While we had seen some of these official images before, we now have a whole bunch of them form Hasbro now that they are officially revealing the next phase of the Transformers Cyberverse line, the Dinobots Unite subline. The two figures revealed in this subline are Roll N’ Change Optimus Prime and Bumblebee. They will both be released at the end of summer in brick and mortar locations and are at the $50 USD price point. So basically big Transformers toys to be on shelves for the fall and holiday season.

Full description is below after the images.

That Roll-n-change Bee is a huge "meh". Nothing interesting going on.

But that Optimus, with limited articulation and a vehicle that look like a Minecraft construct that got an unfortunate encounter by a Creeper is so herpederp, so bad, so GARBAGE!............ I like it a lot! Especially because he mostly look like a Cybertronian Orion Pax who decided to hit the gym. Especially with that very "Animated" head sculpt.

I'll keep an eye open for that one. :APPLAUSE:

If you have to roll the toys to convert, why do they have multiple steps?

Bost likely only the first step of conversion. Like the Animated Activators. First, the automorph "explosion", then you ajust the bits.

Seeing Optimus with a FACE isn't any less jarring now than it was with Transformers Animated. The face plate is just too much a part of who he is. Any tampering is just wrong. It's like seeing a pile of doggy doo atop a birthday cake....

It says in the description. It rolls to transform from car to robot, but you have to manually convert it back to the car in 8 steps.

The joke there was it wasn't even Transformers animated that gave him a proper face, you have the Cybertron cartoon to thank for that. Even then, it seems like an Optimus Primal design element that carried over, so perhaps you should just thank Beast Wars

Optimus having a face goes all the way back to the G2 Go-Bot toy, followed by the Machine Wars redeco of G1 Thunder Clash.

And there's this age-old animation cel from the G1 cartoon:

I know these are intended for younger kids, but these toys just look really bad. Like WTF is going on with that truck mode?! This is another example of a gimmick ruining what could have been some really fun toys.

Hasbro finally revealed some ne Cyberverse toys the other day but there was an important part of the Dinobots Unite subline that was missing, the dinobots. Well, now we have Sludge to show you. He is an ultra class bot which means a slightly simplified toy with an action gimmick that is voyager sized and made with durability in mind for a younger audience. All standard limitations aside, he looks like a nice rendition of G1 Sludge, a dinobot which rarely gets much love, and a fun way to introduce him to kids. The gimmick on this toy is similar to previous ultra class figures where energon armour will pop out. For Sluge, it gives him a dino head in robot mode.

Okay, ngl, the spear/tail thing is kinda unique. I'm sure someone will (please) correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think we've had something like that (normally the tail is a whip or sword).

That looks decent, I've never touched the Cyberverse toyline, but if the others get toys as good as Sludge I may get them all instead of waiting for G1 Dinobots. If Grimlock doesn't get a new toy in Dinobots Unite (I don't see why he wouldn't), I may even try tracking down a Cyberverse Ultra or Ultimate Grimlock, because I like the T-Rex mode more than the Studio Series 1986 one.

Wow...I am genuinely impressed. :D Considering the general quality of most Cyberverse toys, this new Cyberverse Sludge looks really good! ;)^ His alt-mode actually looks like a more or less proper sauropod. Kudos to whoever designed this toy for finally not giving Sludge the ridiculous feet he (and G1 Grimlock) normally have in their respective dinosaur-modes.

We heard you wanted more Cyberverse news, so here you go. Hasbro just released a video showing the big automorph gimmick of the upcoming Transformers Bumblebee Cyberverse Adventures Dinobots Unite Roll N’ Change Bumblebee. This is a big Bumblebee toy that transforms as soon as you roll it and it has lights and sounds. Anything a 5 year old (or even younger) would want. The video was uploaded to youtube by Benson Yee. The autoconversion is one way, meaning that you then have to set him back into car mode manually. The full product description is below.

Transformers Bumblebee Cyberverse Adventures Dinobots Unite Roll N’ Change Bumblebee
(Ages 6 and Up / Approx. Retail Price: $49.99 / Available: September 1, 2021)

The DINOBOTS ROLL N’ CHANGE BUMBLEBEE figure stands at 10 inches tall and seamlessly converts from sports car to robot mode by pulling out the sword accessory and rolling BUMBLEBEE forward. Watch him convert to robot mode in one continuous motion with the push-to-convert feature! BUMBLEBEE also manually converts back to vehicle mode in 8 steps, features lights, 10 button-activated sound effects, and comes with a sword accessory and 3 Energon Armor pieces.

As a powerful new threat targets CYBERTRON, it is up to GRIMLOCK and his new friends, the DINOBOTS, to unite and save the planet! Discover the unique powers and skills of each CYBERVERSE character, and see how those powers will be used to defend CYBERTRON… or threaten it.

