That being said, they couldn't have picked a better mold for Roadbuster.

I don't mind repaints. s someone said in a notherthread its a way for Hasbro to make money on their molds. And then gives the collector things like Targetmaster Cyclonus.
And I'm sure I'll pick up the Road Buster vs Dirge set. If only for the Cyb Starscream mold.
I still don't get why hasbro just refuses to produce a general release of an individually packaged Cyb Starscream mold.
I hope these are easier to find than the Vector Prime vs Starscream 2 packs from Cybertron.
As for Ratbat and Springer, I might pick them up. Since I missed both molds back in Cybertron.

Looks like I'm getting my wish, in a way, for War Within characters that are not Titanium.

If anything, all these Exclusives should be an indicator of how wildly successful the TF franchise is right now.

I'll probably get these because I like the molds. And I've been wanting a Evac repaint.

Plus, with the sets costing $20 each, and that old Target store coupon for $5 off a purchase of $25 or more, you can get the whole set of 4 for only $35! That's $8.75 a figure for 2 Deluxes and 2 Voyagers!

WE FINALLY GET THE WRECKERS!!!!!
Even if they are repaints, it still rocks to have a Wrecker.

I do. Not having green wheels helps too. As for the Springer/Evac figure, this was the most exciting news from Botcon for me.

Autobot Jazz wrote:I wish there was a way to get the comics without buying the repaint, I already own 3 of the 4 molds(PM me with the right answer of which 3 I have for a free prize!)
Everyone but Dirge cause it origionaly came in a overpriced 2 pack for a fig you just paid an arm and a leg for in Supreme Class.
I'm going with that cause it's the only reason why I don't have that mold(I thing the only Cybertron one I'm missing).

I'll have to have some extra extra money to sway myself into buying them.
Unfortunately, not all of my summer job money can go to collecting toys.

I think that's the reason most of us, including myself don't have that particular mold.
I had a chance to buy Supreme Starscream but passed and got Primus instead. Better choice I think.
Still again I ask, why is Hasbro so intent on not releasing this mold by itself. Only in weird 2 packs. Hope I can find this 2 pack this time around.

Although Springer makes sense because he features in the comic, I would rather have had a repaint of Evac as G1 Whirl as I like the slighly more obscure figures (like they did in Classics 1.0 using the legends figure).

Kinda lost on the other set, neither figure looks good in terms of color.
I'm also wondering about the price point, since these sets claim to have a voyager and deluxe figure plus comic. Does that mean $30+?

I believe they’ll be $20 each, like the Skywarp and Magnus set from early last year.

The display at Botcon said $19.99, which was the same price as the Ultra Magnus/Skywarp set back in Classics.
So buy both at the same time, use the coupon Target distributed online earlier this year to get $5 off, and you pay $35 for 4 figures and 2 comics!
That's how repaints should be sold, in bulk for a discount price!

Hmm. A Search-and-rescue chopper doesn't seem like a very Decepticon'y choice for an alternate mode.

The combiner limbs are pretty obscure choices but my reason for Whirl was to go with Roadbuster (then we'd have both G1 Deluxe Autobots).

kirbenvost wrote:I was originally going to pass on all of these (I want Blades), but the more I look at Springer, the more I want it, especially since I've started collecting Springer toys. These repaints are pretty good though, and a great idea with the comics included. Reminds me of the Star Wars comic 2-packs they had a few years back. Sometimes I don't like bad repaints, but these are good, way to go Hasbro! They're really taking steps in the right direction after finally being done with the Movie.
FYI, Star Wars and GI Joe both have comic two packs all the way up to the present...
So it is a good idea, and about time that Transformers did them more.

I figured, it's just been that long since I purchased a Star Wars figure or even took more interest in them beyond "Oh hey, this one's pretty cool! Now where are the TFs..." lol

Agreed. I've always wanted to use that hook and line and a garrot.
