Lego announced the Transformers Optimus Prime Lego Set 10302 today and many reviews were ready to go. Below we have more images of the set showing the new pieces made for it (most are simply in colours we did not get before). There is no US listing yet but the word on the street says this toy will be available in Lego Stores June 1st for $170 USD. With there being 1508 pieces, this price comes out to the standard 10 cents per piece + licensing premium, the same we see with Star Wars sets. We also found a video review that we are sharing with you below.

While many Lego fans have expressed anticipation for the novelty of this set both in terms of it being the first Transformers Lego set and this being transformable, Transformers fans are mixed on the toy due to lack of knee articulation and headsculpt. You will let us know what you think!

Pretty sure this is a one-and-done deal. Though I certainly wouldn't mind future collaborations between the two companies, even outside Transformers! I love when companies stop competing against each other and actually cooperate to give us something awesome.

Man,he is huge,I don't hink there many lego sets he can interact with,but as a stand alone toy he looks great.

Yes, the socket brick is debuting with the tallneck lego set, and the mouth plate part may be entirely new - I don't keep up with new parts and parts in new colors very strictly though

And I was curious, so I checked up on you, and they did mention it in their review and photographed the new part. I didn't take much note of it at the time since there are a lot of unusual parts and colors in the Botanicals Collection.

That's cool, thanks. I don;t really buy much lego unless it can further my mecha moc's (which meant double dipping on the ninjago megazord for more of those new ratchet joints) but I fully intend to grab this and see if i can upgrade it

Looks like it just come out a little over a week ago and already sold out everywhere but eBay for double the price. I'll have to check a few local stores and see if ones around, I don't exactly trust store local stock checkers online.

I found regular retail listings for the Tallneck at Walmart, Target, Amazon and B&N, all sold out. I haven't seen anything suggesting it's an exclusive.

I wasn't expecting much when this rumor started...
But I'm interested for sure.
This is a pretty cool looking set.
it's a little unfortunate that the print for the eyes is a bit too high on that tile.
But still, I'm definitely interested in this.

The problem is that it's sitting on a special plate that raises it a little, the print actually take up the entire height of the plate. I dislike it too, but its something that I can easily swap out, just not sure is that'll look any better though

Tailneck is not an exclusive. And we don't know about Optimus yet.

Well I knew target stores stock random 18+ sets, but I didn't want people to think it was gonna get a wider release than it is, seems tallneck is being stocked by retailers online, but is not being sold in stores (save lego stores) just yet, if ever. But you are right
