Another update from our awesome site sponsor RobotKingdom, gives us another look at a nifty third party item. Soundwave has taken the form of many modern hand-held items, now it's his time to try being a recorder! Made by the company BTS, we've got more images of the popular Decepticon, albeit in prototype form. Armed to the teeth, and certainly takes after Soundwave, be sure to put your pre-orders in at RobotKingdom.com, if you're interested. Check out the new stuff below!

Are you sure about that?
Looks more like a handheld dictaphone to me.
The proportions on this guy are way off. Elbows are two high and he either has no knees or they're right under his bum.
When they announced this I said they'd never capture the bulkiness of the original art.

Instead, it's going to pre-order for close to $100 and it's just not good enough for that price.

...from Target, Walmart, ToysRUs, or even HTS.com. This just doesn't work. With WFC Soundwave still in stores and Music Label still available cheaper (not to mention everything Fansproject has ever done) this thing just isn't worth it.

I've got to agree with CP here, it's not good enough. The bar is set pretty high with third party companies these days and I don't believe there is room for all of them to start making their own figures. Maybe BTS should stick to weapon sets, their last one was pretty cool.

Isn't the vast majority of 3rd party products stolen designs?

It worked for Two And A Half Men, don't see why it wouldn't work for a toy.

I have to admit that I'm a bit surprised. Most folks on here seem to be dumping a level of negativity on this toy that I normally spew forth in some of my rants. That's saying something since I've been such a grouchy **** lately.
I actually happen to like the looks of this toy. I'm glad to see that the second post about it went up showing more detail of his face. That was my only minor complaint about it previously but seeing it close up it doesn't look so bad. I don't know if I would go so far as to exclude this from the ranks of the Classics/G1 replacements display. Being a 3rd party item I wouldn't consider it an official replacement anyways but I wouldn't leave it off my shelf. I think some of you guys are being even more anal and judgmental than even I tend to be but that is entirely your right.

Honestly, I kinda feel that way. I want a to like this figure, but the G1 cassette compatibility makes it look bad.
I wish they would have gone ahead and made their own cassette figures for it and made the chest more form fitting.
