Bad news for fans of the supposed leaked script for Transformers 3 that Seibertron.com reported on a couple days ago. Turns out its legitamacy has been disproven.

Nelson, Adminstrator for Michael Bay's website Shoot For the Edit, has made a statement on the script stating that it is purely fan made and in no way related to the third installment of the Transformers movie franchise.

Sorry Seibertronians, no Knight Rider or Back to the Future references this go around.

Keep your optics locked right here on Seibertron.com, your Ultimate Transformers Resource.

Looks like 95% of the fandom was right all along.

I for one am pleased.

If it was real they probally would not admit it and choose to scrap it...

Wait. They're denying it, so it must be real, right??!?!!

It was an interesting read, but I just don't see Bay ever getting close to making something like that.

Thank goodness! That script was just horrendous, even compared to the existing TF films.

But really, though, why would Bay go in such a ridiculous direction after the huge 'success' of ROTF?

So if the script is fake (didnt they say the last movie leaks were fake too?) does that mean that the 5 hour meeting hasbro had with bay was fake too? Good thing i didnt waste my time reading the script.

There were some cool ideas in that script, but it wouldn't have been a very good film. As for Bay & CO. there is NO WAY they would throw any bones to the fans like that....come on now guys get real. Oh and LMAO @ the Michael Knight and Kitt pic ;) B-)

I knew it was a fake. It was still entertaining to read, though. Always good to see some TF fan fiction.

Fake? Not fake?? Does it really matter??? Even if it's not a fake, guess what Bay and them would say, "Ummm, it's a fake."

Although I enjoyed ROTF, I do have to say that it didn't have the heart of the first film. When we said we wanted MORE ROBOTS, I for one didn't mean QUANTITY, I wanted QUALITY time and attention, with a couple newbies thrown in... It's like so much time and effort was wasted on amazing CGI models to become background fodder. I mean, come on, besides Optimus what bot had more than 5 lines or minutes of good screen time?? I for one agree with the article with the script, Bay is screwing up a known mythos and formula... I am all for new stuff, but Balls on Devestator? Jive talking robots?? Although entertaining, in retrospect it's irritating. I am not evening mentioning one moment they are in Washington DC then walk out into the Arizona/New Mexico (?) desert....sheesh. Or Megs "following" the Fallen...give me a break, he mouthed off to Unicron when he was half dead for crying out loud!!

Yes, ROTF was cool. Yes, it was financially successful, but that doesnt mean it was a GREAT movie. I liked it, but I LOVE the first one. ROTF just didnt give me the warm and fuzzies like part 1. This script may be fake, but I think Bay needs to get off his high horse and listen to people who know what the heck they are talking about, and for godsake, scout and scrutinize for plot holes and inconsistencies this time!!! ugh!!! You can make you're own but still honor and follow the spirit of what came before...just look at Spiderman, Iron Man, etc.

They confirmed the leaked early scripts as fake for the last two movies, and we pretty much got exactly the first things we read as the final product. What makes them think we're going to expect anything different with this?

I read about three or four pages. It was OBVIOUSLY fake, so I couldn't bring myself to read the whole thing. It was just G1 reference after G1 reference. Not even in a good way. It was just wanking; not even fun to read.

i knew it. i knew it was a fake. i mean the Ark w/ Sam and Company in deep space? sounds more like a cartoon script than a live action one.

cartoon script? hey now there's something. could be a cartoon pilot for Transformers 3! 8-}

Whatever you thought of the last film (overblown mess that it was), it was still a professionally-written script, and as such you could tell that the writers had thought about stuff such as pacing, plot logic, characterisation etc. You don't need a master's degree in Scriptwriting to realise that the 'leaked' script was written by an over-enthusiastic amateur.

To be blunt, those who think this latest denial is just another facet of Bay's misinformation campaign are just as deluded as the writer of this garbage excuse for a screenplay.

Professionally written script? Joking yes? But then look at the nonsence Hollywood churns out like Harry Potter and hundreds of hyped up, unfunny comedies supposedly written by professional writers. As bad as Armada was, it didn't affect me the way ROTF did. Didn't go near a TF for over a week. Was ready to give up after 2 decades + of fandom.

