1 thundercracker, kup would warm shelves and thundercracker would be hard to get.

If indeed we are getting an Arcee soon, she might be in a wave of RTS.
I am rather worried that these final wave figures could be quite hard to find, especially since the DOTM line comes out about a month after these are supposed to. I may never even see these in my stores, since most of the stores in my area are extremely slow. When I went to some last weekend, the only one that had any RTS figures at all was a Kohl's, and it only had two of the figures from the first wave (luckily one was Jazz, so I only ended up having to get Tracks online, rather than both).

And PCC combiners are all sorts of screwed up in distribution... wave 2 2-packs appeared once at two stores in town in mid fall, was sold out in less than a week, and until about a week ago, all I could find in CO, KS, and MO was wave 1 and 3. No wave 2 has started showing up again - but just one or two here or there. I found the Dinobots and Constructicons in mid December in KS, but haven't seen either since.
Weird.

But that argument falls apart when your realise that kids have had as much exposure to Kup and Warpath as they have had to Fallback, Mindset or Terradive.

It's plain and simple logistics, really. The first wave has 4 figures, so 2 of each. As the waves progress newer figures get added while older ones are phased out by lowering their number per case. Wave 8 will be the third wave and final wave Kup and Scourge will be in, and as a rule of thumb, figures ship for no more than 3 waves.

Except we're not comparing new characters to existing characters. We're comparing 2 existing characters. Kup and thundercracker.
Also, warpath was in WFC as a playable character.

Yeah! because its not like there's about 20+ online retailers we can get our toys from if we don't find them in stores!

That said, I ordered the set of 3 with him, TC, and WJ. I can stomach $15 a lot better than $25.
