We all know Skyfire was bigger than most autobots back in the G1 show, but do you remember how much he truly towered over everyone? We have some images from the show below for reference to show that this new Siege Jetfire toy is playing for keeps with Hasbro delivering us a bot which is truly in scale. Or is he too big? You'll let us know. The images come from @Chohenken on Twitter where we can see both the robot mode and alt mode. We only see him with his Macross style face though. These were taken at Wonder Festival 2019 Winter in Japan.

Here is the product description as well:
The WFC-S28 JETFIRE figure stands at 11 inches in robot mode and converts into a Cybertronian aircraft. JETFIRE figure comes with 2 JF-25 HS Photon Missile Sky Launchers, 2 HS Photon Missiles, 2 JF-15 HP Jetboost Particle Beam Cannon, 2 SF-M2 Radiograph Boosters, Skyshield Aerial Armor, and Skyshield Battle Mask accessories. Use weapon and armor accessories to convert figure to C.O.M.B.A.T. READY mode. Figure features multiple C.O.M.B.A.T. System weapon ports to attach weapons, enabling custom configurations in bot and vehicle modes. JETFIRE has a special feature where Deluxe figures’ (each sold separately, subject to availability) attach to jet mode so fans can imagine them being deployed into battle from above. Adult fans nostalgic for the original TRANSFORMERS animation and kids discovering classic characters for the first time can share and experience exciting play patterns for all generations.

I am in actual awe at the size of this lad. He's huge, has semi posable fingers, awesomely detailed and painted. As long as he's not hollow then there's no doubt in my mind he's worth $80. Amazing start for the commander class.

Is it just me, or does anyone else think that this Jetfire beats out the third party options in both modes? Probably not just aesthetically, but the articulation might also be on par if he has a waist swivel and ankle tilt. Heck, his hands open and I didn't even need it. The armor just seals the deal. This is like when Hasbro made a Sixshot in TR that was superior to the third party options. For this Jetfire, 80$ is a steal :x

well, skyfire looks better than he did in the 3D renders. Lack of antennas on the helmet bothers me less on the actual toy than it does on the render. still didn't stop me from wanting it upon first seeing the renders though.
Also speaking of the backpack there do appear to be what seems to be a pair doors seen behind the head and what looks like another hinge above that (could just be me looking at the greebling funny for all I know).

So far I love everything about this figure though I'm hoping that there isn't an issue with the tabbing on the nose cone.

Holy crap, Jetfire looks nice. I was on the fence before, but this just sealed the deal. Not a fan of the big size of him, but if he can carry micromasters in him, I'll gladly have that. And thank god they toned down the battle damage on Soundwave's chest door

Slammer could totally exist as a reshell of Brunt if Hasbro ever felt like doing him. Alternatively there is Impactor if they don't want to make him a regular figure and not a weaponizer for some reason.

Looks impressive. Now this explains why Hasbro announced the figures before toyfair... didn’t want the wonderfest reveals to steal their thunder which might’ve happened in the past.

I've still got a feeling those black guns on the wing tips can double as the helmet antennae. They're probably not showing that off to further distances themselves from the whole mess over Hasbro's problematic use of a Macross toy in G1.

That's a sticker like the one across his chest. I guess the Autobot insignia is just to show that it's a Transformer same like with the live action movies. And I guess it's just for the team who installs the display.

That Jetfire is way too tall.... Why Hasbro didn't release a Commander class Deathsaurus, Thunderwing or even Star Saber who was that height is anyone's guess. But I would've bought them in a heartbeat.

Anyway, Starscream, Soundwave and Brunt are all day one purchases. Can't wait for'em.

He was in the G1 cartoon which is the aesthetic their going with here.

We already have shorter Jetfires like the classics and Thrilling 30 figures but we dont really have tall Jetfire figures.

There is your why

Jetfire/Skyfire is supposed to be this big. Bigger depending what episode of G1 you are looking at.

