I wonder what they'll cut from the film, usually when the bring a movie to Imax, they must edit it rather heavily. I remember when Attack of the Clones came to Imax, they cut a good 30 minutes out of the movie...

Closest IMAX to College station is at Paramount which is near St. John and Adelaide. You'd be better off getting off at Osgoode.Dragonslayer wrote:Oh man...I REALLY hope there's an IMAX near College Station...freakin' schweet!!!

My sentiments exactly. I think the nearest one is a couple hours away in Niagara Falls.

That's because most IMAX theaters in 2002 were still using the actual IMAX film format. Those reels couldn't hold more than about 120 minutes of film, so they had to chop up longer movies to fit. Now, however, IMAX formats aren't restricted to that time format. Take Harry Potter, for example; the recent movie (Order of the Phoenix) is still on many IMAX screens. That film is *well* over two hours long, probably longer than even Transformers, not even considering trailers. I would be surprised if they had to edit *anything* out of this film.
The only thing I'm worried about is how bad the 'shaky camera' filming technique will make me nauseous on that big of a screen...

Probably just edit in the scenes that appeared during the end credits...

The movie is going out of theaters for a reason-- to reformat it into theaters made to take advantage of it's massive action, and give it a second run.

saintsfan1983 wrote:This is news? I saw transformers twice, and my second time was Imax at Mall of Ga. All I can say is it actually hurt my eyes when they transformed there were so many parts moving it literally hurt.
I'd say it is, considering there are claims that there is additional footage.

all the movies that have also been in imax, always get major promotional push to let people know its playing there too (all the ads in the papers and magazines mention it, tv ads too)...and there was nothing about transformers ever being in imax anywhere..so maybe that person is just confused or something...lol

Mine is at Arizona Mills Mall. There's also gonna be one at Baseline and Signal Butte, but that's obviously not open yet if it's still being built. I wouldn't mind seeing this in Imax though.
Is this the "He's coming" thing, or is that something else entirely.

No, the 'he's coming' is a gallery of a green coloured Ramulus.

Really wish that Transformers had have been given the Imax treatment in Sydney, but it missed the school holiday period.
