That's exactly what I thought. Oh well, it's a pass anyway because I can never afford iGear products.

AS the article says it is 'Not Impactor' of Wreckers fame. Star of Last Stand of the Wreckers comics, made famous originally for appearances in Marvel's UK TF series.

Definitely has similarities to Warpath, but also different enough. Kudos. I'm hoping he will be about their Ironhide size. I'd like my not-Impactor to be a voyager.

Well, with no generations figure reveals at Botcon, looks like all my money is going 3rd party, just like you PE!
We need some size comparisons, but this could be a real oppertunity for iGear to get neck and neck with FP, if they price things right, and depending if this is through them or through BBTS.

Same here. I've been pretty hard on iGear over the last few years, but I'm warming up if they keep doing figures like this.

I've actually been a fan of the iGear stuff so far, and I'm looking forward to what they do here.

I'm thinking that we will still get "tweeked" versions of that Capt mold, but now I'm thinking that they may do Ironfist from that mold...and I'm ok with that.

I am in the same boat. It looks like FP and iGear will control my funds that last quarter of 2011 and into 2012.
Prime Evil wrote:So as we all kinda noticed, iGear looks to be taking some cues Gen Warpath. Honestly, I was thinking that they were going to copy the Transformers's Captain America crossover mold but they didn't. But it does make me wonder what's up for future releases, especially with their Wrecker's wanted lineup. (which you can see on their FB page)

I can see where you are coming from but I hope they leave that mold alone. It's just a little too Bulky for what I picture Ironfist looking. Regardless, if it looks half as good as Impactor, I'm sold. I also hope iGear incorporates different classes into these figures. I'd love to see Pyro voyager size and Guzzle turn out to be a scout class figure.
EDIT: The head on the photoshopped pictures looks to be different than the prototype head mold. Will we be getting different head/face varients with all of iGears figures??

I hope they are going to do the same with the other Wrecker heads we saw earlier. I wonder how much he will go for, hopefully he won't be too bad. Guess I need to start saving an maybe get a job lol. At least that will be easy to do since Hasbro has been pretty boring lately
I'd say best case scenario: $60
worst case scenario: $90

I think iGear wants about two different heads per figure. Go iGear!!

I agree. That's a choice we do not get with our figures often.

Hasbro's been going that route with Joes of late, they need to transfer that to TFs stat.

If they can do a proper Overlord I would be extremely happy, although theyb seem to be focussing on Autobots at the moment.

Regardless, he isn't within the categories I collect. If they make a Springer, well, that I would probably snap up, having missed FP's.

Actually..... Hoping the quality, detail, accessories, nods-to-the-fans and lore... all give Hasbro some real ideas what we're interested in.

I'd easily lay down $200 for a size accurate Overlord.

Yeah $200 would be about my max on that. Anymore that that and it's a deal breaker for sure. If Hasbro is serious about their $100 ceiling on these iGear may break it up into the aerial and ground units and they'd combine. The price is the main reason I'm passing on Project Deva.

Yeah, based on their pricing on previous projects, I wouldn't see under $100. Maybe $120-$130 and the size of their mini-masterpiece Prime. I'd be ok with that.

While I can see a giant figure costing $200, I certainly can't see these deluxe figures costing anywhere near that much. They're competing with Hasbro carded figures around $10... and FansProject at around $50. I hope they can shoot for somewhere close to that.

gothsaurus wrote:Yeah, I'd love to see iGear work on their pricing somehow. They'd sell more figures, which would help them pay for their design costs, etc. Right now they're straddling that line where the price is prohibitive to many, many fans.

FansProject is making scout size figures. Their small voyager/large deluxe, Warbot, was $90 when it was released. I'm not defending iGears prices as I would like to see them drop, but they are pretty close to ballpark in reality. Unfortunately for them though, so far their quality has backed up the prices they pin up like FansProjects has.

But yeah, mostly was just jumping in to say $200 wasn't fair for the deluxes...

Oh no no. I was saying they I'd pay that price for an Overlord figure that was Mini MP Prime size.

Yes we've seen most of them before, but this does show us that they are planing something for Perceptor, Springer Twin Twist and Topspin. Also that Impactor, or Presser, is in fact the next figure to be released since Kup has already been done in form of their Kup 01 head.
Also they have new images of their upcoming Presser, or Impactor, figure:
