If you mean the whole show I wouldn't put it past Machinima's level of fail. They don't get the basics behind 'merch cartoons' which you'd think anyone with a braincell would have figured out.

All that being said however, this wasn't the most terrible episode from recent weeks.
Grimlock" "Are we there yet?" (Just 2 more weeks buddy and it will be over. Yay!)
Optimus Primal- Can do what no other Prime or Titan Can -Punch gods in their face.
Rodimus Unicronus (I see you heheh...)
I was actually hoping all those flaming piles would be those characters end, but somehow I don't think I'm going to get that satisfaction.

Why watch it then? I’m not trying to be argumentative I really asking.
If I don’t like something I don’t watch it. I didn’t like RID so I never comeplety watched it. Only episodes that looked interesting but in the end I watched maybe 5 episodes and that i don’t feel obligated to ever watch the entire series.
So for anyone why are you watching this series if you dont like it? Is it to join in on bashing it with other strangers ons message board? What’s the reason because I legitimately don’t get it.

Prime Wars is what's new, and current, and what is worth discussing (good or bad). Trust me, most people are refraining. If this series were good, it'd have way more posts than it currently does. And you may think I'm being negative, but go back and see all the posts that could rightfully be considered spam. I agree saying "This Sucks", doesn't help or add anything. Saying why someone feels so, which I try to do, and admittedly may not be perfect at, is more important.
I can fairly confidently say, I REALLY wanted this to be good. CW had great potential for an awesome animated series, it just failed to execute on so many levels, and it just keeps on going. I know it wont get better, but with 2 episodes left, really, what else (other than IDW which is ending) is there currently going on in Transformers Media?

Personally kills time at work, plus I want to complete the series, and it's a great way to stay in shape.

Generally I enjoy TF animation (more so than the comics), and it pains me because I know that with better writers, staff, production budget, animation etc... a better product can be produced. Sure I could go back and watch the Original Animated series for the 800th time, Beast Wars for the 100th time, RiD for the 25th time, Prime for the 15th time etc... but after years and years, there really isn't much new to glean from those series, as much as I enjoy most of them.

But who says you have to though? And you are you being really negative. Your own post ended with you hoping all the ones that were attacked by Meagtronus died. Or that you’re saying you didn’t want to watch it before bed because you didn’t want it to ruin your sleep.
Nobody is making you watch it. You’re forcing yourself to watch something you don’t like to what? Complain? Join the crowd of haters? I don’t get it man. If you don’t like something just do not give it your time. You don’t. Have to see everything transformers. Plenty of people have admitted they don’t watch the movies because they don’t like them. Dropped the comics for reasons or just stopped collecting the toys because they don’t like them or just grew it if playing with toys.

Had they adapted Combiner Wars we could have had a show centered around various ensemble cast of combiner teams which used them both as individual characters and as an excuse to show giant combining robots punching each others as well as doing mix-and-match combinations which could have made for some neat fight scenes where colossal robots duke it out, lose limbs and the damaged robots just jump off the combiner while the limbs without a torso attach themselves to the combiner to keep it fighting.
Had Titans Return been adapted stand alone? We would essentially more or less ended up with The Rebirth but presumably better, complete possibly with Powermaster Optimus Prime making a debut in animated form (not counting Ginrai, of course) since he's the biggest Optimus toy on the line. Possibly it could have featured Overlord, Black Sky Shadow and/or Sixshot in major villain roles.
How wrong is it that a more direct adaptation of the toyline as a shameless commercial could have ended up with more potential than this mess?

My opinion exactly too. I watch it all cause I am a transformers fan and it gives me proper reasons to critique it too cause I see what I don't like and what could be better in my eyes.
And it's something to watch. Don't have anything else going on at the moment

Well, based on the fact that Perceptor tried to move the matrix and couldn't and Unicron is now here to destroy the enigma, I feel confident in guessing that at the end of next episode, Rodimus Unicronus will be about to destroy the matrix and then the episode will end with Primal lunging for it, and in the final episode, he turns into Optimal Optimus, defeats Unicron, purifies Rodimus, and Megatron kills Megatronus, or Solus drags Megatronus into the afterspark with her

I dont get what the big deal is, the person didnt know much about Solus Prime and thought 'he' was a keeper of the forge like Hephaistos. Although they did mix up greek and Norse mythology. Its not like the name Solus Prime is indicative of the bot's sex.

