My understanding of this movie is that it is a sequel, essentially, to AoE. THreads that started in that movie continue in this one. That's unique in this series. Pretty much all three of the early trilogy are stand alone films.

OK, I was just confused by which movie you were referring to as the penultimate film. If the trilogy starts with Age of Extinction then the penultimate film is The Last Knight.First-Aid wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:Are you saying this second trilogy started with Age of Extinction or is starting with The Last Knight?First-Aid wrote:This is a second trilogy (though apparently more connected in story than the first one).

- In the scene where they show Cade running to save Izabella from the explosions, the Transformers caught in the explosions are Megatron, Onslaught, a Transformer who looks like a movieverse Whirl, and a Transformer who looks like one of the dreads from DotM but with chrome instead of black.
When they show Optimus and Bumblebee fighting, it is found that there is red on Optimus' face where there should not be any. That could mean that it could be related to what has caused him to become evil or it could just be blood ...

That's funny. Are you a fan of a certain show involving a man stuck in space with some robots?

We don't know that it is Unicron or not. Others think it could be Cybertron after it was partially ruined in Dark of the Moon, or that it could be the home domain of the Creators.Stuartmaximus wrote:Soooo...Unicron's in it!
And, well, some of us have made jokes about it being Gobotron.

If there was ever a live action Gobots movie, I'd want whoever voiced CW Megatron to voic Cy-Kill. And..Oh I'm gonna get beat up for this but...oh thus is gonna be bad...I think Cy-Kill might be a better leader than Megatron! There, I said it! And now the pain follows...

Clancy Brown has always been my pick for a new Cy-Kill. Bernard Erhard's original Cy-Kill always struck me as sounding like a sillier version of DCAU Lex Luthor.Decepticon Stryker wrote:Sabrblade wrote:We don't know that it is Unicron or not. Oh, I loved Brown's portrayal of Mr. Freeze in The Batman. Actually, in that he sounds like Cy-Kill whispering. Just replace it with a synthesizer (or whatever they u to do that mechanical sound) and you'd have Cy-Kill.

I can't... right now with that statement in this thread. Such stuff is heresy to GLORIOUS Lord Megatron.

To me penultimate is the terminal movie, so the NEXT one would be the penultimate of this second trilogy.
