The 31 question survey seems to get the pulse of the collector and targets what we look for when purchasing our beloved Robots In Disguise.
Let HASBRO know how you feel by doing the survey here.

Some of the questions had been made somewhat stupid, but that is typical what comes to surveys generally.

...I'm sorry, doesn't that kind of defeat the point of a survey if you don't let all of the demographics who buy your products answer the survey? I could see cutting out anyone less than the age of "I can comprehend and answer questions", but other than that...
*cheats and answers the survey in the wrong demographic anyway*

Jeysie wrote:Looks like you have to answer at least 30-34 and male to take the survey.
I'm 18 and I was able to take the survey (without lying about my age).
Posted by zero-kaiser on November 20th, 2008 @ 6:48pm CST
admittedly it did take a few F5's to get the survey to load..
i would also like to see some form of results from this to, it would be most interresting indeed!

I still stand by my comment.

Bizarre. Random sexism.
In the words of Homer Simpson: "I'm a white male, age 18 to 49. Everyone listens to me, no matter how dumb my suggestions are."

Maybe the reason it's kicking the females is Hasbro doesn't care what you buy, it just wants to know how many chicks buy TFs period. I dunno. Still weird sexism, might not even be Hasbro, maybe it's just the script code. Random sexist AI?

A random, sexist AI script... How intriguing.
I still can't access the survey. I've tried it in Safari and IE but still no luck. I've refreshed so many times that it's not funny and all it says is "Please wait while the survey loads" which is rubbish because it is definitely not loading (according to the status bar on the bottom of my internet browsers).

I hope it’s just a technical issue, if it’s not and they just don’t care about female input I’d be rightfully upset.

I can assure you that Hasbro wants feedback from female fans as well.

Of course I put Seibertron.com and the TFCC (being the only two I'm with).

I went yes (since I am 14... so yea, I lied about my age to get INTO the survey) and then it gives you two more questions:
30) What age are the children? (or something like that)
31) Do any of the children 18 years or younger living in household collect and/or play with Transformers?
Posted by Gandalf on November 21st, 2008 @ 12:25am CST
I expected the questions to be a little more specific. And I would have liked a "What would you like to see/see more of in the future" type of question.
When making your Transformers toy purchase selection, what is more important?
It's the "character" I want or It's the "vehicle" I want
I found that question a little odd. I would think that "Character or Toy" would have been more appropriate. What are they looking for with that question?

"The Hasbro Web sites are undergoing routine maintenance and are temporarily unavailable. We apologize for any inconvenience and welcome you to check back in a little while."
...hopefully that means their working on it.. my fiance was abit miffed she couldnt fill it in either :\
-edit- it would appear that the surveys now back up, but still not taking answers if you tell it your female -.-"
Posted by bossbot on November 21st, 2008 @ 1:27pm CST
*ducks*
seriously though , i'm kinda thinking this survey overshoots its target.
They are profiling the average collector (age, buyinghabits) ,some marketingstuff (where you buy, how you find out about new figures, packaging)
but not realy what he expects in a good figure, articulation, pricerange, gimmicks etc.....

Thank you to everyone who informed us that there was a problem yesterday. As you can see, communication is the key to resolving problems.
Hi All -
Hasbro was recently made aware of a problem with its Transformers Collectors Survey posted to the brand’s website. A glitch in the programming was resulting in a termination of the survey when/if a participant selected “Female” at the onset of the survey. This was an unfortunate mistake in programming and not intentional. The issue has since been fixed and the survey is now operating as intended.
Thank you all for your continued support!

No Thanks.
I'm happier to do the survey and get a "Thank you" than to be issued a coupon that is highly likely useless unless you live in the States.
