I also mentioned the same thing in this thread earlier in the day wondering if I missed it since it was first listed as "Out of Stock", then TRU changed the status to "back-ordered" and added the "add to cart" option late last night or in my case really early in the morning.

Ive never bought any figures online. I wonder why anyone would order a figure that is going to be sold in retail ??? Theyre will probally be tons of them lying around like the recent Unicron re-issue.

Because

1) Not Everyone lives close to retail
2) Online can get things faster
3) Some people only buy online
4) Avoids Scalpers
5) There won't probably be tons of them lying around like Universe Unicron because this is a figure most people in North America don't have yet.

That is what I would like to know I checked the order status and it is showing Item(s) on hold until release date: 07 / 20 / 10

I guess that means it actually came out yesterday and should be shipping anytime now but with TRU track record (at least from my experience as a consumer and former employee) I wouldn't be surprised if they have no idea what they are actual talking about

Ok I looked at the order status' and it is saying that what that means is it is on hold from the date ordered until the ship date my bad

How did you get charged for this when TRU claims they only charge your order when it ships (much like many pre-orders on other sites like BBTS)

I've been charged for the ones I ordered as well. I think some companies like TRU and HTS will place a charge authorization on your credit card to see if the buyer has the funds available. In most cases the authorization will drop off in a few days and they will charge you when the item ships.

As I LOVE the hunt in stores!!! This is my first order online! I know he'll be tough to find... I took too many 30 minute trips to toysrus to only find Arcee hour and half away!!! LUCKILY. Also Scalpers will tear this guy apart he'll be 100 bucks online very soon I bet considering the only other way to get him is spending 150 to 200+ for Takara Masterpiece. Hell Unicron was gone pretty fast! (wish I bought it!!) Unicrons bring easily 70 bucks (average.) on ebay shipped. An that's a Unicron... considering if you want Grimlock and have the chance to pay 56 bucks online now. !! done!!

Only wish the code worked for order placed with two in cart!!!!

Yeah, I didn't save the link but someone had a BIN auction for the Hasbro Grimlock for 150 bucks. I could see them scalping hard, but that is insane! Also getting scalped bad is the TRNS figures, Those are crazy. But yes, I can easily see the price skyrocket on the bay.

I received a backorder email as well and as of this writing my order still has a "pending inventory" on it. I placed the order when it was listed at $59.99 but I didn't get the chance to use the $10 off code. Here's hoping that TRU is not in the process of canceling ALL orders placed at the lower price so they can make a few more bucks.

For the record. I never saw universe Unicron. TRU exclusives here get swiped up fast. That being said, I think I will take my chances on finding this in stores. I havn't even been bothered to open my Takara MP grim that i've had since release.

Hey good news my order status went form waiting for inventory to Item located in stock, estimated shipping date is saying between 08/09/10 and 08/12/10.
