At this time, it seems to be aimed at the Malaysian Hasbro sector, due to the inclusion of "SDN BHD" (Sendirian Berhad), meaning "private limited" in Malay, and the name of the retailer Aeon. We do not know at this time whether or not it will expand outside of the Asian region, but as soon as we know, you will.

Too bad I will never, ever be able to participate to such a contest. Yup, Quebec again. Any sweepsake, drawings, or contests, or even random promos are completely forbidden in Quebec unless you pay some sort of fees and taxes at the Société Des Lotteries et des Jeux du Québec. Also, you must back up any prises you give by depositing the equivalent money ammount in their coffers, in case of any screw-ups of frauds.
Sure, this law does protect us from fake contests. Unfortunately, it mean most foreing contest will never bother dealing with that cumbersome law. Even when the "contest" is just to send a cuppon to get free stuff instantly! Like a free MTG card when you purchase the video game on XBLA. Oh well...
I expect that Jetfire to pop up on Ebay pretty soon... with a over 2000$ price tag.
BTW, Jetfire transform into a bus.

It's not the same thing in this case. Jetfire's white have been replace by a all silver chrome job. So, the all red chrome weapons make perfect sense here. Having way too much money in hand, I'd buy that Lucky Draw in a heartbeat!

Probably some law in that jurisdiction that makes asking a question to prove it's a contest with some "skill" involved and not completely random "gambling", but no law on how hard the question has to be.
Dumb, but not as dumb as Quebec's contest/giveaway laws apparently. Sheesh.

Do think the chrome is less annoying in person than in pics, but Hasbro did a kinda sloppy job with it that you notice if you get too close.

Not a sloppy job in a sense but shiny red chrome in the light spectrum, it glares to the human eyes...really uncomfortable. The alternative aside from purchasing the chrome remover is to wait in end of December 2014 for the Tomy version.

The guy who said he felt like a KO must be smoking some great stuff because Jetfire feel like a solid and high quality toy. Sure, he don't have the mass nor the level of engeneering of say, HOTD Leader Starscream. However, he feel solid, is perfect looking in both modes and is great fun to transform.
The chrome is not too bad in person and the hollows are a non-issue for me. Unless you love to stare at your TFs inner tighs (you sick perv, you.) or you remove his "null rays", the hollow bits remain hidden and don't take anything away from the overall look.
Was it worth the 60$+taxes I paid for? In my humble opinion, defenitely. I dunno if Jetfire is the first CHUG leader ever, but he's a win and defenitely worth owning.

Yeah, all the way. I mean what the hell? This is a mass retail 50-60$ figure. Not a limited 100-200$ MP or a 200-500$ Maccross Veritech, for crying out loud!

Verily. I own a Yamato 1/60 scale Perfect transform DYRL version ( same size as Leader Jetfire ). It's stock full of features, details and options. iirc, cost around $ 200.00 ++ almost 3 years ago. I have no complaints at the pricing. For those daring to compare it is like apples and oranges.

OHHH! Hah. No, I meant the black booster exhausts themselves. They swivel up and down for whatever reason. I knew why the jetpack moved, but it's thrusters move too, for whatever reason.

I personally prefer it left in vehicle mode. When it's swiveled up, it reminds me of IDW Stormbringer Jetfire, which is fine and all for some, but not me. This is G1 Skyfire and the robot mode pulls it off quite well. Those giant thrusters look doofy sticking straight up out of his back. So dumb.

Yah! Agreed. The thrusters in henkei Skyfire is more proportional in that the guns are collapsible. In the 30th (again, what could have been, maybe aside from the option to swivel, the ability to pull the housing backwards), those two thrusters reminds me of the extended "Main Guns" of the SDF -1.

Would 30th Jetfire look better if a special ed was released using this type of scramjets ( calling Tomy or Hasbro...another pocket hurting concept for you to squeeze the mold )?

If it's an exact fit, it can't be coincidence. Zoids is owned by Tomy, now part of TakaraTomy who does the sculpting for Transformers. They're not shy of cross-brand references.

That's not perfect, but I like it better than the boosers we got. It would have been awesome if they'd designed it so you could plug in the boosters from classics JF.
But in any case, the connection point for the boosters is too high for robot mode, that's the main issue and why it looks better with them swiveled down. Actually I think it looks wrong (a little too far back) in jet mode too, and both modes would have been improved if they'd just moved the connection point a tiny bit further down/forward, but these are just nitpicks.
The one thing that truly bothers me about the toy is the way the chest transforms requires a lot of force to get it fully into/out of jet mode, and it feels like more than those bars it's connected on will be able to take over time. Obviously not an issue for those that plan to keep it in one mode or another, but I'm not one of those people. I like to transform my Transformers!
Don't get me wrong, I still love it and don't feel it was a waste of money. Very glad I got it.

Yes. Seriously, every time I try to change the plane back to bot, it feels like the whole cockpit is going to snap off at the black part. I don't like that at all.

Yup. That part also concerns me big time! regardless if it's Tomy or Hasbro versions. It should have been made out of die-cast or something.

It's amazing how he looks like a different character with the accessories on, very cool. And I love the jet mode.
Got to kind of agree though with whoever said that the plastic feels a little on the light side.
Other than the small deco differences, do Hasbro and Takara something use materials of different quality?

Like most everyone else, I think it would have been better if they had left off the chrome and instead used a bit of black paint on the weapons. (I had briefly considered getting the Takara version, but I just could not justify the extra cost.) But having it in hand, while not my absolute favorite deco choice, it isn't the end of the world.
I'm not usually too much in the "No wrist swivels = worst toy ever!" camp... But on a figure this large, and where there seems to be no big reason to admit it (such as if the way the figure transformed had made such a feature difficult to implement) it really sticks out in its absence. (Especially since the 2006 figure had wrist swivels!)
Still... Overall a great figure. And even as someone who loved the 2006 figure, this one blows it away. Still doesn't compare to, say, a Yamato/Arcadia 1/60 VF-1, but for a domestic mass market retail figure, wrist swivels aside I don't see it being much better then this!
Here he is with some friends:
Left to right: 2006 Voyager Jetfire (with Reprolabels), 2014 Leader Jetfire, the VF-1S Valkyrie mold upon which the original Jetfiire toy was based (sadly sans Super armor, which I do not have), and a Yamato 1/60 VF-1S Roy TV Version with Super armor.