Roll out like never before! Take home the magic of what makes the TRANSFORMERS robots More Than Meets the Eye with ROLL N’ CHANGE figures! Cyberverse is freaking cool, not only do I want but I expect a certain level of gimmicks in these toys. The warrior class with repeatable attack functions were cool. Same with these roll to transform, they may not be great action figures but they look like hella fun toys. God son is getting at least one.

Ultra? Awesome! I love it.

Very cool stuff, I hope they make the entire team. Ultra is present day Voyager size.

Cyberverse has a few very cool figures, that Hammerhead guy, Lugnut's sister, Shockwave's are pretty good. There are some good figures in the line and I was rolling around the floor with the cartoon especially season 2.

Can't wait for the new 2 movies and hopefully more new toys.
And a better Optimus and Megatron Ultra sized.

Offtopic, old rusty here. Ultra used to be bigger than Mega which is Voyager now.
Stuff confuses me for no reason.

Thanks to fellow Seibertronian JTPrime, we now have our first look at the upcoming warrior class Dead End figure from the Cyberverse line. It is part of the major restock this line will be getting in the fall, gearing up for the continuation of the show through TV movie form. This is a rather anticipated figure since the Cyberverse show really made Dead End become a bigger character than before and he was one of the central characters of the third season where the Quintessons take over and onle a few bots are left to reclaim Cybertron. This warrior class figure will be simpler and less articulated than a standard deluxe figure but it will be the same size and less expensive.

Amazon.ca

I was supposed to get Starscream for 16$CAN, but they sent Prowl by mistake. :-D
Add the 5$ Prime cashback and he was 11$! (I cancelled my free Prime trial 1 day before the auto-renewal.)

He's still available but at the full 30$CAN.
You should get it while you still can.

Oh... It's gone now.

At least the 16$ Starscream is still available: https://www.amazon.ca/-/fr/Hasbro-TRA-C ... 82&sr=1-81?tag=seibertron0b-20&

Not for nothing, that doesn't look like a Warrior Class figure. I can't think of one that came with a separate weapon accessory, they're usually built-in as part of a gimmick.

The Cyberverse Transformers line is having a soft reset with a name change so that retailers can know what product is new and should go on the shelves. A lot of this line is made up of figures we have already seen though. Unlike what some fans think, none of these toys are figures from old packages remove and placed in new packaging since Hasbro does not take back toys from retailers (retailers instead sell their unsold stock to market six stores). These are all newly made figures to ensure that the popular characters are on the shelves when the Cyberverse Netflix movies come out later this year. You will see repacks in all lines such as the scout, deluxe and one step line. Of the new characters, we have ultra class Sludge and warrior class Dead End. Dead End is rather interesting since he is the first warrior class figure to have a weapon that is detached from himself. The repackaged deluxes show the new packaging initiatives done by Hasbro to reduce plastic and they give us some pretty kick ass art. Oddly enough, they still come with the Macadam BAF piece. There are also the Dinobot combining figures and you can see the three that we know of so far including the newly found Grimlock/Wheeljack combiner.

These figures were all found on the Brandora website.

You know what, while that toy has it's flaws, it is very very fun to mess with and transform. Really, the only flaw is that backpack in robot mode that ruins his silouette.

Great article Will! I'm not going to complain about more visibility for Thunderhowl!

Bumbleswoop and Slugtron are great names, but Wheelgrim? I woulda named him Grimjack...or Wheelock. Yeah, Wheelock...and he comes with a boot accessory to lock up other car transformers!

Yeah, it's terrible name. With options like Grimjack and Lockjack they went with Wheelgrim? Not crazy about that one.

Also what did they do to Wheeljack's face!? They shaved the guy, the beard was his best feature! Also not crazy about Grimlock being so gold, I doubt he'll look like that on the cartoon.

I got Deluxe Prowl and I was very impressed. So much so that I had to compared it to the normal Earthrise version. No, I didn't order that Amazon 2 pack so we will have to settle with ER Barricade.

Cyberverse Prowl is superbly painted. Plus the overall shape of the car is better, more "real cop car."

In robot mode, Cyberverse get points for having the shoulder canons integrated to the bot. Plus he's very satisfying to transform.

Image

From the side, both look thin and manage their backpack well.

Image

From the back, it's a big "oof" for the ER because of the hollow legs. You'd expect this on a Cyberverse, not a Generations. Plus, Prowl's legs are covered with extra panels! But the Cyber have a questionable fault. Why the hollow forearms? Cyber also have the hollow inner thighs.

Overall, I think Deluxe Prowl is the superior toy. More fun to transform, look better at all times, and feel SOLID in hand. Also, spark effects!

How does Deluxe Prowl compare to Warrior Prowl? Many were calling the Warrior a great toy long before the Deluxe came out.

Good grief, As a kid, I would have switched to another line, if this was what they were offering.