So, does this now repurpose Rodimus Unicronus as a toy for Unicron himself? The smaller Nemesis Hot Rod/Rodimus Cron form has been depicted as his own character up to this point, but now we're shown that the evolved Rodimus Unicronus form is one in which Unicron himself is squarely in the driver's seat.
You know, if all Primal needed to do was place his hands on the Matrix and grab it, why did he instead first decide to just start carelessly punching the thing like a brutish oaf when he knows that the Matrix, like the Requiem Blaster, is a sacred relic that should be treated with care?
Well, color me surprised. I honestly didn't think this show had it in itself to actually advertise a certain specific POTP toy. Though the title of this episode is incredibly misleading since one would think that this event would be the titular focus rather than what a title like "Megatronus Unleashed" would suggest.
He's even got correctly-colored green eyes despite the toy's incorrectly-colored red eyes. Props to that.
Parts of Unicronus's CG model's back just kinda disappear when he gets flipped back by Primal. Weird.
You know, I just might be willing to call this the most decent episode of the whole trilogy. At least since Megatron's debut episode back in CW. Or since Starscream's honestly decent CW Prelude (before we found out it was a lie, that is).

They did the whole split screen things in the final couple episodes of the last series, too. Super random and out of place, exactly what you described.

Were I to have been more politically-correct (or whatever the expression is these days), I'd've said something like "devout G1 fans who hold a cynical and/or disdainful view towards anything that isn't from the 1980s G1 era simply for its being 'not G1' or 'not true Transformers' to them", but such was more of a mouthful to type and "Geewun fanboys" got the message across more simplistically (and cheekily).

This series has dozens of problems, but that isn't one of them. Honestly, to me, this makes about as much sense as getting angry that Optimus from the aligned continuity got turned into a train in Transformers Go! - This Prime Wars series is such a niche thing, and will (hopefully) be quickly forgotten after next week.
It'll be remembered as that thing hasbro tried. Question is will they have another attempt with the next few toy lines (but with different staff) or just leave it. I'm all for another attempt, even in the hope that they'll have learned from this.

Some recommendations:
1. No Web Series
2. No CG (a traditional looking animated series or short film would be great)
3. Go BIG or go home (none of this small budget cut-rate stuff). I was completely unaware that you could pay Tatsunoko (apparently) to produce something so awful looking
I would love to see Hasbro fund a fully animated 70-80 minute film in a similar vein to Warner's DC Animated films (which come out regularly 3 per year). I mean the last one they released, Predacons Rising, was really good. Sure it was an addendum to an already concluded series, but its one of the best most enjoyable bits if TF animation to come along in quite a while.
I think "War For Cybertron" (whatever the storyline) would lend itself very well to a single animated film.

What could be interesting with animated movies is that they could really experiment, be it in artstyle, setting, characters or even continuity: some movies could be direct sequels while others could be standalone endeavors. There could be just as much room for G1 stuff (both in 'almost cartoon' continuity/style like the Devastation game and in more loosely-based-off-G1 manners like Machinima) to please the geewunners as there could be room for new continuity or revisiting older ones for the sake of fanservice like, say oh I don't know, an Animated feature film set years after the ending? Or even something as lighthearted as a Kreo comedy film. Yes I'm aware all of this is fanboy wetdream but to me the potential exist to try and do interesting and unique things without needing to commit to a full TV serie.
As for toyline: an 'animated movie' subline to Generations would do just fine if they really need to 'sell toys' with those movies. Alternatively these could be movies directly based off what's in the Generations line at the time as the idea is not inherently bad: Machinima simply misused it. Given that nowadays Generation is 50/50 classic characters and less-famous-late-G1-chumps this could very well be a chance for said chumps to make their animation debut.
The third major option and most unlikely: adapting specific arcs/stories from the Marvel (both US and UK) comics and even some IDW stuff, even if loosely. A 'Wreckers Movie' pretty much write itself, after all. Alternatively some pre-War stuff loosely based off the stories presented in Marvel, Dreamwave or IDW.

Just 10 random ideas, not all of which I would necessarily would be excited to see, but just throwing stuff out there, and I'd definitely support Blu Ray releases of:
1. Marvel Comics Underbase saga
2. A "Post Rebirth" continuation of the Sunbow animated series
3. A TF Movie featuring Death's Head (inspired by UK Comics)
4. A "Return of Convoy: Operation Combination" film
5. A Film set After Beast Machines
6. A Film set after season 3 of TF: Animated
7. An adaptation of DW War Within
8. A MTMTE/LL film
9. A Wreckers film
10. A Shattered Glass Film

Pretty much this. They've been banking on the known names of celebrities rather than putting effort into trying to actually make the story, dialogue direction, and animation good.Burn wrote:Maybe instead of throwing money at well known celebrities to lend their voices for very little dialogue, they could put more money to finding some writers that can actually write dialogue.
