The poster itself features the Autobot line-up, with Optimus Prime, Prowl, Red Alert, Sideswipe, Hound, Ironhide, and Chromia, plus three Tetrajets in the sky behind them, on a background of a burning Cybertron at war. What you might spot in the bottom left corner, however, is a message in Cybertronian (Ancient Autobot script), which we have decoded into 'Light the Darkest Hour' - a clue as to what to next do with the poster itself. Try picking up something to indeed light in the dark, and you'll find another scroll of words, which you can see in the images below - all of which were provided by fellow Seibertronian REX-203!
As we do not want to spoil the fun for those trying at home, we'll be posting the solution in the first comment of this thread covered by spoiler tags! What the solution does suggest however, is that something else is coming...

Alphabet key for those trying to decode themselves.

I can pick out some of the letters for the second one but it is very difficult to read. I would recommend that those who wish to solve it use a program like MS paint to flip it sideways so you can read it without messing up your neck!

Hahah, I mean it was pretty obvious what it was meant to say at that point. I just sort of reverse-engineered the only letter(s) that made sense, everyone else did the heavy lifting!
That said, I am doing this right now, other obligations be damned. I swear I will solve this puzzle!
UPDATE: This is as far as I've gotten so far! Cybertronian letters amateurishly traced to make them easier to read. (The bit in white brackets I'm not completely sure on, but hopefully context should help make those letter clearer.) Now to translate!! Hahaha I love stuff like this
(I can't spoiler an image so hopefully nobody minds having this step done for them )

It looks like that last word is GEYXR? Or I suck at this game, which is more likely.

I'm getting some weird letter combinations too, right now! It almost looks like the first word starts with "NPG", which doesn't seem right...
[b]Fair warning[/i], I missed some lines and serifs etc. on my trace! It's not perfect. On the other hand, the bit I wasn't sure if I traced correctly has some of the letters that translate most easily - so it seems I was right on those at least.
I'm having so much fun right now! Thanks for not ruining our game Va'al!

I'm betting it uses some form of encryption, since I'm also getting GEYXR for the last word! I'm betting something simple like Caesar. I would say, "this had better be worth it", but just the experience it worth it in itself!
For those wanting what I have so far, here's a link to my Twitter with my current progress, so I don't have to worry about the image showing up here: https://twitter.com/Qwanami/status/1022777295008722945

They are, believe me! They're just a bit smudgier, but once you get the knack of direction of the squiggle and composition, they correspond (almost entirely) perfectly.

EDIT: WE WERE NOT.
Thanks though, Va'al! While that was up, the correct decoding of the Cybertronian script was all I needed to work it out. (You're right, my tracing skills are a little off!)
Also, disregard my last comment. I simply didn't have the full thing to decode properly yet...
Now this is interesting.

Also, isn't it interesting how this new G1 which is not G1 but a new 'first generation' for newer generations is still using that particular cipher?

I can generally work out which letter is supposed to be which now but it still needs cracking

"Ominous and cool, but I'm not entirely sure what it means just yet and probably need to brush up on my Transformers lore" kind of interesting.

Once you have all the letters (and have them all correct), brute force is probably your best bet to crack it!
...Well, that or... let's just say there's a fairly significant number in Transformers, which is the key to solving it. A number of practically religious importance, you might say.

Is it a G1 related cypher? (Not that I think it’d Help me lol). Peeking at the twitter hints; I still question some of the symbol choices. But I *am* doing this on my phone lol

The blacklight (light our darkest hour, geddit?) reveals the set of letters, which yes, do need to be rotated 90° clockwise to read - they are not in column. Qwan's tracing sorta helps, but some of the letters seem off from what I can see.
What you should get is the following string of letters: NPGVINGR BCRENGVBA PBHAGREFGEVXR.
Which obviously make no sense. But the Autobot alphabet was used on Antilla, which in some fiction is a Cybertronian colony.
And we all know how many of those there traditionally are...

You don't need to know that to try decoding the letters, but you can look at the post just above yours for some extra help.

The number of colonies might help crack a certain pattern, and help you shift closer.

Nothing specific about Antillia! Just more, colonies in general. If you need another clue...
The key number, it's a bit special. Here's a hint: it's a prime number

Hey now, don't you think you're being a bit blunt with that? What if someone didn't want to know how it was encrypted? Imagine how unlucky it'd be for them to just see it right there on the boards...
(Just about everyone who cares has pretty much solved it at this point! But being bluntly cryptic is just too much fun... )

Well as long as they weren’t surprised from behind they’ll be fine. Wonder what’s getting Hasbro to step up their PR?

Instead of using the key on the top of this thread for the cybertronian, the one on the TFwiki is MUCH more helpful, after giving it some thought. But why it's helpful only became apparent after I'd solved it.

Hasbro's PR has needed stepping up for quite some time, to be honest. I wouldn't be surprised if they were held at knifepoint to do this!
