Minicons that don't require assembly!
Minicons that combine into a deluxe sized figure!

I said set up not the same , the figures are arranged in a similar way as the triple combiner, one for head and shoulders, one body, and one for lower body and legs.

Who? The Mini-Con combiner? It's a new character.RAcast wrote:Who is is supposed to be? I'm assuming it's some IDW character(s)?

Armada Starscream's reveal was a pretty nice early birthday gift. I may consider preordering a figure for the very first time.
Like I usually say, many of the Generations figures are on my "To Get" list. Some of the Construct-Bots as well, oddly enough.
Whoa, Mini-Cons?! Where'd they come from? I don't remember there being anything about Mini-Cons! And they combine?!
pzfksfioejmcsdfgv;afnjna;ffweafj.... Sorry, I was wiping blood off my keyboard.
So how will they be sold? The traditional three-pack? And how big will they and their combined mode be?
The entirety of the Generations line: Legends, Deluxes, Voyagers, and now the sudden addition of kickass Mini-Cons...

I would guess a traditional three-pack at a deluxe price-point.

I don't really see it, to be honest. If someone could do a mock-up, digibash, whatever, of these guys in Insecticon colors, then we'll see.
You know what I do see, though? Megatron as the tank, Starscream as the jet, and Soundwave as the helicopter.

I kinda see it with the little tank, it molding has kinda similar to bombshells mouthpiece, but it's under the "chin" and at the collar, rather than a mouthplate

Maybe hasbro just can't make it happen.
I can't remember an SDCC that has been less exciting than this one.
There isn't a single thing that I'm super thrilled about.
I'm not saying that I don't like anything.. I was just expecting a little more.

The helicopter looks like a "she" to me. I get a feminine vibe from the design.
Shrapnel makes two Insecticons down. Now, we just need Bombshell.

I see where you're coming from... But Hasbro is clearly in support of 3rd Parties. Or in denial about how many of you have bought Hercules!
I'm excited about the new Bombshell... but disappointed it's going to be the mini-size. I think this is marking the beginning of the end... for deluxes. At least for those of us who don't subscribe to the comics. And it's a matter of time before even those get scaled down.
I think the Commander series are less sturdy/quality than Deluxe class, and I'm a bit disappointed to see so much G1 goodness shoe-horned into the cheaper scale.
Plus, I hate "Reflector the GUN!" That's terrible. If you can do a mini-con combiner, HasTak, why can't you do a mini-con Reflector proper? Three camera pieces combining into one camera... no, that's too hard. Let's go with generic chopper, jet, and tank. AGAIN.

Surely they wouldn't make something that the fans created exclusive and unavailable to the general public?
Posted by Sabrblade on July 18th, 2013 @ 7:11pm CDT
I considered that too. But then I remembered that this is a Mini-Con combiner, a feature that's already been claimed by Nexus Prime. I get the feeling that Micronus is the "first Mini-Con", Nexus is the "first combiner", but neither can be both without overlapping into the other's title.Mindmaster wrote:Y'know, I've given the unnamed (as far as I can know) Mini-Con combiner some thought: what if this could be the first visual interpretation of Micronus [Prime], the first Mini-Con and one of the Thirteen?

But, they didn't say anything about how limited (if at all) she would be.

Yeah, that was the conflicting problem I had when I had that thought. I'm still going to keep tabs on it, but it's an interesting theory nonetheless.

well this is all speculation, but something tells me she'll be somewhat separate from the mainline. for example if the paint or engineering overly complex compared to the rest of mainline, she''l be either sold as the special edition figure at retail, or as one of the thrilling 30's 30 convention/online exclusives. Me thinkums she'll anywhere from $29.99 to $39.99

I mean there really weren't any surprises here, a lot of these toys were announced 2 weeks ago at the last convention????
Are there anymore IDW toy announcements or MP toy announcements?

From the reaction she got in the other thread, it may be the BEST idea for her to not be sold retail. Most of us are really turned off by her Kabuki face. I personally find the concept art kind of meh, so... (At least there won't be as much competition to buy her? )

Honestly, I quite like the way this character came out. Yeah, she could do without the makeup, but other than that, she looks pretty neat. Plus, there's only one other female jet (not counting Airrazor's "Cybertronian" mode) in the entirety of Transformers fiction, that would be Slipstream. If I could get a hold of that TFSS Slipstream, Windblade here would make a fine nemesis for her!

Yeah some people actually like the concept, but i don't like the idea of the figure being a convention exclusive

Plus this would be the only female jet transformer, designed to be a girl from the start

Agreed: that would've been the more genius idea. However, it appears that Reflector's weapon mode is a nod to Shrapnel's original toy's weapon.
