Starscream commands one of the most fearsome military units from Cybertron: the Seekers. The squadron has brought him great power and glory, but that means nothing as long as Megatron is the one who rules the Decepticons. Until Starscream can claim that throne, he will have to be content to be king of the Seekers.
The war between Autobot and Decepticon rages on, and with Starscream in the fight, the action gets more intense all the time! This awesome Starscream figure is a massive force for evil in robot mode with a blaster on each arm and an appetite for destruction. But when it’s time for a screaming air assault, he converts to jet mode! Get ready for a whole new generation of Transformers mayhem with this incredible Starscream figure!

I'm a little tired of MP seekers right now though. Been meaning to buy that Takara MP-11SW for awhile and my finger can't pull the trigger.

There are rumors of both a Leader class starscream from theThundercracker retool, and an American release of MP-11 Starscream.

i think we're getting two starscreams, and one is not to be confused with another.
-evidence for MP SS is the product code
-evidence for leader SS is the IDW cover solicits, similar bio of leader TC, and the bio was found under CW leader headline of TRU website

I have the original mp3 and whilst he's an excellent figure his colour scheme is a let down plus i managed to break one of his null rays. So i might be in the market for a new one, however I don't think i could justify the outlay since i have all the combiners to get still.
re the generations starscream.. i think it will be amongst the few i will purposely skip. the classics mould is enough for me and i have the jet fire one.
obviously i might change my mind once they release him

I think he might mean the TRU tax. That's what a lot of people call their inflated prices. You have to pay more just because it's TRU and why not.
I will be very excited if this is MP-11. I would like to upgrade my SS to the design it should have had in the first place.

Yeah that's what i'm kinda worried about because I remember it was either you, or razorclaw who said it was actually cheaper to pay import prices for MP prowl.

I think I snagged TRU Prowl when it was on sale for 30-something. Plus, they duplicated my order internally and accidentally sent me 2. Now that was a good deal!

Yeah it was about $58 shipped from HLJ for the Takara one iirc, plus I had it a full 18 months or so before the TRU release. At TRU it was $69.99 plus sales tax.

Why? I mean, to each their own, but Mp-3 is vastly inferior to the Mp-11 mold.

MP-11 is only good for his bot mode. The flaws begin with the jet mode who suffer a bit. I don't like his undetachable null rays. His chest no longer lock into place. Way too expensive for nothing. No face changing gimmick. It also feel somewhat cheaper.
The original sure had an inperfect bot mode, but the chest lock in, face change, null rays are more manageable, and the jet is FLAWLESS. I kinda regret having sold my MP-03 G1 colors for MP-11. At least, I have MP-03G. I'd like to have Greenscream because he's the very FIRST MP Starscream and I need it for my Screamers collection.

true dat kan. MP03 was completely functional, and flawless in both modes. just not the SS we wanted. MP11 looks the way we want, but i would say he's the "vastly inferior" one.-Kanrabat- wrote:MP-11 is only good for his bot mode. The flaws begin with the jet mode who suffer a bit. Really? None of the supposed functional superiorities of the MP03 mold were present on any of the numerous versions I owned.
MP03 is a flawless jet and compromised robot. MP11 is the flawless robot and compromised jet. (From an aesthetic perspective.) Each has its merits, but it's a stretch to say one is hands down better.
I prefer the MP11 styling myself. But that's because robot mode is most important to me (plus... the MP11 deco is way better in my opinion).

its the functionality of the figures im referring to. ive got 4 MP03 figures, and all are tight, locking, solid pieces of plastic. ive got 5 MP11 figures, and all have the same floppy chest/shoulder dealy.
the compromised robot mode you speak of in MP03 i dont really see as such. he was still functional ie: solid locking transformation. he just wasnt the hardcore G1 look we all wanted. to me, thats the only reason i can see him as "compromised".
MP11's bot mode LOOKS flawless, though is anything but. i cant move his arms without his entire shoulder coming out of place, or pick him up from the torso without it sliding out of place. thats pretty flawed in my opinion. and while the jet isnt as sleek at MP03, its still sleek enough to me.
(not trying to argue. i just loves me some MP03)
Posted by -Kanrabat- on February 21st, 2015 @ 12:50pm CST
Then, come along MP-11. All fees included, with the $ difference, shipping, and customs, MP-11 cost me around 260$CAN. For a toy with lower quality no less. I still have buyer remorse over it. And no way I'm going to sell it. He's still part of my Screamers collection and I will never get my cash back.

They all have flopped back wings at an angle in bot mode.
Weird. I have 3 of them and none are actually MP-11 , mine all stick (or at least I think they do). Of course, after I set them up on the shelf, they only get moved around for new additions and the occasional re-pose. Nothing is flappy on mine when I handle them.
I do remember that being an issue at one point...not sure how I solved it. I am not a big fan of constantly transforming my Transformers.

Just push them back down when you have the arms in position. It's no different than the shoulder "issue" with Generations Blitzwing. Masterpiece figures aren't "toys" in the conventional sense. They're collectors' items with a premium on aesthetics over "playability."
It's not just the shoulder parts. It's the WHOLE thing, the whole red chest part that don't lock into place on the MP-11 mold. It lock perfectly well on any MP-03.
Also, your argument that it dosent matter is invalid. You compare a 100/200$ collector item to a cheap-ass 20/30$ toy. I'm sorry, but when I pay more than 250$ total for a figure, I expect it to be top quality with zero issues. Also, in hand, the 200$ MP-11 felt average at best. The 90$ MP-03 felt like a high end collectible. So yeah, that's quite frustrating.

Agreed. Those loose comments have me scratching my head as well. I don't think the plane mode was compromised on MP-11 either.
It's like saying MP-1 is better than MP-10. It's nuts. The newer molds are better engineered and far more G1 accurate, simple reality.

If I remember correctly on MP-03 the cod piece could flip down allowing the shoulder/chest assembly to slide down and be locked into place when the cod piece was flipped back up. The MP-11 redo doesn't have the moving cod piece although the chest stays fine as long as you don't get too crazy with it. It doesn't help that Hasbro uses the MP-03 instructions for the newer models.

My MP-11 dosent tab in bot mode, chest panels move when I move the arms and if I pick him up by the torso the whole assembly slides upwards. Its an annoyance but I still love this guy.