Loved the 'fake' script for TF3. Why do fans always give out about G1 references? G1 is what started it all. I love most versions of Transformers. But I will always have a special place for G1. My main problem with the Movie are the head designs. Prime has the best and most expressive head, and it's closest to the traditional G1 head. Have to squint to see Ironhide and Ratchet's faces and the Twins are just goofy!

I would be delighted if the leaked script had been genuine. My only criticism is the inclusion of the awful Leo. TF3 so needs a scene where Leo and the Twins die horrible deaths.

Joking no.

There are many problems with the script for ROTF, anyone can see that. It's a tad disjointed, there are numerous plot holes, and all sorts of other stuff many people didn't like.

But there's a world of difference between even the worst pro script and the best fakes out there.

So, here's a handy spot-the mistakes guide...

(page numbers refer to pages on the pdf document, not the numbers printed on the 'script' itself)
General point: all scenes should generally be numbered, even in a draft scrept. Additional scenes in later revisions will usually have a suffix. For example, if a revised scrept inserts a new scene between Scenes 4 and 5, the new scene is called Scene 4A.
Page 2: Breakdown's little reign of terror seems decidedly small-scale compared to the opening action of ROTF and comes across as low-key by comparison. No sequel writer would want to deliberately provoke negative comparisons with earlier films.
Page 2: "reek havoc" should be wreak.
Page 2: "Keep your optical sensors to yourself!" Decepticon Brakedown chastises a human policeman, rather than just killing him on the spot.
Page 2: "...and we all have suffered." Grammatical error - should read "we have all suffered".
Page 2: "hide in plain site" spelling error - should be sight, not site.
Page 3: "The price has become too high for our knowledge and our friendship". What??!! The very next page states that the Decepticons are on Earth for specifically its resources, not to hunt the Autobots. so exactly what price are the humans paying here for the Autobots' help?
Page 4: "waver" is misspelled as "waiver". (There are many more such errors, but I can't be bothered to point them all out. Suffice it to say, you'd expect a professional writer to have some semblance of mastery over the English language).
Page 4: "The Decepticons see a planet rich in resources..." Erm, exactly what resoures does Earth have that other planets do not? Earth has a pretty standard chemical composition, actually.
Page 4: "drives over rolling hills". Huh? In order to reach Geneva from France, you'd have to traverse the Alps, not a few hills. And what was Prime doing in France anyway? Couldn't he just fly direct to Geneva? It does have its own airport, after all!
Page 5: Sam and Leo are interns working at CERN!!!! This completely beggars belief, from what we know of the characters. Only the best and brightest particle physicists are contracted to work at CERN. Furthermore, it most certainly would not have any labs with roofs high enough to accomodate robot-mode Prime.
Page 8: What sort of French Aerospace firm would be cleaning up sewers in the US?
Page 9: Energon is discussed by Prime, Leo and Sam without any introduction to the concept for the benefit of newbies - the writer takes it for granted that viewers would know about Energon, despite it not being mentioned in either of the first 2 films.
Page 21: Mikaela flies all the way to Geneva to meet Sam... who then drives her all the way to FRANCE to be picked up by the Ark.
Pages 34 etc.: Lame Star-Trek-style space battle? Really? They even jettison the warp core!

