You can tell us who you'd like to be considered for the 2014 TRANSFORMERS Hall of Fame by no later than 12 p.m. Central on Monday June 2nd, 2014. All polling result lists from the various Transformers fansites will be combined together (each outlet getting an equal voice) with the #1 character on each list worth 5 points, etc. The resultant point values will be used to generate the final ballot of five choices, which will be voted upon in early June on the official Transformers page on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/transformers).
The two characters receiving the most fan votes in the final polling will be announced at Hasbro’s panel at Transformers BotCon in Pasadena, June 20-22!
As a reminder, below are the characters who have already been inducted into the Hall of Fame and are therefore not eligible to be inducted this year.
TRANSFORMERS CURRENTLY IN THE HALL OF FAME:
Optimus Prime
Megatron
Bumblebee
Starscream
Dinobot (Beast Wars)
Ironhide
Ratchet
Soundwave
Waspinator
Grimlock
Shockwave
Jazz
Wheeljack
Beast Wars Megatron

Phase 1: Over the next few days, we want you to tell us your top 5 choices you'd like to see for consideration. Using our results from previous years, we've created a poll which will allow you to select which 5 characters you'd like to see selected. We'll tally those results together on Monday, June 2nd, 2014 to determine which Transformers characters the fans on Seibertron.com think should be considered. The more nominations a character receives, the better chances that character will appear in Seibertron.com's list that gets sent to Hasbro.
Our pre-selected nominees mostly based on data from previous years, includes the following list of characters: Arcee, Astrotrain, Blackarachnia, Blitzwing, Bludgeon, Blurr, Bulkhead, Cyclonus, Devastator, Lockdown, Omega Supreme, Overlord, Prowl, Rattrap, Ravage, Rodimus, Scorponok, Sideswipe, Sixshot, Sky-Byte, Springer, Swerve, Tailgate, Thundercracker, Unicron, and Whirl. You may vote for your nominate your favorite characters on our forums by clicking here.
Phase 2: Hasbro will then tally the results together from all of the Transformers fan sites to create the final ballot which will be voted upon in early June on the official Transformers page on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/transformers).
Phase 3: The winning Transformers character will be announced at Hasbro's brand panel at BotCon in Pasadena, CA.

Hi mirageandjazz1197,
Please select from the 25 choices in the poll in this topic. Thanks!

Also voted for Scorponok, but I too wonder which one: does Hasbro consider G1, Beast Wars, Energon, and Bayniverse Scorponok to all be the same character? While Energon Scorp was clearly homaging several aspects of the original (the one I truly meant to vote for), the other two have precious little in common with them besides the general shape of their alt modes.

Blackarachnia
Rattrap
Whirl
Lockdown

Cyclonus - He's been integral throughout the Lost Light's trip and he made a good turn as an Autobot.
Omega Supreme - Give the big guy the recognition he deserves as the Autobots 'last line of defense'.
Rattrap - Oh... for bootin' up cold!
Thundercracker - Pure childhood nostalgia vote. One of my first 3 TFs next to Soundwave and Optimus.

Cyclonus is a neutral not an Autobot.

Scorponok: A great Villain
Tailgate: Tiny Ancient Dude, nuff said
Springer: Wrecker Leader
Astrotrain: Always had a soft spot ever since I had his toy.
Still where's Scourge, no love for facial hair TFs?

I don't get the Lockdown love. Has he been that integral in the Transformers universe? Putting him in over say someone like Omega Supreme or Prowl would be like putting Mike Trout into the baseball HOF over Frank Thomas. I need to see more from Lockdown for him to jump a lot of the G1 and Beast Wars candidates.

Devastator was supposed to be in the list. I must have replaced him with someone else by accident when I was trimming the list down to 25. Now we've got 26. Oh well!
Please vote again ... after I added Devastator, it cleared out all of the data without warning me that it would do that.

Bulkhead, Devastate, and Lockdown. 3 awesome characters.

If one needs more, consider how he's gone from "random name use character" to bizarre new-mold exclusive (still unique in that regard) to one of the most beloved characters of recent history. A rags-to-riches story!

Prowl - A classic 1984 character, totally worth a spot.
Lockdown - One of the best characters from Animated, so much so that he's made the jump to other media, including a spot in the new movie.
Bulkhead - Honestly this was a random choice... no reason other than I like him...
Swerve - Because Swerve.

I know who I want to vote for!
*reads the instructions*
Hrm.
None of them are in the poll.
I get the process that went into making these choices, but... it just... feels a bit limited. Sorta restricted.

That's because it takes a lot of time to tally up the results when it's a free for all due to spelling errors and discrepancies (Skybyte vs Sky-Byte vs Sky Byte vs Sky-Bite), choices of over thousands of characters over the course of 30 years, and that many people don't follow the instructions about how to format answers, I decided it was best (and easiest) to do it this way going forward, especially since the Hall of Fame has been reduced from an extremely cool event to a brief mention at the end of the Hasbro panel. Without the Hall of Fame presentation which was really awesome the first couple of years, I don't see the point of continuing this any more from a time standpoint.

I agree completely. Lockdown was great in Transformers animated, but I can't give him any extra points for being in the latest live action movie. For all we know Lockdown could end up in the "Michael Bay Hall of Shame" with Jetfire, Wheelie, etc.
Here's how I voted:
1) Devastator - The first combiner in the transformers universe and a great G1 toy. The only negative for this guy was the horrible treatment given to him by Michael Bay (See: giant balls). A hugely popular character who should have been put the HOF much earlier than this.
2) Prowl - I'm a sucker for the G1, season 1 cast, but Prowl also was reborn as a kick-ass ninja in Transformers Animated. He's got a lot of great toys from G1, to Animated to last year's Masterpiece. He's in.
3) Omega Supreme - Omega Supreme was the first giant character and paved the way for Metroplex, Trypticon, Fort Max and Scorponok. He's the Wilt Chamberlain of the Transformers world and was a coveted G1 toy back in the day. "Omega Supreme is invincible!" : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L1psVfPb6uA
4) Cyclonus - Galvatron's badass second in-command. Smart and loyal. If Megatron had Galvatron instead of Starscream, the Autobots would have been in trouble. Just a great character all-around who's held up well over time.
5) Rodimus - He edges out Arcee and Unicron, but it was a tough call for me. As a matter of principle, I can't go against the Matrix of Leadership.

The poll is the only data I will be collecting on Monday. If people are posting their nominations but not making selections in the poll, then their "nominations" will NOT count. Hopefully the people who have posted their nomination in their post have also selected their choices in the poll.
