Extends fan-favorite TRANSFORMERS series by four issues - Next issue of All Hail MEGATRON releasing in July
Continuing its fan-favorite TRANSFORMERS saga, IDW is pleased to offer fans four more issues of Transformers: All Hail Megatron. Starting in July, IDW will publish, under license from Hasbro, Inc., four monthly issues, each featuring two short stories that detail the aftermath of the 12-issue All Hail Megatron series. These must-read books tie up important details from the main series, and pave the way for IDW's next big TRANSFORMERS storyline.
"The All Hail Megatron series is hugely popular with fans, and for good reason, it's striking off in a bold new direction while showing reverence to the classic TRANSFORMERS series," said Andy Schmidt, IDW 's TRANSFORMERS editor. "We decided to do the extension because we didn't want to leave fans hanging, and because we wanted to segue into our upcoming TRANSFORMERS series."
When Transformers: All Hail Megatron #13 debuts in July, fans can join IRONHIDE and OPTIMUS PRIME as they deal with the fallout of All Hail Megatron, and watch as the Decepticons begin to probe the mysteries of the AUTOBOT Matrix. All Hail Megatron #14 offers a glimpse into the motivations of the traitorous SUNSTREAKER, while GALVATRON undergoes a major transformation, setting up important events to come.
The short stories in Transformers: All Hail Megatron #13-16 feature a dynamic team of writers and artists, including Simon Furman, Shane McCarthy, Mike Costa, Andy Schmidt, Denton Tipton, Nick Roche, Zander Cannon, Guido Guidi, Chee, Emiliano Santalucia, Andrew Griffith, Casey Coller, and fan-favorite artist Don Figueroa. Plus, each issue will boast striking variant edition covers by eye-catching cover artist of the series, Trevor Hutchison.
Transformers: All Hail Megatron #13 launches in July 2009.
Transformers: All Hail Megatron #14 launches in August 2009.

My head hurts

I took that to mean the current Galvatron. His fate wasn't really covered during the whole Revelations conclusion so I imagine he's going to come crawling back from the Dead Universe, if he even made it back there at all. Cyclonus indicated that Galvatron was the only one who could actually stay outside of the DU for prolonged periods withou any ill-effects.
Unfortunately for me, after being laid-off, I had to make sacrifices and my box at the local comic shop was one of them. It's been months since I've had the disposable cash to put into the AHM series so now I'm going to have to pray for a side job to come up and wait for the TPB to get caught up.

Perhaps the mean it to refer to fan favourite artists???
Yeah too much of a stretch.

The way I understand the context, it means the "Transformer" line being the favorite amongst the scope of IDW's fans. (basically, Transformers is the bread-winner in the IDW Family of comics) "TRANSFORMERS saga" would indicate the entire scope of their Transformers books, not just the AHM series.
Yeah, I suppose they could have worded it a little differently but it's a pretty common American failing to assume that certain context, slang or other grammatical "nuances" will be the same even among other English speaking countries. I can't imagine the hell it raises for the non-english-as-primary-language countries especially since "English" and "American" are not always the same. We Americans are pretty good at putting our own..."Unique"...twist on things. (That means we F*** up a lot of what we get our hands on and call it personalized)

Ditto.
I stopped reading this approx. 6 months ago due to the WTF-ness of reconciling this whacked series with everything supposedly predating it. Did they clear that up or something? (Don't see how it'd be humanly possible, but..)

The All Hail Megatron series is hugely popular with fans, and for good reason....
Did I miss something? Because last I heard most people found AHM to be, well you know...
Bad.
I haven't read anything since issue 4/5, more due a lack of interest than funds. If you're going to try and place original G1 homages into the Furman-verse, do it with tact, nuance and style. Don't ham-fist it into some god aweful cluster-f***...

thats all.
these four issues are actually the rebranded "coda" series that was meant to reconciled the differences between mccarthys run and furmans, thats why he's involved. and its been branded as AHM as they dont want to lose orders.
i got a look at the cover of the furman issue on the oneshallstand.com site (it has sunstreakers head) and the write up on it reveals that not only is galvatron back, but so is cyclonus. supposedly it'll show why sunstreakers did what he did too.
i actually really like AHM , though it took issue 10 to seal the deal, and am intrigued to see what furman does with the elements introduced. ive always thought he works best bouncing off someone else, kinda like a competetive thing.
still im just delighted to get more of the hutches covers. they really have been a highlight.

I'm hopeful that they seem to be bringing the first string back to this series, but a bunch of possibly-interconnected short stories may be even more confusing and continuity-shattering than AHM as a whole.
HK, apparently 'I had to get gas for my car' is now considered a valid reason to be late to a final exam?

Except that it's not... I can't re-find the exact page with the figures, but some of IDW's non-TF titles are selling better than TF lately.
Anyhoo... snark aside, I'm willing to give Coda and the ongoing a taste test, as it were, but IMHO, IDW dropped the ball hard with this change in direction, and I'm not yet convinced by reading various comments from Tipton and Ryall that they've realized this.

10,000-15,000 isn't a huge number of sales.

If Megatron turns out on the brink of death and since Galvatron is already "dead" that would be a perfect thing to happen. Then we'd get to see the classic power struggle between the two of them, similar to what we see in some of the old Titan run stories, where time travel is the catalyst for those struggles.
Either way, the best news of this article is that there will be a new series after the AHM coda that will continue the IDW TF saga further, and build on both the McArthy and Furman sides of the story.
And, either way, more Megatron? Count me as one fangirl who can't get enough.