Pages 34 etc.: Between 1982 and 2011, the Earth will travel millions of miles across space. Yet magically, the Ark materialises in Earth's orbit in 1982, despite the Earth now being in a completely different spatial position from when the Ark left in 2011!
Page 40: As if Starscream would worry himself about disguise! Did the writer not see all the tattoos sported by Starscream in the second film?
Page 42: The Ark's crash-landing is severe enough to render the Autobots unconscious (or at least threaten their sparks), but Sam, Leo and Mikaela all survive!!
Page 45: The Hoover Dam stuff, with Starscream destroying 1982 Megatron. Don't forget that movies, even sequels, are generally self-contained. The appearance of two Megatrons would confuse anyone unfamiliar with the first film. Even a jobbing hack would give Starscream an explanatory line here, such as "It appears we've travelled back in time to the 1980s! The Megatron of this time period is still trapped in ice under Hoover Dam, and the Allspark with him! Here's my chance to seize the Allspark and kill the Megatron of this era!"
Page 56: The Autobots all reformat themselves into old-school vehicles... so how exactly does Chevrolet benefit from this? They have a licensing deal with Dreamworks whereby they get to show off their latest car models in a big action movie. Other than Bumblebee's Camaro, there are no other modern-day Chevys seen anywhere in the movie. Can't be right, surely?
Page 57: Prime sends Bumblebee to drive to the Hoover Dam in Colorado. What a coicidence the Ark crashed within driving distance! Wouldn't it be quicker to split the Aerialbots up and have a couple of them stake out the dam whilst the rest travel to Egypt? Or even send Teletraan's Sky Spy to stake out the Dam?
Page 62: Sam's cellphone works. In the middle of the desert in the year 1982.
Page 63: Sam asks Mikaela to steal someone's wallet (and credit card)because there's 'something odd about him'. This being the same Sam who didn't notice anything odd about Alice. And who has now taken to comitting a felony just because someone looks a bit odd.
Page 69: Instead of heading up to the dam as ordered, Sam decides to go to a mall instead.
Page 81: I've head of stunning coincidences, but the fact that the first 1982 native that Sam meets is his own grandfather?!? This is just getting silly.
Page 92: How does Sam discover the name 'Vector Sigma'?
Page 93: So where did the jetissoned reactor land... oh, that's right, Area 51. Who'd have thought it - of all the places on the entire planet it could've landed...
Page 100: How did the Key to Vector Sigma get to Earth?
Page 106: What exactly is the nature of Mirage's holograms? I mean, couldn't Prime make a nice hologram of Cybertron in the first movie? Couldn't Barricade and Blackout make themselves some holgraphic pilots? If everyone can make holograms, then why is Mirage's power treated here as something special?
Page 114: The Allspark didn't 'seek out' Earth. As established in the first film, it was deflected there after hitting an asteroid.

I'm sorry, but there's probably loads more, but re-reading that abomination has turned my brains to yoghurt. Other off-hand things that spring to mind are the Decepticon ship - left completely unguarded for the Autobots to steal? Yeah, right! And another thing - would Bay really spend millions on a CGI model for Inferno, only to have him appear briefly for a single scene?

Rant over.

Yeah I noticed a lot of that crap too. What bothered me the most was the terrible dialog by Prime and the constant childish G1 references. Constantly!

AND THEN BOOM HERE COMES BRUTICUS

OPTIMUS: AERIAL BOTS DO YO THING BROTHAS!!

WOAH THEY LIKE TOTALLY TURN INTO SUPERION!!! THEN THEY FIGHT AND STUFF!!! SUPERION PUNCHES BRUTICUS!!!

SCENE CHANGE

OPTIMUS LOOKS JUST LIKE G1 PRIME BUT LIKE HE'S ALL WIERD LIKE THE OTHER MOVIES (you know what I mean)

THEN MEGATRON AND PRIME FIGHT A LITTLE AND STARSCREAM'S THERE TOO AND STUFF...

THEN KA-WOOSH HERE COMES UNCICRON!!! HE EATS MARS AND TURNS INTO GIANT ROBOT CHUNG CHUNG CHUNG (transforming sounds, duh)

SO THEN PRIME AND MEGATRON ARE FIGHTING... AND UNICRON TAKES DEAD FUTURE MEGATRON AND TURNS HIM INTO GALVATRON!!!

UNICRON: BEHOLD, GALVATRON!!! (just use Orson Wells old voiceover for this scene)

THEN GALVATRON AND PRIME MEGATRON AND STARSCEAM ARE ALL FIGHTING AND VROOOOOOOOOOM!!! HERE COMES RODIMUS PRIME!!!! WOAH!!!

THEY FIGHT OVER THE MATRIX AND STARSCREAM GETS IT AND THE CUBE AND COMBINE THEM TO FORM....
uh...

OH YA HE MAKES NEMESIS PRIME!!! DIDN'T SEE THAT ONE COMING!!!
