He's looking really good!

I hope that we'll be seeing more shots with other combiners to show is scale.

I think we can all agree that while far from perfect, these are great for the pricepoint ;) As a side note I wonder if the club is going to run with all these new molds and create a new combiner

So no more kibble(i.e. detached hip guard etc except fists and weapons)? Given the price point, yup , this IS looking good! I can't wait for the Tomy version! =P~ Hopefully they recreate the chrome parts for Silverbolt ala G1!

i'm digging these so much.. the only niggles are the hands showing (they could've had them fold inwards or something) and well I have 3 ultra class figures that will get overshadowed by this lot

Powerglide, Silverbolt, ...
who's the third?

This is amazing! I am really amazed by Powerglide since it was written a few pages ago that I shouldnt except the same complexity and posability as a scout in a Legends figure. And yet here it is and it looks great. 10 steps to convert, that's as complex as the Voyager Optimus coming out too.
So Windcharger really has no excuse.

Wow, this looks waaaaaayyyy better than the ones shown off at Botcon (mistransformed...AGAIN!!!) and I will now probably not only think twice about that next 3rd party combiner, but I'll actually wait until Has/Tak release their own version of it before I even put in a preorder on BBTS. I really didn't expect these to look this good, but there he is in all his Generations style combiner glory. My only nitpick is the forearms which are a bit too long (apeish) and he has the same problem that FP's not-Menasor has with the extremely obvious robot legs pretending to be arm joints but looking more like an anvil hanging on 2 spaghetti noodles. But unlike with FP's, since this one's arms are too long for my tastes, I've got a sneaking suspicion that I can either fix completely or at least improve both situations by simply collapsing the thighs into the lower legs a bit assuming the legs transform by extending out of the lower/rear bits of the jets/cars etc., which it looks like they do. I may lose just a bit of articulation, but for what I'll gain in better proportions and less ANAS (Anvil-Noodle-Arm-Syndrome :P) I think it will be well worth it.

And oh yes, that Powerglide is one of the best looking 'Classics' style minibots I've ever seen. Not even the third parties have topped that with any of their offerings for this or any other character so far in my opinion, at least for G1 cartoon and toy accuracy. He looks damn perfect and he will be mine.

If you mean Onslaught, the third and fourth team have yet to be announced/or confirmed, so they could be anyone.

To mis-quote one of my favorite Japanese superheroes: SUPERION KITAAAAAA!!!!

Looks excellently well balanced and articulated, wish we could've gotten some knee action there, with the actual joints. And I'm really hoping Silverbolt's elbows are tight for the way that they combine.

Nexus Maximus part deux?

On the other hand, he is woefully out of scale with most Classics figures (the A10 Thunderbolt is a pretty large plane- the Ultra figure was actually fairly well scaled). That said I'd happily pick him up for my Legends collection, as he does look pretty good.

As for Superion himself, he looks pretty neat, although those hands are way too big. The amrs obviously being robot mode legs doesn't bother me though- at the end of the day Superion is a robot made of slightly smaller robots, so it stands to reason that his combined mode wouldn't be a perfect humanoid.

All we'd need are 2 Combaticons and we're all set. Although, Heatwave could be a Hot Spot repaint (a la Heatwave the Firebot) and Topspin is a copter. Landquake is a problem as a tank... :-?

I'm just starting on the IDW comics (I have read RID, MTMTE and IDW volume 1), so I'm going to sound a right moron for asking this, but what combiner teams or members have appeared in them? I know the Constructicons, Aerialbots and Monsterbots are in them, and can conbine, but I don't know if the Stunticons appear in the comics (despite being mentioned in RID) I also was curious to know if any other Combaticons are in them, aside from Swindle, Brawl and Blast Off.

Eh, I think everyone can agree that Nexus Maximus was an unfortunate name choice, but Spastic was only an issue with some Europeans. For Americans and much of the world the word doesn't hold any derogatory meaning. Weird Al even used the word in his recent song "Word Crimes" ("Saw your blog post, It's really fantastic, That was sarcastic (Oh, psych!), 'Cause you write like a spastic") and the Internet didn't blow up.

Since Death of Optimus Prime and the two ongoings started, we've seen Devastator/Prowlestator, Monstructor, Superion (in old configuration, plus introduced to Alpha Bravo and Powerglide). Menasor shows up in mentions, and can be found in the 2009-2011 ongoing (if you have to).

Combaticons as a more or less complete team, though not Bruticus, if I'm not completely off the mark, have only shown up in Primacy, early IDWverse and 2009-2011 Costa run. The latter also had the Predacons, who are still hanging around, though not as a combiner.

His upper thighs and hips look a little on the skin side for me, but overall he looks a decent figure.

Would like to see a size comparison with FOC Bruticus/Ruination.

This is one of the best looking Powerglide's I have seen in a long time. I am reflecting a lot on the three Ultra class figures that come out several years ago Onslaught, Silverbolt and Powerglide. I think Powerglide is the only one who really compares well to those older incarnations.

Jet engines don't bother me to be honest. It looks like it was intentional to give him proper robot mode propulsion.

For that scale I totally agree However, I am kinda turned off by his visible robot hands in vehicle mode. You would think that with those weapon forearms, they would come into play in alt mode ot reveal that portion but no, they just stick straight out.

why is jet kibble on a figure made of five jets a bad thing?

Wow! I did'nt see these pictures until now. He looks pretty good standing static, he looses some of his sharpness when he starts to move but this is still a great looking combiner. My only other issue is the thighs are a bit thin.Just a though but, I wonder if Ultra class figures from a few years back would have been the perfect size for the core of a combiner.

Superion's lower legs are on backwards. His knees are supposed to bend at the joint on the combiner peg, not Silverbolt's elbows. But Blacklai put the legs on like the G1 toy instead of how they're supposed to be here.

These legs are correct:

These legs are not:

And this is what the G1 toy's legs were like (which is not how the Generations legs should be):

I think the legs look better with the nosecones in front, but it's nice to know you have the option of G1 accuracy without completely sacrificing the knee joint.
