Need a poster with Cl Magnus and this headmaster with the following line:
"Third parties - making you regret you didn't buy those lousy repaints!"
DTR69 wrote:There are some universe molds I'm just not feeling, Onslaught made no sense, and didn't look that good, the added weapons and a better scaled head, has changed my opnion about this mold. Can anything be done to improve Darkmount?
Yes, read the marvel comics.

tigertracks 24 wrote:Yes, but there are some others I would rather see from the unproduced, still... I like.
I like the idea of going from ideas that didn't see official production as well.
On the other hand, I like these better than the Snake Head...and I'd actually consider buying that one.
Better still, Hasbro could actually release some new headmasters or at least reissue some of the old ones instead of just recycling some of the characters (to mount that soapbox yet again for a mili-second).
El Duque wrote:Awesome, I may have to pick up a Universe Hardhead now.
I'd consider a second if I can find it again, just to remove the head of one and use Hothead as his master component.

I wonder if we'll be seeing one for Mindwipe too...
Now that is something I'd love to see. I love bats!

I was just thinking the same thing. Luckily I still come across him on a regular basis around here, usually on the clearance rack.

But removing a hardheads head (which contains light up electronics).. I dunno.. I imagine it will look amazing and the combined price of add-on set + Hardhead is less then most 3rd party items..but still... /sigh I guess he does become a true headmaster with the whole lacking a permenant attached head, and as the blurry picture shows pilot can ride , if a bit generic.. After I tried to be negative about this, and now I want it..

The sad thing about this is that I am more excited about this than anything shown this past weekend, with the possible exception of Darkmount and Drift. I'm hoping that Botcon yields some better news...like "Generations" including some true "Classics" that haven't been redone since 2005 (deluxe class Jazz, Wheeljack, a dinobot, Shockwave, Blitzwing). But I digress!

I think I've been more excited about all the 3rd party news so far this year then ANY of the official Hasbro TF stuff!! I'm happy! Really really happy now.

Friggin' Walmart here in Canada won't be getting Universe Hardhead so that makes me want this even more!
Say... anyone down there want to hook a cold brother up?
But seriously, these guys are on the right track. Hothead and Iguana look great so far.

If I can find two I'll hook you up. Hopefully I can find a couple on the clearance rack. I've seen him as low as $10.00 before.

please keep in mind these designs are just prototypes and we don't know if they'll be manufactured yet...it all depends on what happens with cobra.
you have to unscrew the existing U. HH head. there is one large screw and 2 small screws in back. that is the only simple modification for this to work. the lights are in the neck piece and will still work with the new head.
a little about large companies, they sell WAY more and their main demographic is kids. They do stuff that will appeal mainly to kids and not adult collectors...while we would be happy to sell 700 worldwide, corporations work with 30,000 + pieces sold worldwide.
the sad thing is we are using the same manufacturing process as the big-guys but producing way less, that's why we have no money for new molds.
the reason cobra was released first is that is all we could collectively afford, if you are on the fence about Cobra it would help a great deal by buying it....of course if you hate it don't buy it
thx

Well for what it's worth I've got one on pre-order at BBTS. All my Headmasters have their heads already, just though this was a cool idea and design. Hopefully you guys will be able to bring these two to market as well. They look really nice.

As one of the staffers here, let me be the first to thank you for taking the time to post here on Seibertron. It would seem everyone is excited to see what else you may have for fans in the coming months.
We've all seen and heard about how difficult it is to make a quality product and keep costs down, so none of us hold it against you for doing what is needed.
Just keep up the good work and you should be just fine!

A lot of our english-speaking members have been on this forum for years and of course the name "seibertron" is quite well-known in the TF-Japan community as well.
Thank you for understanding about the process as well. We do this because we love to do it and we put a lot of care into our work. we do hope we can make these available to the people who want it in the coming months

If you can get that Hardhead upgrade on the market it will sell like hotcakes. Heck just these prototype shots have people scurrying around trying to find Universe Hardheads.

Even though I don't have any G1 headmasters (at this stage), it'll still make a cool little battle platform for Hothead when/if he gets made.

Sad but true. At the last Q&A Hasbro Canada said they weren't putting them in stores. Same with Nebular Starscream.

The Iguana head looks cool. The name Iguana sounds familiar. Was that named used for a ActionMaster gun?
Couple questions/concerns for the creators if they're reading this thread:
1. What will the heads be made of?
2. How will they attach?
3. How secure will they be? (Lots of folks have experienced the lost Scorponok head because of insecure springs.)

Iguanus, the Pretender?
(or maybe one of the vehicles from MASK...)

1. If the eyes still light up.
2. The quality of material and design meet playability concerns such as a leg flinging off during transformation.
3. Overall complete aesthetics of finished product such as complete unaltered transformation of original toy and proper storage placement of additional accessories.
I do like what I see and do realize that designing the head will be the most difficult part! As far as price goes... If you put in enough quality then the price doesn't matter as much, but if you have to sacrifice because of money issues that will effect quality then you might have to leave it up to the pros! Best of luck!

I also preordered a Cobra Head, just to further help the cause of getting HotHead. A means to and end, and a cool addition to my collection too.

And now he gets an "official Headmaster head", which I was hoping for, and I don't have a Hardhead available now. I am a genius. Someone lend me their foot, because I need a swift kick in the ass...and maybe even a Randy Orton punt in the head.
