As we're already halfway through August, isn't this press release a little late, Hasbro?

That's kinda what I thought, but considering my TRU doesn't have any tf's in stock (except an offroad, and some underbite bricks) I guess it's still on time >:oP

How is the show returning? When did it ever leave? This news is bizarre.

Because Primus knows we need MORE Autobots in this line.

Shame, considering the diversity of animals and vehicles on the Cons side would make great deluxes.

I've seen 5 step Megatronus at TRU, but I just don't care for any of the figures in the RiD line. They just don't have the novelty or innovation that TFA had. And yeah, it's a bit rich of Hasbro to claim that it's Autobot August now that we're over half-way through the month.

Plus I didn't see any Combiner Wars news. Pfft. Why even bother?

especially after, what was it - cw may? And what even was the big reveal they promised us back then? That devastator would be an sdcc exclusive, some payoff there

Is it just me or is Clash Underbite in Evangelion colors for no good reason?

CW May also released the Quickslinger and Brake-Neck figures that everyone was whining about not getting, I think it's fair to call that the actual payoff.

Well it was specifically said that something big would be announced at the end of the month, but if it wasn't devastator, it was never announced >:oP

I'm just saying, unless you're a heretic like me who LIKES Alpha Bravo, you still got something out of the month.

And Devastator is kinda big, size-wise at least.

Well, he had already been announced, it was that a chromed version (that wasn't even yellow) would be a ssdc exclusive was as anticlimactic as possible, but I won't discount that I got QS, neckbrace, cyclonus and hotspot for a discount with free shipping, but still, neither were worth the month of hype it was trying to start >:oP

Oh no, we've reached the Power Rangers Imbalance!

It's all the more galling considering how evenly split the Prime line ended up being.

We really do need some more Decepticons. This whole thing has been a joke sense the line started. I even collected the one step changers simply so I could have more Cons.

Are the Target Cartwheel app special offers going to be for products not in Target stores yet or products they won't restock/stock during the special offer time period like the last Cartwheel RiD special offer?

The "Clash line" is a little odd when you look at in detail.

The Bumblebee deco seems to be intended to be Black with blue accents and yet the smallest size is grey for some reason even though the packet shows a black piece of art.

Some get lots of "Allspark Blue" and some get hardly any or none.
That 2 pack Optimus looks more like Thunderclash than anything else to me - and yet it's also really close to the recently released Ultra Magnus toy too.

I suppose it's to much to hope these will show up quickly in UK TRU stores (if at all).

Also isn't the armoured up forms at the end of the season all Blue & grey coloured ?

That Sideswipe repaint seems the closest to the show in colours of any of them bar perhaps the Optimus....

But I don't know maybe they don't glow blue all the time - I've only seen little bits of it.

Odd press release though.

So....did anyone else see ZERO Transformers deals in the Cartwheel app? I tried contacting Target during August but they have no idea what Hasbro was talking about in this press release.
Re: Hasbro Press Release: Announcing Transformers Autobot August! (1724670)
Posted by RAR on September 7th, 2015 @ 7:08pm CDT
The event that didn't really happen - other than the toys did come out all be in many places before August not just during it especially the 2 packs ( Though I suppose Megatronus did show up in August and perhaps the 3 steppers).

Not to mention this release wasn't even noticed until August was nearly done.

Hasbro were very much asleep at the wheel over this situation it seems, there didn't seem to be much in the way of retailer involvement in what was supposed to be a brand push.