Hound and Spike exit from his crotch in one episode.
Ratchet and Huffer climb on his jet mode in another.

He's supposed to be quite large.

Nope. The average Supreme class height was about 15 inches tall. This Jetfire being 11 inches puts him roughly a half inch shorter than the likes of the CW/UW/POTP Combiners, Armada Tidal Wave, and Beast Machines Ultra class Nightscream.

See, that sounds perfect for me. He should be just a bit shorter than a combiner! Man, it will be nice to have another figure which is properly big, but isn't a combiner or a titan.

True. I think the best figures to compare would be the old Super class figures of Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus from RiD 2001 (Car Robots Super Fire Convoy and God Magnus).

Nah, Thunderwing should just be a repaint of TR skyshadow and maybe give him a deluxe figure to pretend to be his inner/use as a weaponiser. Starsaber already has MP at that scale which still fits the siege/classics toyline as its a bit of an oddity with the more traditional early series G1 MPs. It's only a matter of time for Deathsauras as it looks like every series is getting some representation between Siege and Legends.

Still keeping my cyber battalion jetfire as it fits on my shelves but will definitely get rid of my classics with the new one coming out (who will probably have to stand next to the MPs anyways). I've not the faintest where Omega is going to go.

I'd argue it'd probably work a little better if they made Star Saber in this size class, then retool Thunderwing out of Star Saber. Plus, it gives a more accessible Star Saber figure that doesn't cost all that much.

We know their heights, they interacted with characters we have toys of. They would all be leader class or something along that line. Commander class for any would be beyond dumb since they wouldnt be able to interact with other characters we already have. Jetfire and Skylynx are the only ones that work at commander class.

The only one I wouldnt have guessed would be the dinosaur casettes. The rest, sure, its all retools anyway. I feel confident in saying if we do have galaxy shuttle, it wont be commander class. I dont mind being proven wrong though. Of course people can always hope, like they did for a G2 devastator redeco of the titan class toy, and for a redeco of metroplex into metrotitan and for a correct liokaiser that uses the same combiner wars system ect.

I mentioned before, the only "big" G1 Decepticons, along the lines of Jetfire, were the Triple Changers. A Cybertronian Astrotrain would be pretty nice.

I mean, galaxy shuttle looks suspiciously like what a re-imagined armada jetfire could look like, just saying now that we know this is coming...

The web of repaint-ability sprawls even wider

(Now, that's not to say that an armada jetfire is even coming, but they do look similar, and I wouldn't put it past TT at least to repurpose an armada jetfire as galaxy shuttle)

Ah yes, very much so. Was thinking of G1, but yeah thats good.

I mentioned before, the only "big" G1 Decepticons, along the lines of Jetfire, were the Triple Changers. A Cybertronian Astrotrain would be pretty nice.

Only problem would be that we're hamstrung by bot mode size, and if I recall right, Blitzwing and Astrotrain aren't much bigger then Megatron. So only way we could get them at commander is if we could condense massive alt modes to voyager sized bots.

Yeah. Other than Gestalts, most of the Big bots (Omega Supreme, Jetfire, Sky Lynx) were purely Autobot. Tidal Wave or Beast Machines Jetstorm are the only real exceptions, yet as noted by Will, they aren't G1.

What if they repaint/remold Jetfire in colors homaging Cybertron Jetfire's Decepticon alter ego/disguise Sky Shadow as a G1 version of Sky Shadow as an actual Decepticon? With a new head and such resembling Cybertron Jetfire.

Don't know if there are any other remold things they could do to make him look closer but I think it's a neat idea, although I love Cybertron Jetfire's colors they probably wouldn't make much sense as an Autobot

I think just one of these jetfires will be enough for me but possible redecos could be half orange/blue as Safegaurd (would kind of look G2ish by colour scheme alone) or a seperate repaint each for animateds jetfire/jetstorm. that or another evil/black version with goatee.
