However Hasbro would do wise to release this bad boy States side. Since most everyone in Japan and a lot of people in America were disgusted by the colors and Takara's seeming refusal to change them, Hasbro could get a fair deal of international sales on this one. Of course, they'd probably have to do a bunch of bizarre things like shorten the missiles or something due to U.S. safety standards.
Maybe it's Takara pulling its head out of its hole-in-the-ground and releasing him in his original colors. Here's to hoping.

Then again I could be wrong and look like a complete dufus.

It's not like the question won't be asked 10,000 times at BotCon.
...by me.

That pretty much sums it up.
Oh, and I'm cheap.

He said it's the American version and will be sold.
I believe him. It's the real deal, not a custom or a fake.

but it could also be a cheap test shot of the colors or somthing, because obviously some of the plastic is moulded in new colours, perhaps they are testing out the paint scheme.
Anyways I hope they release it, hoping even more they remove all that black lining all over his body, include the crown and cape, and remould his feet and legs to be more true to the original. (stascream had iconic and unique feet)
also I hope they do all the seekers, hat would be cool, I wont buy all of them but there are legions of fans who will.

I must say, if this is the quality of the actual toy, I'm not impressed.
And why does he look so disproportioned in Picture 8?
Oh and why is he not transformed properly in Half the pictures?
???
So many questions...

The plastic is quite transparent in the intakes and they are red right through. Same with the grey-white areas. What I mean is the light can pass through it. If it were a repaint of the original figure, this would not be occuring.
The canopy looks close to the original MP-03 but seems a touch more amber. The insignia on the figure is inverse and is wider than normal. It is also mistransformed. The legs are not pulled all the way out.
Also these are taken on grubby looking white tiles.
Odd pic out.
There is one shot of an MP-03 repaint also. It stands infront of the box. That figure is properly transformed the insigna are not inverted and they are the narrower. The figure has the MP-03 green-blue where the feet are hindged and swivel.
My thoughts: The first one may be the real deal, but in light of where it was taken, I suspect knock off. The other pic is a repaint.

I think the first, with the slightly see-through plastic, is either real or KO. And if it's a KO, it's a damn good one...
The one in front of the box is obviously a repaint.
I hope they tone down the battle damage for the release.

Custom job. He made the unfortunate mistake of showing it with the Takara box in the background.

Ah I didn't notice the differences in pic 7 and the others. You're right. Pic 7 is a repaint, the others may be the real deal.
I still wish Hasbro would've chosen to release the prototype with his tail wings on his legs instead of on the swivel posts. It was more true to the original.

The hand on the one I imported fell apart. I found all the parts but the trigger finger, and that realy takes away from him.
So when this guy comes out, he stayes in the box, and now I have a beater!

I'm not sure how to make it clickable, but the news about Mp Anime Starscream's arrival should be on the home page.

I think there is a high chance this is legit.
I'm going to trust S250 on this one.

Didn't they say they lightened up this mold abit for the SkyWarp redeco with clearer parts and piping?
Maybe Starscream turned out being a repaint of SkyWarp who's a repaint of StarScream

Posted by CyberTooth on June 23rd, 2007 @ 10:26pm CDT

I hope like everything that we see the mold released through Hasbro looking very much like this, however, until Botcon roles around I'll have my reservations.
