They compare both of their minibots to the Legends class Optimus Prime on their site.

For that price, I've purchased their "Masterpiece" figures, which are much larger. Here, we're looking at Deluxe-sized figures. Maybe we can compare it to Warbot: size is small Voyager/large Deluxe, may or may not have die-cast like Warbot, but comes with TONS of cool looking accessories.
Again, not thrilled with the price, but I'll look towards getting both, as well as the mini-bots.

I want to go this route too, especially let them be reviewed and the paint apps seen.

I agree whole heartily! Look at the quality and what you get with FansProject and PerfectEffect for cheaper. I know it sounds retarded but if it's true that they're cheaper now, I have an impulse to bite the bullet on these....even just to save $20+. Do we know for a fact they're at a discounted price right now?

IT'S a HUNDRED AND TEN DOLLAR DELUXE!!!! Dude, come on, that's steep. I'm not saying it's so ridiculous that I'm not getting them, I'm saying it's (as far as I'm aware) the most expensive figure of that size ever released by a 3rd party. Record setting price tends to make it unobtainable for some people. Me? I'm just not going to eat for 2 weeks!

Unless iGear disappeared altogether, yes, you would get your money back. They're not going to be doing much future business if they took people's money and didn't deliver the product.

Yes, I love the accessories the not-Ironhide and not-Ratchet come with. True, the price is definitely more than I would like to pay, but if I were to get the money, I would buy them both. I mean, these guys do look awesome, and in my little opinion, they are great homages to Ironhide nad Rachet...........

No idea, but I preordered the PP Seeker set back in Nov'11 and I'm still patiently awaiting the arrival of the last two figures. I knew it'd be a long wait, though, so I'm not saying anything negative.

Well, iGear could choose to change the prices at any time. I preordered Bee01 & 02 for the sale of $30, and now that they are released you can still get that price.
I'm curious though about getting it cheaper. TFSource has the 3 PP jets for a lot cheaper than iGear currently has it; however, I preordered them for even cheaper, but the shipping they charged was incredibly high. I'd probably have done better with TFSource preorder and shipping all 3 together, but TFS only opened this up a few months ago.
Think about this way. I think these figures are perfect for a Classics collection. They look a lot better than the Takara/Hasbro renditions, and come with TONS of cool looking accessories. If you did not get Takara/Hasbro versions when they came out, they can be had in the secondary market for almost similar prices to what iGear is asking now... it's a judgement call, sure. But I just need to plan to spend some serious cash on these guys.

Good call, and thanks! I don't have G1 Prime out to compare to my Classics figures, but it's good to have a better approximation now. And now, better to justify prices.

I have to agree with this. Keeping the figures in scale is pretty important to me. Sometimes more important than the price. The minibots are too small and Ironhide/Ratchet's too big...I'm sitting these out for the time being for these exact reasons. Plus there are still no coloured protos...

I got out my G1 Primer for ref and compared him to some other Generations guys
Kup - Kups head is about to the top of Prime cab (about a head height shorter overall)
Inferno - Reverse of Kup. Prime's head comes up to the top of Infernos cab, with Infernos head makining about 1" or so higher.
Most of the generations guys are way shorter unless you take into account doors/wings and missles.

I agree with you. The price may be more than what people expected but it's not outrageous when all of their accessories and the amount of detail on the figures are taken into consideration. My only concern is QC. Some parts look a little fragile. I also wonder how well balanced they are. Are they going to fall over easily?
I like the scale of Ironhide and Ratchet. They will fit well in a MP collection. What are the chances that these figures will be on other sites for preordering?

Lacking a G1 Prime and Inferno, I did my best comparing side by sides. But if my SWAG is right, they are just shy of City Commander. Ironhide being that big is pretty cool, but Prime was always bigger than him. Hopefully this will get me to quit messing with my budget.

I believe TFsource has carried all the previous iGear releases so I figure they will get these as well. I emailed them about them earlier, but probably won't heard back from them until tomorrow.

So since Huffer was a big rig, I'd really like it if Rager was bigger.
The other thing is, Spray and Rager may be close to Legends-size standing up, but Rager is WAY bigger than Legends Optimus in truck mode.
So they don't REALLY fit with other Legends. Maybe Legends Commanders, but not really Legion-Legends.
As for Weapons and Medical, I really like them, too. But in their case, I wish iGear would offer different price points. Like JUST the figures for $50, the figures and half the accessories for $80, and then the figures and all accessories for $110.
They all really are great looking figures, but Rager is too small for my tastes, and Weapons and Medical are out of my price range. I WOULD drop $50 or $60 just for the figures, though. There's no way I would ever need all those accessories.

The SPECIALIST duo look friggin' awesome, although some clear plastic windows wouldn't have gone amiss. The level of detail (just look at the inside of those legs!!!) and the range of accessories I think fully justifies the price. However, scale is very important to me too and their size combined with their aesthetics to me means they'd definately look slightly out of place in a Classics collection; my primary focus. Begrudging pass x2.
RAGER is the winner for me. The smokestacks in vehicle mode are significantly oversized, but that may be downplayed once the figure is coloured with the prominent orange. Robot mode looks excellent. AND HE'S WEAPONISED!!! Yes, he's smaller than I'd like, but for ONLY $15 I think I can live with it. Besides it's not like we're drowning in Huffers.

I know. I really really want a better Ironhide then what we got from Hasbro, but two factors are keeping watching on the sidelines for the moment. Price and size. I'm just really focusing on Classics/Generations, and with Ironhide being as big if not slightly bigger then the Classics Vger Prime, it would look a little weird.
But when Impactor comes out, That's the scale I do want him in. I hope that they make him THAT size.

im REALLY tempted to drop 220 on these guys, but i cant pull the trigger just yet. ill have to sell off some stuff before then, maybe get rid of the universe hide and ratchet before i ante up...
Edit: looks like Nightbird went down in price, maybe if we hold off PP05 will follow suit

I'm not someone who approves their mini copies of MP figures but I applaud iGear for their impressive looking foray into fully transformable toys that they've designed themselves.
I can see how some people balk at the $110 price tag of the Specialist figures but that's with free shipping. At least if you pre-order, you get a $10 discount.

I'm afraid that the vehicle mode of a van, will be considerably smaller the any of the Alternators (maybe windcharger/arcee). Yes, when you take the accessory packages into account along with figure size, the prices don't seem too bad (although I still think they're too high and iGear's just trying to see how far they can push us). But they share a lot of the same stuff. If you're interested in just one figure that's great. If you want to get both, you're forking over a lot of cash for duplicate parts, even if they're color-coded for each figure. Why does not-Ratchet - you know, the "medical" specialist - need a combat knife? Or a tripod-mounted sniper rifle?
I want one "Mystery Machine" colored. I wonder what accessories would come with that one.
