The minibot two-pack featuring Bomber and Hover is scheduled to release in mid October, priced at 3,150 yen (approximately $42.00).
They have also posted some additional images of their "Tank" upgrade for Reveal the Shield/United Optimus Prime that were not in the update from earlier this morning. They list the figure at 8,400 Yen (approximately $110.00) with a release date of late November.
Lastly, the group shot with all the known Maketoy projects reveals a mysterious new prototype in the background.

Also, I hope that the thing about Giant's colour being yellow is just a mistake. For Giant I'll be waiting for the box set I'm just not feeling the price of 65 dollars for each figure.

Smart move to do two-packs for these guys, but it's a little more than I would've liked (if you compare to FansProject's Bruticus upgrade sets, they came out at about $100 for the set).
Having the major projects line up 4 months in a row is a little disheartening to my wallet, but I guess that's just a rant I'll have to live with. But the Prime trailer is a must for me, may have to wait for Giant.

I think I'll be sticking with the Hercules set.
It's a bit pricey for the mini-bots, but I will be getting that Powerglide!
I like the Prime upgrade. I may get that, but I'm not that into the original figure, so I'll probably wait and hope the price comes down.
All in all this looks like good 3rd party stuff!

I can read Japanese and it is "yellow'. So now I have to go out and find green paint.

i was holding out on Hercules for this model but the tiny head sculpt really bugs me. I would get Hercules but...DAMN...it's expensive.
I think a house is a much better investment than toys.
bloody hell!

Could be. But since the G2 version of Devastator was yellow and the TFC release will be green, they may decide a yellow release as an homage to G2 makes more sense.

That Prime upgrade kit is SO bought on sight (it's a done deal as far as I'm concerned, so doesn't bear further deliberation), and that 2 pack minicon will be passed on - I'm waiting for the Xtransbots Powerglide, and have preordered iGear's Seaspray.
Unless that is a VERY rough prototype, I dunno if I'm interested in whatever the hell that other figure is - looks a bit too 'bad parts of Armada/Cyberton' - ish at the moment.

if each figure was around $45-60 buck then I can understand but $100 per fig is robbery!
When you start looking at what you get in a masterpiece and compare it to a Hercules limb/figure.....it just doesn't make any sense.
I don't have an issue with money but I cannot justify spending $100 per limb/figure that do not have the caliber or fit and finish like a masterpiece.
now if each of these figures were of masterpiece quality then I can see spending $100 per fig justified.
yes i'm ranting!

i totally agree with you on this matter. look at (rotf) buster prime.....he was about 40-50 bucks. dotm jetwing prime is 200 bucks!....so youre telling me that the jetpack is going to cost an extra 150 bucks! so
prime=50 bucks
jetpack=150 bucks
thats highway robbery.
anyways back on topic. i still think herc looks better than giant so im going to go with herc. but i already bought rts prime for that dope add on trailer. done deal

The question is who's to blame? I believe these are more like $60 over in shops in China. The Hercules figs are being marked up a helluva lot more than the MP fig is. But either way, depending on where you buy, a full Hercules is practically the same price as two MP-10s (rk.com: 78*6=468 for Herc 228*2=456 for two MP.) Personally, I think Hercules is at least twice as impressive as MP-10.
Posted by RodimalToyota on October 3rd, 2011 @ 3:47pm CDT
Not sure how everyone else's is, but mine is worth every penny, it's nice to move him around with out the joints going loose like the MP stuff.
Posted by RodimalToyota on October 3rd, 2011 @ 3:53pm CDT
MP Prime = 175
MP Grimlock = 175
MP Megatron = 150
MP Hot Rodimus = 215
MP SS and TC = 200 ea
MP New OP = 250
Buster Prime was 125+ new
Jet wing OP = 200
Cheap MP? Two of them and your almost to Hercules.

At $136 for a set of 2 that rounds out to $68 a figure. Add on shipping and whatever profit BBTS or TF Source needs to make and youre looking at $150 a set which is no bargin. Although I must admit a yellow G2 Devastator to display in combiner mode and the TFC versions displayed individually sounds tempting.
I want that G2 Prime trailer definatally. Pass on their versions of the mini-bots. No guns and powerglide has a big ass head.

Tank has more functions than a swiss army knife. Which very very cool.
Giant being yellow does not bother me. Nor does Giant's neccessary extra bits being separate (so long as they kinda tastefully blend in). But then, I can't get enough of the big guy.
A classics Fallen? Sweet! I hope he actually turns into something interesting, and not a twisted up mess with a beak.
Posted by dinogeist on October 3rd, 2011 @ 5:12pm CDT
Either that 3RD Party "The fallen" is a really huge $27 usa ultra sized 8+inch robot mode. or the RTS Prime with the trailer armor attached to the robot mode is still super tiny in height.

I'm pleased to see the colors on Powerglide look a lot better now too. I can't wait to get those little guys.
The G2 Prime set looks great. I'm glad to see that the Drift sword and Prime sword are separate. I feared the Prime sword was just a skirt when the initial pictures were released. It also appears that the fingers of the upgrade kit of articulation. Not individually, but they are closed tighter than the pics on the other thread. Very cool.
I'm committed to the other figure as well without even knowing who he is. The Fallen looks like a solid choice though.

ooking at these two together im easily going the mt route.while tfclub has the bulk im really liking the aesthetic of mt's version. also he seems way more posable as he doesnt have a massive chunk of kibble hanging off of his back.
edit; is it me or do those arms seem to take design cues from warcry/munitioner? and those are some posable arms

Pass!
Neither the Hercules or maketoys devestator interest me & I can't justify spending $300 to $600 on this combined toy. the character isn't on my top 10 updated homage new mold list.
Regarding maketoys devestator,
Why go thru the trouble of creating smaller sized constructicons than hercules. if your gonna charge the same price or more than hercules??
I suspose to some size scale matters & maketoys devestator is their favorite. I just don't know that many willing to spend higher prices than 3rd party hercules.
Personally,I like the maketoys devestator more than the Hercules one. i'm all about size scale & these maketoys constructicons look to be deluxes or tall basics.
I don't understand why they'd pick a less desirable color scheme for their 3rd party devestator, like G-2 Yellow. the majority of transformers fans love the 1984 iconic lime green devestator colors the best.
Granted I can sorta understand later on. milking the mold for more cash by creating limited run color variations like G-2 Yellow,G-2 Oroange,Diaclone multi colors,etc...
My guess is 3rd party hercules might do a few color variations later on in limited production numbers. maybe even a huge gift set later on.
Personally with the price & colors of maketoys devestator. I don't see that many selling thus I don't see any recolors or gift sets being made afterwards.

I was wrong earlier about who the mystery prototype is, I agree that it looks more like the Fallen.
As for the Scavengers, I prefer a the blocky voyager sized one over the skinny scout sized one. Plus, when they are combined TFC's Devastator will be massive and tower over the rest of the classics toys (which he should because he is a gestalt) but the MT version will only be as tall as the Energon/Superlink combiners which are about as tall as a leader class toy. I do think that the MT version looks great, but I prefer larger gestalt toys (I know G1 gestalts were not that tall, but I wished they were).
